Thanks! Came here before doing my first podcast as an guest, heh. Another tip that I found useful is to watch a couple of interviews that the host has done previously to get an idea of the how the podcast will flow.
This was the first video that came up when I searched "podcast guest" and for some reason it's so underrated. Great points! Definitely learned a few things
This video has great tips on being a podcast guest! Doing interviews on OTHER people's podcasts is a great way to grow your business/brand and be considered an expert in your field! I've got some great video detailing just that on my youtube channel!
What I try to do with my show as a host, is to ask questions the guests haven't been asked before. So I painstakingly listen to most of the other shows they have been on to learn about them. As a guest my "niche" if you will is #Polymathy, which honestly leads me to be able to pull from many different areas. So that helps at making each show unique.
So much great, helpful advice here! I love how you break it down into 10 tips. I think it helps as well for guests to think about how they can set a great tone for the episode -- and make the hosts love you! I think doing interviews can be one of the most effective methods for building your authority and growing your business! I've got some great videos on my channel about being a podcast guest and the value it holds! Thanks for sharing James!
Thank you so much for sharing these tips. I have been invited to be a guest on a Padcast (on 2/16/21) regarding my work in Men's Groups / Men's Work in New York State, USA. (2/13/21 Saturday)
Thanks I got my 1st podcast this week!
Great tips! Thank you.
Great tips. As a business manager I always told new receptionists to smile on the phone because a smile can be heard. It's true.

Great tip!
Great tips. A good mic is so important. As well as a pop filter, which many don't realise they need.

Thanks for these tips! Developing a good rapport with the interviewer before the recording is really important for a smooth discussion.
