ahh the mercane widewheel. nice deck. thats about it. worst riding scooter out there straight out of the box. lol. has a bit of a habit cracking every component possible.. well.. although the neck is weak. i think better suspension and wheels would save it a lot. i had bits from doing the OG s8 dual (older two bolt neck base s8's from donor scrapper) i kept the old mercane scrapper decks. only realizing one had a neck crack already. i moved onto the second one. and used the busted post from the broken neck mercane, welded this with the TIG only a 2mm bead all the way around to a hero s8 neck post bottom flange 4 bolt. which allows me to attach the s8 c section front. spun it around as i know trailing arm is much better trailing. lol used the bigger mercane battery 48v. s8 motors and controller. swapped the motor direction and caps around. added x-tech semi hydraulic calipers from the x8. also utilized the stock headlight and rear stop light. anyway. if you have a mercane with a busted front c section snapped at the post. hit up DUBITZ scooters if you would like to do such a modification :)
you can test ride this little sucker at the shop and see what you think :) dont push it too hard tho lol.

the hero s/x8 are the only scoots that have a front suitable for the mercane.
@@highwaltage so I won't be able to fit one of those C-Type front shocks absorbers, you know the one that imitates a planes front strut
@user-nh7mx5xo4b you can using the hero stuff and dual shocks. Single shock and different wheels n tyres sure. But keeping it 8 inches hero s/x8 front c section. The hero s9 rear end swing arms will fit the x8 c section. If you wanna run 8.5inch pneumatics.
@@highwaltage been looking at 11" aftermarket c type shocks I want to keep using the 10" wide wheel pro 500w, I just unlocked the Unrestricted mode.. also getting my front wheel serviced it wasn't working(bad damaged wiring)

You are positively certified nuts lol.. Love it :) That is one awesome "Franken-We-Cane" for sure and especially when that front motor gets put on it! Now you know why weped reverse their front suspension on some of their scooters like the fold ;)
oh i knew. as soon as i saw it i was like oh aircraft front nose gear. hence why i think the weped was an aircraft engineers design project to avoid welding lol. not sure if i want a front motor tho. knowing how much they pull and how weak the mercane neck is...
@@highwaltage Be curious to know if the neck can be strengthened with bolt-ons to strengthen it with little to no cost given your background in machining? But for sure.. she's a little.. how do you folks call it in Australia.. Little Ripper ?
@@oddtechman machining and low cost dont traditionally fit in the same sentence lol. i could design a stronger bolt in neck piece but that takes more time. i gather bits and then ponder over what and how they go together then just execute. this one took a solid day and night to complete. i try not to drag things on as once something else is in my view. bam! there goes my attention lol.

@@oddtechman its already faster than a widewheel pro dual as a single lol. i'll flip the x8 front around next :), got a couple of bits i made to improve the front end feel of the s10 as well.
Hi mate, you’ve done a great job on the wide wheel. I’m wondering if there’s any way you could help with wiring a similar tf-100 style throttle on my widewheel? A simple wiring diagram would be a massive help. Thanks in advance
you will only be able to use the throttle part. not the lcd at all... so you only really need the case with the throttle and magnet part. no internal lcd required if you just want to use a finger throttle. to use the LCD as intended. you have to use the controller that goes along with it and bypass the mercane stuff like i have here.

Hi just got widewheel pro cle and i was wondering what part and installation do i need to make it like yours
hero s8 or s9 controllers x2 and hero s8 or x8 motors. and s8 or x8 front c section.
That suspension looks great. appears to give it some more travel room.
Just got a dual pro. It's pretty stock. Recommend any upgrades?

Hey bro, this gonna be a random question. I need help with the p setting, the one that has to do with the motor magnet. How do I know what to set it to?

@@highwaltage Does the single 500W motors all have the same numbers of magnets? I can’t seem to get the speed on the lcd screen to match with the gps on my phone. LCD screen showing like 7 mph higher than what the gps is saying on the phone.
@@wipeout5006 thats what they all are. Wheel speed is diff to gps. Turn down wheel diameter until it matches. I use 10.2 on 11 inch hubs.

Some welding is involved. S8 front end parts and two hero s8 or x8 motors and controller and lcd. The mercane battery and frame is all that's kept.

I have a mercane. I want to put tires with air and modify the suspension. Lengthen the swingarms to increase the travel, thus adding spring to compensate
@@cristianbaeza648 just sell it at that point, there is so much work it would ruin the entire scooter. You can get more money for it as it stands. Then invest into a scooter that has features you are after like an apollo or something.

you wont be able to use the lcd fucntions of the tf-100. just the hall sensor for the throttle itself.
