The greatest moments music has to offer. Immortal.

I only used to know the studio version, but now I know this is my favorite one. It's amazing how they ended up capturing this concert with such high quality. To me it's like the perfect link between early raw Nirvana and massively popular Nirvana.
I love the fact that the song is slowed down, especially in the beginning when you can hear Kurt starting to sing slower and draw out his words. Almost like he's making us wait for it. Making us pay extra attention to what he's saying.
If you listen super close you can hear some heckler yell "WHO JERK OFF!!!" after he says hairy sweaty redneck macho men. I think that's what he pulls the face at.
People cheering to his intro are like those described in "In bloom": "He's the one Who likes all our pretty songs And he likes to sing along And he likes to shoot his gun But he knows not what it means"
Well to be fair they didn't hear him say "who rape" until after they started clapping and then you can hear them stop clapping. (Few stragglers still clap tho)
The tempo of this first version of rape me is unmatched by the studio version and later live versions, the guitar solo and tempo shifts in this version are amazing.
Well they had an interface that recorded it to make it a live album, so this has been extensively edited and enhanced. Really if you were there it would be loud as hell and there would be a lot of reverb
They rehearsed for hours like a regular job. They played alot together. Jack Endino said they recorded alot of songs in one take. When you play together that much, live will sound the same if not better than the recording. Kurt's voice would always sound just as good live because he always played guitar while he recorded vocals. So there's no difference. 🤘

Kudos to the camera operators!! 👌 I also really love how Kurt plays the verse chord progression a bit differently and picks out different notes. It really gives it a different melodic sound just by one note. If only he could have coped with media hype attention, things would be a lot different these days. Sadly he just wasnt able to deal with pressure of Nirvama becoming such a grunge sensation. RIP KURT 💞
