      It actually doesn’t. In the solo in the album version there is a guitar playing the main riff in the background. Now if you’re referring to when they play it live then yes you’re correct.

    It’s no wonder so many people (including myself) see Kurt as such a powerful figure in music history, he took simple guitar techniques such as power chords and made a masterpiece. Then his lyrics and the way he sings them allows him to express his anger and other emotions to make people feel happy, it’s a shame that it didn’t make him happy like it made others happy.

    • @dr_doozy9920

      I think music was one of the few things that did make him happy. He just came from an unfortunate broken background and had mental health issues and a nasty drug addiction, both of which we didn't know how to deal with back then.

    • @George_C-e4v
      @George_C-e4v หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Power chords are actually the reason why his music was pretty complex. Power chords have no minor/major/seventh, so you can sing how you want.. that´s how Kurt composed such great unconventional melodies. Most "musical experts" get stuck on their own theory knowledge

    Was 19 when I first heard this masterpiece. Could not believe this was actually coming through my speakers. It was surreal. There are a handful of things that pass through your soul while you are on this planet. This my friend was one of them. Thank you Kurt.. then now and forever.

    For people wondering where this footage came from, it was part of the 20th anniversary box set of Nevermind. The footage from the concert was remastered and released on dvd. It used to be an exclusive until independent channels uploaded the footage to TH-cam. I guess the label eventually decided to release it officially. Pretty cool to see though!

Living in Vancouver, Canada, about 2 hours from Seattle, you could feel and see the swell of hype and attention this ban was garnished with and how it grew so quickly. That "Grunge", became a new word in the modern vocabulary and of course the name or term to be forever associated with the the band Nirvana. For Nirvana was and still is a movement that helped give the youth a voice to be understood by. "No Apologizes".

    This is one of the (probably THE) best live performance of this song. And to answer a few other comments on here, they were not sick of this song yet as they came to be. I want to say this concert is like MAYBE 2 months after SLTS hit the airwaves and maybe 1 month after the album actually dropped.

      Rush might have been better at their instruments, but Nirvana is 10x better than them. Nirvana has so much more depth and emotion, plus Geddy Lee is amazing but his voice is just awful. Never could get into it.

      @@loganvana I've met many music heads that like similar music that I do and they always either LOVE Rush or HATE them! It's so weird. Geddy doesn't have the best voice but for me, damned if the sum of Rush's parts are far greater than their individual contributions!! I like Kurt's voice better but there's so many songs from Rush I absolutely love.. Nirvana was putting out the best stuff of a generation but it got cut short tragically. What might have been.
      Nirvana had more atmospheric songs but Rush has a few. Check out Witch Hunt from Moving Pictures.
