I found this to be one of the most "fun" of any souls/soulslike games I've played. Other than the last three bosses, I played on normal and it never felt too hard or overwhelming, as the parry timing was implemented really well and not grindingly precise like Lies of P. The 2nd open world section did wear a little thin, but after it transitioned to a great series of linear levels all the way to the end. I ended up enjoying it more than Wukong or Shadow of the Erd Tree, just because of the more balanced difficulty and its various little charms, like the wardrobe and the haircuts and some of the side content.
On the other hand: Wukong is probably one of worst soulslikes for beginners. It didn't help that devs repeatedly stated that it isn't a soulslike and a lot of people parroted that before launch. Turns out it is a soulslike and a pretty hard one.
@@backlogbaldie it's definitely a good game. I personally bashed my head against one the optional bosses, rage quitted and currently chilling in other games.
@@backlogbaldie IMO it's pretty easy for the most part, but there are a handful of bosses that are really difficult/require expert timing. This becomes much more frustrating as the performance tanks on the PS5 in the second half of the game.
I only knew about Stellar Blade because of the controversy with Eve's design. I didn't bat another eye at the game until I saw actual gameplay from a reviewer and was like "wait, that actually looks... fun?" It ain't Game of the Year, that's for sure. But I was pleasantly surprised on how much I enjoyed the game.
You had me at: Souls like with Dress-up Barbie elements, Baldie. Adding Stellar Blade to my wishlist so I can pick it up after Alan Wake 2. Which I’m getting after I’ve bought Dragon Age: The Veilguard and the merch for the game. Thanks as always for growing my collection Baldie 😂
@@KingSavy100 Scadutree Fragment system completey ruined any sense of balance in enemy design and alot of the bosses are too over the top for a game where you're still stuck in 2009 with the gameplay limitations Elden Ring has.
@@KaiKrimson56 I was more than pleased with how hard it was, it got too easy when you get all the fragments. I hate that they nerfed the difficulty honestly but i can definetly understand some bosses would kill you as soon as you enter the boss room lol that shit was funny as hell to me seeing all the ghosts dying at the door and bloodstains. Commander Gaiuss and Romula were the hardest to me. Radan is just op.
I find the world boring, npcs, dialogs, quests, music, all are just repetitive. You're just collecting cans and sexy outfit. I was hyped for this game but I couldn't finished it because it was just that boring.
I really hope we get a PC release for this

The fun levels were a very pleasant surprise for me too. Especially after Erdtree!
