I can relate to this. I was married for 30 years I was 16 had 4 children and lost myself, my identity. Was abused most of my life. When i took the courage to get a divorce, I found myself. No one helped, supported me not even some family members..But now i am happier..

How coincidental - Crossroads - the inter school competition is conducted by my alma mater St Francis' College, Lucknow & its Old Student's Association called OFA. I just googled Kanika Kapoor's year of birth which is 1981 so if she was 14 years old, it must have been Crossroads '95. This is almost a decade later to my graduation from SFC. 😊

very few of them have the courage to come out of their closet
They except the life they are living. Not everyone have the courage to move out and start a new life. Very very few have the courage and found freedom . A big salute to these women. Hope many more get the power an move towards freedom in their life.❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😢

What an Amazing and Inspiring Journey of Ms. Kanika Kapoor.👌👌🙌
She’s Risen from Bottom of the Pit’ (so to speak) Like
    Phoenix from Ashes !
The Beauty of her Inspiring Story is, that while showing her Vulnerable Side of herself, where She had to Ride against the Tide’ many times,
and yet has shown through Sheer Hard work, and Quiet Determination, how anyone can Achieve their Dreams/Goals ‘ irrespective of Harsh Circumstances around Oneself , or in One’s Life !
    Really Remarkable !
    👌👌👌
Good Luck and Best wishes for your Future Endeavours Ms. Kanika !👍😊
    Love her Famous Song…
    “Chittiya Kalaiyya” 👍😊
    And
    also ,
appreciate the Interviewer’ who’s asked the right Questions , and extracted so much Information from her Guest,
without interrupting her, or Asking , or Dwelling too much on Kanikas’ Personal life.
And also without asking Intimidating, Flaky Personal Questions !

Kanika Kapoor is a truly inspirational human being. Who would have known that she worked in a GP Practice in Hayes!! The only real downside is the interviewer - poor questions, not engaging as a presenter at all and repeatedly makes strange noises/comments pretending to be concerned. Without Kanika (who carried the podcast) this would be a very drab production. Onwards and upwards for Kanika!

Kanika is smart and has done well in her career. Kudos to her. But I am disappointed when she and the interviewer are talking (incorrectly) about kanyadaan. One needs to educate oneself about these important topics before talking publicly about them. Best of luck to her.

    • @goldenbrown3283
      @goldenbrown3283 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

This woman is a fool !!! She did the vocals for Jugni ji with Dr Zeus and shortie did the rapping . I personally know Zeus since he was a child and he learnt his trade at Kam Frantics studio . When the song became a hit she tried to claim the song as hers !!! The copyright of the track was registered to Dr Zeus and it was done on the moviebox label !!!. All new artist are willing to sign on any contract when they are not famous but as soon as they get fame they get big headed an think they can do it on their own !!!. She thought she could take on a big company like Moviebox 😂😂😂😂. She refused to do live gigs which she had signed up for !!!!. She was asking for triple the money because her husband was whispering in her ear !!! . The guy messed things up for her and he then became her ex !!!!. When she went to India to do her music is when she go screwed by the Indians and her ex husband !!!. She though her looks could get her far in the music industry and forgot that she needs to remain humble !!!. She wanted the Bollywood dream and she was brought back to reality !!!!. There have been lots of artist like her who messed up their careers !!!!. They say if you find a cash cow then milk it for as long as you can !!!!. She should have stayed loyal to Dr zeus and moviebox !!!.

But the moment the realize I run my own business (400 staff), live independently in Sydney, into property investing and developments - did all this without any help from parents. (I am not even 30yrs)
I like to call a spade a spade (and a mamma's boy as it is)
They run for the hills - and say they & the family would like a "demure girl" (what they mean is a slave girl) and there is this inbuilt expectation where they believe we MUST serve them!!! --- I m soooo disgusted by men these days (doesn't matter what nationality - they are all very feminine, crybabies and wanna be treated like royalty - but unable to provide emotional, psychological, intellectual, analytical, spiritual, physical or financial support from their side)

She seemed to live a privileged life, she married a rich GP and spent his money lunching around london. I respect she's made a career in music, but her music is very sub-par, she's taken some very beautiful Punjabi folk and modernised it, but I'm guessing that was more Bollywood's influence and I'm also glad she turned away from Bollywood. Having a career in Bollywood is not something to be proud of, they produce trash songs - often degrading and anti-feminine and caters to the male gaze. Looking forward to listen to what she sings/produces next...

Struggle rich or poor is still a struggle. Everyone has their battles. The narrative doesn't always have to be with poor people.
