- Scots Nomad presses the reset switch and does some grounding in a the Ochil hills, a peaceful walk over the local hills before finding a secluded spot on Whitewisp Hill to enjoy the solitude.
The external mic for the phone was broken on a previous outing and the tripod broke on this outing making filming a “challenge”.
A cold night but enjoying the peace and quiet, and a stunning sunrise…

Nice video, the timelapse with the cloud blowing over was beautiful. I have a very similar setup to you gear wise, I love seeing a Niak in action in Scotland. Only thing I would swap out is the whisky, I prefer the peaty ones myself.

I’ve tried a couple of the peaty ones, I think my taste is getting softer lol, still liking the Speyside and Highland ones, used to like a Talisker at times 👍

Cheers bud. I have had mine over 3 years now and have loved every minute I have spent in it. We both basically have the same set up with the 10mm poles and the extra guy on the door and they make it an excellent shelter. The only difference is mine is sand coloured but I have to say the more I see of the dark green the more I like it. Stay safe, happy camping and I look forward to your next vid.👌

Yeah the reds look great in photos don’t they, but I have always been put off by the bright glare when inside. Maybe one day I”ll give one a try.

You actually got a shout out on this one, I had to do several takes, and, the sound got drowned out, spotty it didn’t make this one… there’s at least seven takes when talking about the sleep system, either tired or it was the whisky 😂

Anyhow thanks for the shout out and I hear you on doing multiple takes, it happens to me all the time as well. I surprise myself with how much footage I have at times that isn’t usable, lol.

As long as there’s enough there I can hopefully salvage a little bit.
A bit like when we all used film for photographs, if we got 5 or 6 decent pics out of a 36 frame film, it was a good day 😂
