    Great tent and great mods! The need to pack it vertically has bothered me for some time but I haven't bothered to get a compression sack until now. Thank you for the tip 👍

    Good video. I have an Unna not not a Niak. The reason I got the Unna is it does not need any pegs at all. Perfect for camping on bare rock where you'd not be able to get a peg in and have to use a rock for the Niak vestibule.

    I've got the niak coming on Monday I like the idea of the line locks on corners especially in the colder seasons lowering the catenary curves👍

    How are you attaching the linelocs to the tent peg loops at the corners? Do you have to cut the loops and stitch them back together?

      Which one is that? I had a look and couldn't see a suitable length. Tyvek sheets seem to be decent value but not so light. My MSR Hubba Hubba nx2 footprint is 200g, I'd like to use something under 100g.

      Yeah, a 30D floor will probably get away with a footprint not being used all the time unless the ground conditions are terrible. But I still use my footprint and the tent floor is in great shape even after 8 years.

    I actually want to do the carbon pole swap you did. The poles that come with the Niak are 370 cm. The TT ones are 366 cm. There's no side effects from the carbon poles being 4 cm shorter? Are you just tightening the pole end adjusters to make up the missing pole length?

    • @evacoutdoors5867
      @evacoutdoors5867  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had not noticed the difference to be honest they just go in the holders and tighten them. Only think is that the alloy ones are pre bent so they add a bit of tension across the back. That’s all I’ve noticed.

    • @evacoutdoors5867
