You know when you come across a teacher or a mentor or whatever, who just says the right things that make you understand what they’re trying to impart on you, where others have failed before? SS is this guy. Thank you brother!!
That’s a special comment. Thank you! My videos very much reflect my one to one teaching style. I try to include every bit of information I think useful, sometimes imagining the questions a student might ask.
it’s an iconic solo. so beautiful and emotionally satisfying that i don’t think i’ve ever given it a thought. i dig the details in the explanation of how the solo works. very few teachers add that layer of depth. a graphic display would make it easier for me to copy the tabs into my notes. ☮️❤️🌍🌎🌏
Just because you can give me a lesson in 10 minutes doesn’t mean I can *learn* it in 10 minutes. But it’s a lot more approachable than I had anticipated, so thanks for your time. I will check out more of your content. You’re a hoot.
Dude! Another great lesson. (FOR FREE PEOPLE!) A great breakdown, stellar camera work, and your typical deep insight to the genius of Jimmy Page. While us mere mortals will never actually capture the greatness of ZOSO, you help us get a little bit closer while having a laugh at ourselves. Cheers! 👌
For some reason he never played Livin’ Lovin’ live. I love it. There are a lot of articles about his supposed dislike of it. Far Out Magazine in the UK has an online explanation. Because of the massive radio play after Heartbreaker, it's hard to imagine the 2 apart.
HA!! I learned it in 9 min. Didnt even need you for the last full 60 seconds. I was like.."whats this guy still doing , hangin around on my TV for.? I'm done with him. ..Is he still here.? It was probably a little awkward for the both of us. Great video man
Hey Sped! Thanks again for this man, you are indeed second to none with your Zeppelin tutorials! I'm guessing you're saving 'Hot Dog' for a monumental break down like your 'Black Dog' tutorial..... epic 🙂🤟
Thanks for helping with the chromatic walk up at the end. I have always been able to get it to sound good but I knew something was slightly amiss. Page can be a mystery. Especially trying to suss betwixt his bends and slides. Especially when he does them many different ways himself depending on what day it is and how he is feeling at the moment. Lol.
I like this video, very much, Ive always loved this solo, but its not often covered is it - kudos for sharing it. Your vid has given me the inspiration and confidence to have a go as an infrequent player and returnee✌️👍💜😊
That’s a very good solo Sped 😁😁😁😂😂👍 Thanks for sharing Going to enjoy the 3 stop bend and the ascended b string riff Great advice as always You have a great weekend 👍😎
What book is that? I like get it and read a chapter ,then keep meaning to get back to it …like i did with the srv day by day night by night books 😬🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️👍🏼✌️
I haven't checked in for a bit. Still love the channel, and still hoping to collaborate one day! Also can I say... I believe your lighting may be the best on TH-cam. Were you aware of that?
You could cap the G if you want. I can think of quite a few without hurting my brain too much, not even including the open tuning stuff. I bet if you look hard enough he did something in Qflat or P.
There is a bootleg out there where Plant welcomes the crowd and tells them they will play for over 3 hours but not to expect and silliness like Living Loving Maid. Okay it is not Ten Years Gone but it is fun as hell and damn I would have loved one live take of Heart>Maid. Oh well. Would have liked one In The Light as well....... Hey Sped, love ya my friend. My goal in life is to be half as cool as you. I am currently at 5% 😁
Interesting fact about Jimmy Page: he only plays in keys where the note can be found as a letter in his name. I can't wait to figure out which of his songs are in the key of J, the key of I, the key of M, and the key of Y.
You think the space is tight? You should try playing all this on a Mustang's 24" neck. Which Jimmy totally should have used in Dazed and Confused (the 7.5" fretboard radius is, short of a violin, ideal for someone to take a bow to the thing, should anyone ever get the mad idea to bow an electric guitar.). With a feather touch you can actually access ALL the strings, not just E, and uh, E. How are you getting that extremely tight fuzz on a strat? It sounds a bit Cream era Clapton-esque, but I doubt you're plugged into an overdriven JCM-800, because when playing at home one likes to be in the same room as one's amp.
The first time I used Google maps my phone took me past Jimmy's house. It's my direct route home from Holland Park. I keep trying to manifest meeting him.
If you ever want to sell it at a market price just reply here again and its done. We could go thru reverb. Thx, Maynard! It's like you got a free winter version Tree of Life on a real Fender. Truly special in my book.

Sped!!! Very sad, started the video and you used the trem???? How dare you, do ya ever remember a Trem on James P2 Les Paul? Hey Brother bustin your balls. Great song and compact melodic solo! Don’t know why Jimmy doesn’t like it. So classic LZ.

So informative.
I had no idea that pagey only played in keys that start with a letter, mind blowing. That explains so much
