    It's so nice to see your simple goldfish aquascape but it's elegant one.

    Looks good.. .you have great filtration..
    Algae probably because of bit of new tank issues and too much light but you dealt with that.
    Wow that is a deep clean...
    Rock scape looks nice..
    Love java fern

    Hi ,I like this set up the best.
    Your tank looks awesome.
    How often do you need to clean your canister filter and sponge filter please ?
    Thank you for all of your very helpful content.

      I’m glad you find the content helpful! I clean the sponge filter out weekly when I do a water change, and the canister filter probably gets cleaned out every couple of months, or if I see the flow rate starting to drop. 😊

    Looks lovely! I've always found the diatom stage lasts longer with goldies. I just lean into it and dose ferts with the weekly water change, just seems to encourage healthier, quicker growth in the plants for me. I have monstera in mine now as well that helps with nutrient export between changes, I do have to buffer my water with aragonite though, my water is incredibly soft and comes out at around 6.4, I also dose a fair bit of salt as well, I should probably just do discus 😂 thinking about it

      Thank you! Yeah, I haven’t really had too much of an issue with diatoms before, but the last couple of tanks I setup were low tech ecosystems with snails that I think may have taken care of it for me.. hopefully this new setup works out!! 😀👊

    Whats the condition of those floating plants now? Have the goldfish completely obliterated them? Asking to decide if I should buy some too for my goldfish aquarium :)

    • @GingerFishyOfficial
      @GingerFishyOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, all good! They definitely do have a little munch on them, but they grow quicker than the fish can eat them! 😊

      @@GingerFishyOfficial i had put 3 plants in my 80L goldfish tank, they munched on them and made like look bad, so i removed it after about 2 months. I don't know the names of the plants, but they really did amp up the beauty of the tank.

    And unfortunately the Driftwood always will Leach tanning because I’ve used it in the past and you can’t get rid of them 3 years I had it in my aquarium and had tanning for the entire 3 years

      Yeah, I don’t think I’d use Mopani wood in a scape again..
