Quick update from my chat with Goal Zero on how to reset your Yeti. According to them, you actually only need to press the UNITS + INFO for a hard reset (no need to also press LIGHT). This reset is harmless and is one of the first things their support folks ask you to do to solve common problems. If a single port (DC, USB, AC) is acting up, you can press and hold the button for that section for 20-30 seconds to reset the port manually. Hope this helps someone looking for troubleshooting help!

Many, many thanks for this!! I have a new Yeti 1000 that I've used once. After discharging the power down to about 54%, I plugged it back in but it wouldn't charge. This worked for mine as well. I have the 3000X. What has happened ( twice so far ) is that the display shows zero and it starts beeping. However, It's not drained, because it was at 94% this morning and nothing is plugged in. The first time is did it, I just put it in another room for the night so I wouldn't hear the beeping. And in the morning, it showed over 90% again. Tonight, I did the reset and it worked. Thanks so much
Todd, you are my Goal Zero Hero. I was doing a little product testing and comparison today using my GZ Yeti 1000. Put too much of a load on it (Small heater pulling about 1450 watts), after about 17 minutes the Yeti just stopped working and read zero % power on the screen (I planned to stop it at 20%, but i got distracted). I started to recharge the unit. The flashing battery indicated less than 20% full, the right side of the screen was telling 51% full, and 3 hours until full using the supplied charger. Well, I knew that wasn't right. Then I remembered this video. Todd, you saved me a phone call to GZ customer service tomorrow. I applied the reset/reboot trick, and boom, it's charging and providing accurate information. Thanks very much for doing these informative videos. Take care. ~ Dave
If anyone is still having issues with the Yeti lithium 'crashing' and going black you can open up the top lid (I have the lithium 3000...) and look for the two buttons on the back wall of that storage bay. Press and hold the lower button with a yellow circle around it (NOT the wifi button) for ~3 seconds. The screen should go blank and reset. This also resets your TOTAL 'Watt Hours' used to date. Hope this helps.
I have a 3000x, light works but won't charge either with the power chord or the solar pannel. Only reacts if I plug in with the 60w port. Tried the reset. Any suggestions?
I know the video is old but the information still seems good. I used this method to reboot my Yeti 3000 because I could no longer access its wifi or connect with its Bluetooth. I held down the three-finger salute and the unit started beeping. After more than a minute it stopped beeping and the screen came back on. I tried to connect via wifi and it had the default password again. Thanks.
Just got off the phone with goal zero and they said to reset the display simple hold "Info" and "units" together for a few short seconds and it will do a quick display reset.
Good advice, but didn't work with my 1400. Called GZ and they can replace the battery for $900. Very frustrating. They are moving to the new battery type from the older Lithium on new models.
Thanks, Todd, my Yeti is a 400. The Output was stuck on 999. So different buttons and I pushed all 4 and held with the unit plugged in. Came back in few seconds reset and working fine.
Hi sir just wanted to say thanks for you videos on resetting a goal zero I just gut 2 of the500x ones and one of them out the box was looking crazy on the screen I remembered your video and I did what you did and it has fixed it so thanks ones again
Also you gut me experimenting and I was able to chain 2 goal zero yeti 500x by connecting ac from 500x#1 to 500x#2 and the same with the usb-c 60watts out/in to get 70 plus hrs of run time for my domestic cfx 95 at the less not counting the off and of the motor inside the domestic cfx95. So thanks for the seeds of ideas you’ve planted with your videos I’m thinking of DIY solar systems to explore next.🤪😊
Thanks this did the trick for me! I wasn’t seeing input (0 watts) from my car alternator extension that is connected to my battery terminals. After the tester I’m getting a sting 460w input and fans are humming Cheers!
this did not work for me now what's flashing is the USB button and also the Wi-Fi with the Bluetooth button is flashing. Input & output 0 Watts. Zero battery. Yeti 3000X Goal Zero. I paired it with my bluetooth on my phone I don't know why I did that. Lol Help me reboot this please so it will start charging again. Thank you
Hi there Todd, I bought the same unit abt 4-5 yrs ago, have not used it much, so of corse the battery ran down, it show 22 percent. We tried to change it for two days and it just doesn’t get higher than 22%. So question can the Goal Zero 1000 be rebuilt? My husband doesn’t know anything abt rebuilding one, but I am guessing there must be a way, I can’t be the only one, Thank You, 71 yr old grandma Dino 3:50
Unfortunately they never offered replacement batteries and it would be very difficult to do safely. You might want to reach out to support, they might be willing to swap the unit with a refurb for a lower cost than buying a new one. You need to discharge and recharge these every few months to keep the batteries healthy
Just the power cable. I have a few power adapters combined with an Anderson cable but just try plugging in the wall charger, it helps it wake up sometimes
@@todd.parker My battery would not recharge. That reset trick you demonstrated seemed to work, although mine made a beeping noise for a while. I could not read the display to see what it meant. GoalZero also said you can reset it by plugging it in using w computer USB adapter. This didn’t make much sense to me. I think they were talking about a 3rd way to charge it, besides the two regular power cables. Do you know what that means?
Quick mention since don't think they were out at time of OG post, I rebooted (same calibration issue above) BUT along with my FAST charger attached to the system and Fast charger NO longer works with the GZ, may have shorted it out? All else function although still wont read beyond 95%, anyhow just in case, please be aware.
Yes all others work, and GZ CS superb as always returned the unit in question and GZ covered shipping accordingly. Will report when the new 25 is in hand.
My yeti doesn't have a units button. Mine has the buttons above the USB the button above the 12 vote and the will you put the 2 receptors then with the wires. do you have any idea what I could push to make mine restart. My yeti is about 5 yrs old but hardly used. Thank you
Thank you Todd! My Goal Zero Yeti 1400 Gen 1 started doing strange things. It stopped showing Output voltage when I was charging stuff, it would still still them but now show any output. Also when I charge the yeti unit it would show massive output and well as slightly higher input even tho I was charging nothing and it was still charging the unit at normal speed for the input. I was googling how to yank the fuse to reset it, this much quicker. Not sure why this isn't in the manual, which was the first placed I looked.
Which fuse was it I’m having issues with my yeti 1000x the AC is working anymore I have tried the reset as per the video instructs but it still doesn’t work maybe pulling the fuse might just really reset evrything
Hi Todd, I think I’ve pooched my goal zero. Screen is blank, reset won’t work, I’ve unplugged the internal black and red…. Nothing. Any suggestions? If not, have you ever taken one part to harvest the batteries?
I tried the reset, the screen went blank and stayed like it! (Yeti 1400 lithium) nothing working, no signs of life, does it need power from solar panel to perform the software reset (as I tried reset at night!)?
I found that plugging it into the wall charger helps it restart. If that doesn't work, you could try disconnecting the internal battery for a deeper reset. See this video: th-cam.com/video/ilR7ETxbhIk/w-d-xo.html
@@todd.parker I tried the reset with it plugged into 240 ac and then took the top off and disconnected the Anderson pole connectors as you showed on the other video, the screen came on briefly but no power in or out then it went blank. It’s just over three years old so no warranty seems a shame to have to bin it.
My Yeti1000 is several years old. Ran a 10 Amp pump and the battery quit working after about 15 minutes running. no front button reset available. Called customer service and they had me unscrew the 10 screws holding the bottom. Then unplug and replug a low voltage wire set. It worked but never showed 200% again. Carefully used the pump again but only intermittently. It kept working a couple more times. After a month or so it won’t work. Bottom reset is not working and instructions from this video won’t get it going. Bummer that the battery seem to be ok but the software and breakers are junk.
FOR X-LINE: Soft reset Steps: Reset button for 5-6 seconds until beeps and screen flashes Factory/hard reset Steps: UNITS and INFO for 10-15 seconds until beeps and wifi flashes Battery reset Steps: INFO and RESET button for 5-6 seconds, unit goes black and unresponsive for a minute or two, it will come back on
So I just did this to my 400 Lithium, the screen slowly faded away. And now it's just black. I did that about 10 minutes ago. Not sure if my battery just got toasted or if takes for ever to reset
Mine has gone dead as of last night. It was roughly 95% last night when I last saw it, this morning the screen was dark and nothing I have done will revive it. Tried the restart shown here and nothing. The only power port that lights up when connected to AC is the MPPT module. The built in PWM does not light up when connected. Any ideas?
Hi, exactly the same thing happened to mine. It was fully charged, and plugged in to AC through the MPPT. MPPT still shows green charging light, but unit is completely dead otherwise. Were you able to get this fixed somehow on your unit?
Mine went from 35% to totally unresponsive except for the Link attachment when my vehicle is charging it. Wall charger does nothing. Reset attempts do nothing.
You will then need to turn it over remove the screws on the back cover, takeoff the back cover. Disconnect the small connector you’ll see on the side there are like three or four wires on the connector. Then disconnect the two screws that hold on the negative cable, they are pretty big. Then wait a few minutes, then reconnect the negative terminal again, then plug in the small wire connectors again and everything should be good to go. I got that in Goal Zero.
Just got a brand new spanking 400 lithium and it’s not charging! Wtf! When I plug it in, the screen and blue light will flash then nothing happens. It’s like it’s dead. I’ll unplug it again and repeat and same results. Sometimes the screen and blue light will blink twice then nothing. Am I making sense? Any help pls?
Got a new 3000X and it came with 74 % charge, but it wouldn't charge. I called the solutions center at 4:20 PM mountain time ( 20 minutes before closing, but Elvis had left the building). I called back the next day and was told the reset process ( hold unit and info button until wifi symbol flashes, then lift the cover and hold the lower of two buttons under the wifi symbol) but it still won't charge. Was told it should charge when the charge is under 94 %. Then was told to discharge it to under 50%. I discharged to 39 % but it still won't charge. This unit was provided free from PG&E to power refrigerator and medical cpap while we loose power during PG&E shutoff ( PSPS) in Sierra Nevada mountains that are prone to safety shutoffs during fire season. If you are going to spend your own money to get a power solution, maybe look for a solution that is with a company that mans its phones, and pays enough money to get the best software and hardware designers. I' ve read too many complaints at this point.
That sounds terrible. I keep hearing about problems with the X line, especially with charging. I’ve had good luck with my Yeti 1000 and their chat support but maybe they’ve gone downhill. Lucky to have that program, a free 3000?!
Hey Todd, Great videos! I have a new Goal Zero 500X as a replacement for a defective unit. I've used the new one a handful of times, 5-6 times for 5-6 hours powering a Dometic cooler. Through all those times, I haven't had the fans turn on once. I called Customer Support and they mentioned that fans would only come on when the Goal Zero internal temp hits 94 degrees. Could you let me know if that's your experience as well. They didn't have a way for me to test the fans. I thought I could do so through the reset but I didn't want to risk bricking a new unit. Last thing, for anyone here, is it common for the overwhelming plastic smell to come from the unit. They said it's the flame retardant spray on the internal unit. Really strong smell and not sure if it's common for all units. Thanks for any help.
My fans rarely turn on and usually only when charging or discharging at a high rate. Otherwise they are silent. Mine didn’t have a strong smell. That seems unusual.
@@todd.parker Thanks so much for the reply! GZ Customer Service said their unit's "smell" lasted for a short time and eventually they didn't notice anymore. Also, in less than 24 hours of use, I've had the 12v portion of the unit trip charging my Dometic Cooler. Unit might be defective. May have to get another replacement. Thanks again for the help.
@@johnpaulcastillo05 That's not a great sign. I've heard about lots of reliability issues with Goal Zero Yeti X units so definitely keep tabs on it and return it if anything seems off. They do a good job of standing behind their products but I'd expect better reliability for the price. The Ecoflow River Pro is probably a good option if this doesn't work out.
@John Castillo my 400 had a smell and I returned it to goal zero Canada and even they were surprised. I bought another 400 from Costco and that one was fine, no smell. I eventually got the li-1000 and today the fan was on all day due to extreme heat outside, and especially in the vehicle. The temp alert icon was on and I think it was stuck with the fan on. I just did the reset and all good now.
Awesome find. I'm having an issue w my 120v ac. The light is red. Work power. Beeps a few times each time I tie it off and on. Tried your reset with no luck.
@@analisahale5257 Hi I had to send my in unfortunately there was a fuse blown on the inside, I ended up getting a replacement. I did try this multiple times and just called the goal zero number and spoke with customer support. I hope you get yours figured out! Mine was luckily still under warranty. No more issues yet so far. Is yours wired into your house?
I had a weird problem with mine. When I plug in solar into the MPPT it sees it and recognizes the power coming in. When I unplug solar but plug in the A/C I get an odd occurrence. If I am using 160 watts instead of keeping the output at 160 and increasing the input by 60, it reduces the output by 60. When I plugged in the 2nd A/C cable it further reduced the output by 60 which brought it down to approx 40. I plugged solar back in and solar input was recognized. It is almost like the device is doing the math and telling me the difference of input vs. output instead of just giving me the raw figures. The A/C inputs do not light up or blink the way solar does, however they do get hot so I know they are sending power in. I called Goal Zero and they are sending me a replacement unit, but I thought it was really odd and interesting. I only had this thing a week. Tried the reset in this video but that didn't help.
Brian Cook maybe check to see if the micro usb is connected from the MPPT module to the Yeti. Just watched a Will Prouse video where he rigged up an external MPPT unit to the Yeti and it would charge but the input said zero. He suggested that the USB was sending the Yeti the volts/amps/watts data via that cable...
@@todd.parker thanks for the suggestion but the mppt is working fine with both solar and AC. It's the 8mm chargers on the left and the top of the device that are acting strange.
Have a 1000 that just stopped working after this soft reset! The fan now just runs full time and no lights or display working. Just tried the batt disconnect reset and as soon as it’s connected it just goes back to the same state with the fan and no lights. Anyone have anything like this happen to them ? Thanks all
I’ve just purchased the 500X and basically it’s not charging. It’s charged the first two times and now nothing. Doesn’t matter if it’s from the wall, car or solar. All buttons and plug-ins work, just will not charge. Thought or comments/tips welcome.
Same thing happened to my 1 month old 500X. Stopped accepted charge from either AC or DC source. Neither port works. REI reviews list similar issues. Seems the 500X units have a major flaw. Highly disappointing experience with the Goal Zero brand.
My yeti 1400 is probably only four months old. When I first got it everything went black again no buttons worked. Called Goal Zero they helped me try the reset, still nothing. Ended up taking the back off removing the terminals from the battery and the connector reconnecting the connector back up putting the terminals back on and everything works. Now that it’s been sitting for a couple of months everything is black again no buttons work. I shined a flashlight in the screen I can see it still says 100 percent but none of the ports work am I going to have to take the back off again, this is getting ridiculous.
No, none of the ports work either. I ended up taking the back off and undoing the connector to the control and undoing the positive and negative terminals waiting a minute or so putting them all back together now it works great. But shouldn’t have to do that
I have a brand new 6000x that won't charge from solar. Three days and no response from support. These things seem like the firmware programmers and electrical engineers have a lot of bugs to work out and their QA is junk. I also have a duracell unit. That thing is no better. It uses a solar controller from a water pump.
That's not good. So when you have the DC or AC sections on (green light) and attach a load, it says 0 watts? Also, did you check to see if it's watt hours (cumulative) or watts (current)
@@todd.parker Thanks. I tried the 3 button press to reset my Yeti 3000 but it did not respond. The backlight remained OFF with 40% displayed (the % sign blinking). Perhaps my issue is different. Any thoughts.
So I've had my 1500x for just over 2 years and I went on vacation, my Yeti was fully charged. I unplugged it and left my home for two weeks, came back and plugged it back in and....NOTHING. I called Goal Zero support and they can't help me. Said my warranty is expired and repairs could cost $400 for electronics and $900 for a new battery!!! I'm like WTF? it's only 2 years old and I paid $2000 and this is all I get for support? Any ideas what is wrong? By the way, I have never heard my fans kick on.
OK so I solved the problem. There is a firmware update I didn't know about and Goal Zero never mentioned it either when I called them. Here's how to do it. th-cam.com/video/zbbm0dXbdY4/w-d-xo.html

2 day old Yeti 1400 WiFi unit charging with Goal Zero panels. Fine for first day. Today, does not take a charge. Does not reset via any of the methods described by Goal Zero. Input light flashes blue, 0 W. I plug the same input into my 5 year-old Yeti 400 W and it charges fine. Yet 1400 WILL take a wall input of 60W, however worthless that is. Wifi no longer connects to my phone. Attempted to disable unit and re-add to the app with no avail (power cycled phone, re-installed app, 'forgot' WiFi network of Yeti). This is an infuriating amount of troubleshooting for a brand new unit. I have been patient with Goal Zero gear in the past (I own a lot of their gear), but at this price point, this is going to be a return. I think I have finally lost my faith in this company.
Hmm, that sounds bad. Goal Zero support chat is very good so give that a try. Super frustrating. The Yeti isn’t full is it? If it’s full, it won’t charge via solar. That confused me recently!
@@todd.parker Thank you for the feedback Todd. I have great experience through their email, until recently, so I will check out the chat. Yeah, battery was ~85% on my 1400 and would not charge yet I could plug the barrel in to my 400 and it would take a charge. Frustrating but I will give the chat a go!
@@ipattis I tried the two-button reset (makes a hideous noise while doing) for 10s, 30s, and 60s. None worked. Screen flashed and unit makes noise, but nothing. Held the button below the WiFi button inside the top cover for 15-20 s on more than one occasion. Somewhere in there, the unit seemed to reset (had to set the WiFi connection up again which is arduous). I have a poor cable connection somewhere in my solar panel setup. After multiple configurations I notice my 1400 will take a charge, but not from every barrel connector. Super frustrating these are not designed to last outdoors... WTH? My 400 WILL accept them all, which is also frustrating that the older/budget unit takes a charge better. I hope you have better luck than I did.
My 500X died after 2 months. I contacted Goal Zero and they gave me the run around. They aren’t what they used to be. They have gone downhill on their quality. They would not honor their warranty. Total Junk!!

Thanks, Todd, my Yeti is a 400. The Output was stuck on 999. So different buttons and I pushed all 4 and held with the unit plugged in. Came back in few seconds reset and working fine.
Great to hear! Should be in the manual
After the tester I’m getting a sting 460w input and fans are humming
Cheers!
Great to hear this helped!
this did not work for me now what's flashing is the USB button and also the Wi-Fi with the Bluetooth button is flashing. Input & output 0 Watts. Zero battery. Yeti 3000X Goal Zero. I paired it with my bluetooth on my phone I don't know why I did that. Lol Help me reboot this please so it will start charging again. Thank you
Thank you for the info! Our Yeti 1500 won't take a charge. We are going to try this reset before contacting Goal Zero.
Did you get this solved? Mine isn't charging.
My husband doesn’t know anything abt rebuilding one, but I am guessing there must be a way, I can’t be the only one, Thank You, 71 yr old grandma Dino

Unfortunately they never offered replacement batteries and it would be very difficult to do safely. You might want to reach out to support, they might be willing to swap the unit with a refurb for a lower cost than buying a new one. You need to discharge and recharge these every few months to keep the batteries healthy
And how do you do this withthe yeti 150 the blue light keeps flashing and not charging is there a way to have it reset hardreset or sonething
You can always take the screws off and disconnect the battery to force a reset
@@todd.parker tried as soon as i plug it in the blue light is blinking
What was the cord that you plugged in after you rebooted it to get you to reset? Mine didn’t even come with that cord.
Thank you this helped install firmware in a new unit lipo4 2024
Quick mention since don't think they were out at time of OG post, I rebooted (same calibration issue above) BUT along with my FAST charger attached to the system and Fast charger NO longer works with the GZ, may have shorted it out? All else function although still wont read beyond 95%, anyhow just in case, please be aware.
Does the original 65w charger still work? Maybe there is a fuse you blew.
Thank you
Which model?
Thank you Todd! My Goal Zero Yeti 1400 Gen 1 started doing strange things. It stopped showing Output voltage when I was charging stuff, it would still still them but now show any output. Also when I charge the yeti unit it would show massive output and well as slightly higher input even tho I was charging nothing and it was still charging the unit at normal speed for the input. I was googling how to yank the fuse to reset it, this much quicker. Not sure why this isn't in the manual, which was the first placed I looked.
Hmm, that sounds odd. I'd try calling or chatting with GZ support. They are really good.

No worries, your reset solution worked.

Hi Todd, I think I’ve pooched my goal zero. Screen is blank, reset won’t work, I’ve unplugged the internal black and red…. Nothing. Any suggestions? If not, have you ever taken one part to harvest the batteries?
Oh, that’s a bummer. Have you contacted Goal Zero support? They swapped mine out of warranty for free
@@todd.parker hmmm… I guess no harm in asking. Mind you I’m in Canada
@@howard922 I’d give them a call, they have good support
@@todd.parker I will try and find their customer services in Europe (I’m in Portugal) thank you for your help 👍
Hi if is not charging you check charging circuit is always faulty
Had my 1500x for 4 days now and it just went dark. No change when push any of the buttons mentioned.
I made a video on how to do a deeper reset - look for “bricked my yeti”
Hey can you help me try and reset just the 12v plug? It turns red when I turn it on. Goal Zero said to go to a third party for help lol
FOR X-LINE: Soft reset Steps: Reset button for 5-6 seconds until beeps and screen flashes
Factory/hard reset Steps: UNITS and INFO for 10-15 seconds until beeps and wifi flashes
Battery reset Steps: INFO and RESET button for 5-6 seconds, unit goes black and unresponsive for a minute or two, it will come back on
How do you shut off the Yeti 1400?
There’s no power switch. Luckily it doesn’t use much power if the ports are off
So I just did this to my 400 Lithium, the screen slowly faded away. And now it's just black. I did that about 10 minutes ago. Not sure if my battery just got toasted or if takes for ever to reset
Try plugging it in?
Just plug it on the charger
Thanks Todd. I have the Core so I would guess it’s the same
Pretty much identical
Mine has gone dead as of last night. It was roughly 95% last night when I last saw it, this morning the screen was dark and nothing I have done will revive it. Tried the restart shown here and nothing. The only power port that lights up when connected to AC is the MPPT module. The built in PWM does not light up when connected. Any ideas?
I’d chat with GZ, they have good support
Hi, exactly the same thing happened to mine. It was fully charged, and plugged in to AC through the MPPT. MPPT still shows green charging light, but unit is completely dead otherwise. Were you able to get this fixed somehow on your unit?
Hi mine too , it s not booting up , can you help me ?
th-cam.com/video/ICrQE4cG1Yw/w-d-xo.html
Mine went from 35% to totally unresponsive except for the Link attachment when my vehicle is charging it. Wall charger does nothing. Reset attempts do nothing.
You will then need to turn it over remove the screws on the back cover, takeoff the back cover. Disconnect the small connector you’ll see on the side there are like three or four wires on the connector. Then disconnect the two screws that hold on the negative cable, they are pretty big. Then wait a few minutes, then reconnect the negative terminal again, then plug in the small wire connectors again and everything should be good to go. I got that in Goal Zero.
How to reset Duracell Powerblock 500?

I’ll unplug it again and repeat and same results. Sometimes the screen and blue light will blink twice then nothing. Am I making sense? Any help pls?
Sounds like you might have a defective unit. Sorry.
Battery reset Steps: INFO and RESET button for 5-6 seconds, unit goes black and unresponsive for a minute or two, it will come back on
Hey Todd, Great videos!
@@todd.parker Thanks for all the info, appreciate it!

That definitely sounds defective, glad they are giving you a new unit
@@todd.parker it's very strange. I got it plugged in now at night with 2xAC and it went from 55 to 77 percent full. The entire time it said 0 input.

Very strange. Did you try hooking it up to the charger? I’ve had mine not want to turn back on but plugging in helped.
Maybe the backlight is failing?
No, none of the ports work either. I ended up taking the back off and undoing the connector to the control and undoing the positive and negative terminals waiting a minute or so putting them all back together now it works great. But shouldn’t have to do that
Tim's Videos glad you figured it it, that’s bad
I have a brand new 6000x that won't charge from solar. Three days and no response from support. These things seem like the firmware programmers and electrical engineers have a lot of bugs to work out and their QA is junk. I also have a duracell unit. That thing is no better. It uses a solar controller from a water pump.
For the price of the 6000, you expect it to work flawlessly. Have you tried a hard reset?
So that goal zero flash light cannot be charged by the yeti ? Sounds a bit odd.
No, I think my Yeti just had a freak out. Charges it now.
This totally worked! Thanks❗️
Does this model automatically start back up when it has been fully drained then charged (via solar) again?
If it completely shuts off, you may need to press the button to turn on the inverter, dc, or usb sections but I’m not 100% sure
I bought mine and the output wattage per hour reads zero. Will be contacting yeti about that.
That's not good. So when you have the DC or AC sections on (green light) and attach a load, it says 0 watts? Also, did you check to see if it's watt hours (cumulative) or watts (current)
My Yeti 3000 just went into this mode since last night for the first time. I am going to try your method. BTW do you know what is the cause?
I think it sometimes just crashes the software maybe?

Somewhere in there, the unit seemed to reset (had to set the WiFi connection up again which is arduous).
I have a poor cable connection somewhere in my solar panel setup. After multiple configurations I notice my 1400 will take a charge, but not from every barrel connector.
