Dude we were going to run this a few weeks ago but I heard Crystal River was 4’ or higher so we didn’t. Awesome video! Love the drone footage

@@Colorado4x4 I bet the water was way higher a few weeks ago! Was still pretty high when we went and you never really know how deep it is until you’re already in. Glad you liked the video though! Let me know if you ever want to do some trails

We just ran Lead King instead. Was really hoping to run Devils Punchbowl again but we didn’t want to risk driving up there and water being 5’ deep 😂 and then running into another group that was coming up as we were going down. That would be very uncool. Will do! We’re in Castle Rock. Where you stay at?

@@Colorado4x4 lead king is super fun anyways. But tell me about it, those trails were packed when we went and passing people is just a nightmare on so many sections. Sometimes I use my drone to scout ahead. And I’m in the springs. Castle rock is nice. Glad you guys don’t have to live in Denver!

Great video. But that’s actually Hagerman Peak on the right and Snowmass Mountain on the left, and not quite Capitol.

With 50 closed and Kebler the only pass open, traffic in Crested is nuts. Commuter traffic just opened up, but no trailers period yet. Taylor traffic is a bit higher with most people not wanting to make the big loop south or north to get around 50. Most are just stopping in Taylors or Tomichi. We did Kebler last week over to Ouray and most of the trails were pretty dead. Engineer, Corkscrew, Black Bear had very little people. The SXS rental people in Ouray said traffic was down quite a bit. We hiked up both Handies and Highland Mary and there were like 0 people in the lots. I think 50 is opening up a bit more in the coming weeks. Great video and love the location!.

@@flubby1982 when any of those roads close down or have issues it creates such a cluster cause there are very few decent alternate routes. That bridge over the blue mesa being closed has probably had an effect on the people trying to go to telluride. I prefer less people though so it’s good for me!

I am sure Orrin can get you more specifics if I am wrong, but Paradise Basin (CO 317.1) is at the Yule Trail head just north of Crested Butte. It forks north up to Devil's Punchbowl on Crystal River Road (CO 314.1) and then makes a loop on Lead King Basin Road before coming back down into Crested Butte via the Kebler Pass Road. trails.colorado.gov/map/@39.044970,-107.072967,12.00z/details#activity=ohv_gt_50
