    I agree with your statement. Put whatever music you want or no music at all. You can't please everyone, especially the haters. You just keep being you and express yourself as such. Whomever doesn't get it, too bad! You do phenomenal work that many of us envy. Thank you so much for doing so!

    On the fenders, front and rear, could come out and make a 90 down then cap off. Would make for a good place to hold the lights and license plate as well as double as a step

    Nice, trailer so far you might want to add some holes in the stakes over the fenders for drainage for when it rains

    That square tube on top is fine. You can make extensions that will set in the middle.

    As a Fellow Welder, is it worth building your own Dump Trailer? What did it cost in materials?

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing you really save on is labor cost, it just as expensive if not more to build it from scratch, for the size of this one anyways

  • @ianwallett7438

    Nice trailer. 👍 when I left school, I’m 50 now... I worked for an arable farmer and in the winter we would make trailers for him to use behind his pickup around the farm. He had me cut all the box section with a hacksaw even though he had a mechanical hacksaw “nodding donkey” whatever you call them. He said it was so I could keep warm!!!! He still drives around with those trailers today. 👍

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! Except for the part of cutting the tube by hand haha

  • @raymondolkosky658
    @raymondolkosky658 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    For the side extension. How about an I beam that slides down each hole and wood cut to size to fit into each I beam channel across the steel walls

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would probably work well

    Jumping into this build now, but how did u make out material cost?? How much did u save building then buying one???

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing you probably save on is labor cost. Hard to compete with companies who get better deals on all the material, unless it’s a unique build that no big name manufacturer produces.

    Aww yes using the wife for a counter balance when you’re building stuff. That’s awesome. I’m not saying your wife is fat tho. Omg don’t suggest that!!!! My wife is a little lady about 120 pounds but sometimes you need that little something extra. I’ve enjoyed everyone of your videos thank you for showing how a guy just starts a project and builds stuff. Take care.

    Hey J,
    I wanted to know roughly how much this trailer build cost for the steel? I know our prices here in the upper north east are different than where your at but it will be helpful.
    Stay safe!
    Thanks for the videos!

      From my local supplier I spent about 2700 ish on steel

    When do we get to see the he351ve controller build? lol Glad to see you're back! Definitely don't mind the music. It breaks up the awkward silence and in my case I feel it makes my videos easier to watch. Do what you prefer though. You're channel's bigger than mine so you must be doing something right!

    I do have to ask why so much torch cutting when you have a plasma cutter ?? Like I said before just bought my first hypertherm powermax 45xp love it used it few times just I dont have a shop set up where I can have more then one thing running on 220volt power so I let the compressor run up switch plugs do my cuts plug back in compressor do cuts and so forth .... just dont know why u and so many others always gas cut over plasma cut

    • @j_moffitt
      @j_moffitt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it’s thick enough material, torch is sometimes easier because you don’t have to drag out the power and air lines plus your ground and plasma torch cables, but on thin material I grab the plasma everytime because you don’t have as much cleanup or warpage. For a long time all I ever had was a torch so i just grab whatever is handy

    Never ever lay a lit torch down and leave unattended.
