Honestly I used to think this was an original soundtrack for the game.
This got me into 2SFH and listening them to this day.

@@stryker9816 "Outside" is overrated. Graphics are fine but the gameplay and plot is rubbish. Plus there's SO many micro-transactions in-game. Basically EVERYTHING. It's so pay-to-win...laaaame! ;)

Everyone has it's own opinion.
Some say The Last of Us is the best ever created, but in the Amazon Popular Vote for the Best Game of Generation/Decade... Skyrim just smashed The Last of Us, Grand Theft Auto V, Uncharted 2 and Red Dead Redemption like tiny insects.
Half-Life 2 is great, don't get me wrong, as is Skyrim, The Last of Us, and GTA 5, but I still feel ME2 is the best due to its insane amount of content, different story lines, and heartfelt moments.

@@tallperson117 You need to give Baldur's Gate 2 a big try. ME2 is the same studio and is a spiritual successor, they both put 99% of video-games, movies, novels, all to shame because of the overwhelming amount of really high quality story content they have.

Still gives me the chills, after countless playthroughs its still just as effective as the first time I saw it back then. LOVE it!
This is one of the very few games that I could play over and over and get everytime exited!
When you got a great story, a rich world, amazing characters.......and a lot and a lot more.......you got something like this masterpiece. Everyone should try this game and all the trilogy :)

One of the greatest game series of the past 2 decadeds. The music is so epic, its still used till date across movies and tv shows.
Over ten years and no one has ever attempted a game this ambitious. Mass Effect 2 is one of the greatest of all time.

2.Upgrade the Normandy

The third thing is the most important. If you romance Tali once, you wiill never ever romance someone else.

The Triology is a Masterpiece
I cant agree between 2 and 1. There are some irreplaceable moments in 1. Like becoming a spectre, the first one of your species. The eerie feel of coming across the thorian for the first time. Learning all about the different aliens for the first time, especially Liaras unique species with them living so long, and only being one gender. Then the more important ones such as the eerie and incredible moment of talking to Sovereign for the first time, finding out the ship itself is the reaper and that its alive. Learning the truth of the protheans, that it wasn't their technology our galaxy is built upon. The fact that the extinction is built upon a cycle that keeps occurring and nobody knows how to stop it. The battle of the citadel. And don't forget ilos with finding out that alot of protheans bunkers were powered down to save specific ones. The countless deaths of innocence. But then on number 2 you have amazing characters. All of them playable with intriguing backstories. The unforgettable dlc with David and the rogue AI. And for me, the best moment was the ending. The music, the fact that nobody has been to the collector homeworld and survived, and that crazy dormant human reaper at the end. It's hard to decide for me so I gave up trying. 😅

I'm probably in the minority here... but I think making every single game 'open world' in recent years has diminished their epicness and storytelling. What you get is an endless world with very little memorable things to do, you basically waste most of your time to get from A to B. Here's a game that didn't need that and was absolutely incredible.
I agree. Best example of this is Mass Effect 1/2/3 compared to Andromeda. Although Andromeda had a load of other problems one of the things is that it was an empty open world
I mean, I agree with you. But Mass Effect 1 was very open world-ish and it was still awesome. Imo the best on the trilogy.

That’s only when it’s done poorly, when done right making a game open world is one of the best things a developer can do

Mass effect 2 is the odd one out in the series, and yet it stands as my favourite in the entire trilogy. It is packed with personality, and the way it fleshes out the squad members with loyalty missions is amazing. I love this game so much that I immediately noticed the shift in tone with mass effect 3. That felt more like a direct continuation to ME 1 rather than the sequel.
There is something special about ME2. And that is the focus on these fascinating characters and their stories. I loved this effing game so much for it, and still do.

Oh now that I re read what he said I see what he meant now, misinterpreted the first time I read it.
Such a great game. So little wasted space. There's very little filler dialogue in this game (series). Every conversation either builds character development or is plot driven. Great writing.

@@novia9011 It's not that the game was bad, it's that it was mediocre compared to what we have come to expect from Mass Effect. I played the original trilogy after playing Andromeda and the differences in the quality of the voice acting, the dialogue, the writing, the story, the pacing, are substantial. As a game, Andromeda is no doubt fun. But Mass Effect isn't about the gunplay or the fighting, it's about the story. As a shooter, ME2 is frankly quite mediocre but the story. The story is so immersive, it sucks me in every time. And that's what Mass Effect is about. Andromeda didn't have that. It was forgettable, the story uninspired and filled with cliches and MacGuffins. Even where the original trilogy had these, it handled them in surprisingly creative and well thought ways.
