@purpledhaze7693 I've not seen what it's in but I don't think it's cringe. I got over that shit years ago, "Demon Sword System" sounds cool as hell, of potentially a bit unfitting. What does it refer to?
@@tidalgrunt "Created as part of a Cyber Newtype project under Kanesada Tsurugi, it is based on the EEG waves of Ittou Tsurugi, who showed indications of being a Newtype. The system's purpose was to awake the latent Newtype capabilities in a person via the use of the EEG waves. Additionally, the EEG waves can be used to create a dust-like, ultra-vibrating material that reproduces the secrets of Ittou's Iado attack techniques. Though, the cockpit is still a conventional one." -Gundam wiki Kinda like the EXAM system Oh and its actually the demon blade system i got that wrong mb
Starship Troopers was huge in Japan when it released over there and was a major influence for Gundam. The 1950s definitely happened in the UC timeline because many 20th century events are mentioned throughout the series. The UC timeline takes place in an ambiguous future where we do not know exactly when the Universal Century begins, but that works in its favor because we can always say "its in the future" instead of saying "Well the Universal Century began in 2000 so its basically an alternate history-". The UC timeline can always be expanded on via modern events this way.
They've also done an admiral job of updating the design and aesthetic of the older UC era through new material and official redesigns and variants and rereleases as IRL technology has advanced and the newer entries have visually changed with new directors and animation techniques, without actually really changing the overall aesthetic of the UC.
Yeah I just commented on the same thing. Why do people hate on the ol’ igloo? My accounts namesake is based off of my favorite MS from Igloo. (and maybe the Gundam franchise as a whole)
Oh, oh, another Zudah fan! The zudah is great, I got a HG sitting on top of my desk in front of me as I speak. But yeah, Igloo was a wonderful little window into more of Zeon's wonder weapons.
Many people says in Internet Tomino was inspired by the original Starship Troopers novel, if this is true the cameo of the novel maybe is a reference to that
I'll definitely check it out, just to see how silly it is compared to ZZ (even though I like ZZ). Curious who the writer or artist are because the fact that there are characters named Killer and Baby is ridiculous, of course Tomino naming in Gundam or his other non-gundam series can be clever or silly sometimes, like G-reco having a character named Mask, or Aura Battler Dunbine (a non-gundam Tomino work) has a character name Shot Weapon 😂.
So the story outline was done by Ryouji Kansai. He worked as a design assistant on Gundam Unicorn and a mechanical coordinator on Gwitch. He also wrote Gundam Across the Sky and Rising Sun's manga. While the artwork and more intricate work was done by Tatsuma Eijiri. He's probably where the more comedic elements come from since he worked on One Piece as an assistant.
Kill and Baby are outlandish, but a woman piloting a mech called the Vigna Gihna against a giant robot tentacle monster is normal. Got it. Yes, this is also a UC story. F91 to be exact. Also while we are at it, Crossbone had Newtype monkeys in modfied Zaku 2s obliterating UC130 era suits
Well I see they still don't explain how the 3 MS got heavily modified so it still doesn't affect my head cannon at least which at least the two GM we saw in episode 11 of 08th MS team (who on their shield said 03) getting destroyed by the Apsaras III where taken back to base and rebuilt with whatever the federation could find at the time and sent back into battle to help finish the war and that's how we got this team of heavy modified ground Gundam and GMs but my head cannon was originally going by the fact there was only 20 ground Gundam's but with engage saying there was 21 now (three man teams of 8 equal 21 not 20) , that would mean whatever team that ground Gundam came from was the only remaining survivor of that said team that we're getting their butts handed to them by the Apsaras III
Honestly apart from some of the good art and the mobile suit designs I don't think I would want to read this it is way too goofy. I'd rather watch build fighters the first season then read something like this and that's despite the fact that our main heroine is basically the female version of Ryusei from Super Robot Wars and the main dude from Knights and Magic except what if a WHOLE lot of random shit happens. At least we finally have a companion piece for the PB set of the customized gms and the customized ground gundam so there's that at least.
I hate the Thunderbolt and now Red Giant trend of: Take an MS and slam 6 extra weapons and 3 shields on it and pretend it would function and looks cool. It is illogical in canon and perhaps worse lazy design IRL. Especially when you look at the odd but often well thought ideas in the original MSV book. There are so many units that almost never get screen time but were canonically built and deployed. I think a great Gundam series would be an "operation paper clip" type event about Zeon engineers being abducted and bribed by some precursor to the Titians. Forced to design new suits like the Hi-Zack and cyber new types and test them against their former allies. All while witnessing extrajudicial forced labor and executions.
Bro showing a scene from MS Igloo right when he said “less good” hit me hard.
We're Federation Hooligans and Katana are also silly
Three words:
Demon sword system
Seriously who thought that would be a good name, its so cringey
Katana was PEAK
yes
and there are far sillier mangas like gundam otaku girl and msg acguy 2250 miles across n. america. which ties into both hooligan and katana

Military comedy where two warring sides come together against a common foe and shenannigans ensue...Shit, this is basically Red vs Blue in UC.
Someone at the federation really want that piece of ace awesomeness and slapping that on a durable yet basic Ground GM and Gundam
Thanks for covering my recommendation my G, this manga really cures my depression
Love it. Excellent overview. and told me what I wanted to know. Perfect pacing for me. Keep up the good work!
Man #### you I recognised the "less good" clip, IGLOO is great. The animation wasn't amazing but it was a wonderful set of short stories.
Yeah I just commented on the same thing. Why do people hate on the ol’ igloo? My accounts namesake is based off of my favorite MS from Igloo. (and maybe the Gundam franchise as a whole)

2:51 she sounds like Noa Izumi from patlabor

The Strangest gundam manga for me is Despair Memory Gundam Sequel.
The Newtype have evolved they have power like regeneration of lose body part.
Love these man you're my favorite gundam youtuber keep it up
That Custom Gundam Ground Type is so fucking sexy I love it
But for real, it looks pretty cool I like what they’re doing here

@NopeMechs Cool. That's a unique team up. Thanks for the info 👍.
check it out, it's entertaining and silly. check up federation hooligans and msg acguy 2250 miles across n. America.
Guy is a violent drunk, and THAT earns him a nickname like a "blazing tiger"?
yeah apparently tiger is a word for someone who gets trunk off of sake

So, if you take Thunderbolt and run it through your typical isekai grinder.
Nice review!

"Space Racist" "Spacist"
This is like ZZ gundam and 08th MS team had a child and we get this
Interesting
still tame compared to ZZ Gundam with its chicken and space cavemen.
Guess witch manga its getting an adaptation in anime its not crossbone again
not blue destiny or lost war chronical.
if only they were cyborg ninjas...
I don’t want the writers thinking but as long it entertaining is enough at least 👍
having a side three'er as a member is interesting, honestly out of the silly bits it doesnt really seem too canon breaking for a gundam side story

Are you sure it's not a nickname? Like "Hey, baby!" or "Hiya Darlings" something like that.
Oh, its a blue giant counter?
I have that Gundam set.

It's silly, but I've read a few that were sillier. It's still fun to read though.
his name is.......baby?.............im baby...?
Please do a video essay on ssss gridman and ssss dynazenon from studio trigger 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤑💯♨️👘👹🇯🇵⛩️😖
gundam in 2024 really won't depict Zeon in any kind of negative light huh...
Well in my opinion it doesn’t really matter how the new show portrays them. If you just watch the original material you’ll know they done wrong.
