Tivim Comunidade signs agreement with World Peace University despite opposition

Tivim Comunidadehas signed an agreement with Global Peace University to part with 2 lakh square metres of land despite firm opposition. The social activists had flayed the Investment Promotion Board (IPB) for deciding to grant in-principle approval to World Peace University at a land belonging to Comunidade of Tivim. They said the government should improve the existing Goa University instead of bartering away land to such institutions which grab land in the name of education.
