- A pub stopover near Ironbridge at the Half Moon Inn Jackfield sees an end to a fantastic week away, £15 a night refunded if you eat or drink in the pub! We have a quick walk around Ironbridge and chat all things TH-cam before heading home early the next morning.
Hi! We're Rick, Heather & our dog Poppy and we travel in Pearl our Elddis CV20 campervan.
We film the places we visit as our own diary, these videos are meant as a little memento for us but we're happy to share them with you if you want to watch.
We're just an ordinary couple in our 50's filming our adventures with basic equipment so don't expect loads of flash camera action and super editing with great music.
We also film videos of work we have done on our van as well as van reviews for our reference of the next van we might buy. Occasionally there are hints & tips videos too. We do basic site and area reviews including if they’re dog friendly but they’re a guide only based on our opinions which may or may not help you make an informed decision on if you’d like the place.
We do a mix of off grid camping, pub stopovers plus real campsites too, hopefully something for everyone to enjoy!

Casey jones steamin and a rolling Casey Jones You Etc Etc. Weather made this week for you guys, we are retiring about 10 years early this year, We have umed and rd for a couple of years as to whether we have enough to live on a and then a couple of weeks ago Mrs K was given 90 days notice and that was the decider, she'll be finished mid December. Hope your enjoying the new van. Oh I remember that Saturday, I'd been venting our van on the drive all day and slept in it because it was cooler than the house. Cheers K.

Oh yes you are entertainment! Our local pub here in Somerset does free overnight stops The Crown at Catcott. It’s very handy for those who want to come to the nearby nature reserves, especially in autumn and winter for the starling murmurations. Cheddar Gorge, Wells etc.

Blimey, I used to watch Casey Jones. Brought back memories of Abbott and Costello as well. Can imagine in the day folks would come from miles away to look at that bridge.
I remember it as a kid the theme tune at least. It’s a grand bridge really considering it’s age.
Nice countryside in Shropshire, I’ve been to Ironbridge a couple of times but never felt “blown away” by the place, I like railways and disused railways and so my time there was spent finding relics of that railway which as well as carrying coal carried Passengers also, Ironbridge station was right next to the Ironbridge itself, the site is now a car park.

The weather is such a contrast! - you guys have been so lucky on your trip - we’ve have had a pretty rubbish year weather wise when we’ve been away.
Hopefully the new van might be a bit cooler in the summer eh!

Definitely had some excellent weather this year for most of the weeks, however there’s some wet coming up in the next few!
Us too, dreadful weather. I think next year we’re going to be more spontaneous and keep an eye on the forecast. Our friends do this and had some great weather
Well done both on a great video as ever we love ironbridge and visit fairly often as it’s about an hour from us there is lots to do there and the town is lovely (know that pork pie shop too lol) there are lots of museums which tell the story of that area which are well worth visiting and you can get a yearly passport so you can go when you like!

I think we had the most amazing weather that week and other than the odd day in the Derbyshire Dales tour earlier this year we’ve been really lucky with the weather this year, there’s a few wet vlogs to come and I’m sure we’ll get a damp winter to make up for it! Cheers for watching as always 😊
We’ve not been to iron bridge or seen the bridge. Except in vlogs. I like the idea of making a charge and giving you the credit note. Much fairer. Food looked good. 👍🚐
Yeah the pub idea was great. Ironbridge was pretty but hard work with the dog.
