Yessss! I got one from a guy who bought it in 2014 and never started using it. So I bought it 4 weeks ago - brandnew. 😂 I am happy battery is working fine. Thanks for this wonderful video. I am now thinking of gettin rid of all my Fuji-Gear. Love the 6D so much.

Actually I'm getting one tonight with a shuttercount of only 19697 clicks! It's going to be my first full frame camera as an upgrade for my 60D.

Point well made :) - Thanks for reminding me why I love my 6D, despite of its age and its shortcomings. I bought mine in 2019 when I wanted to replace my Canon APS-C camera (a 40D) with a full frame one, and the prices for 6D had decreased significantly as it was about to be discontinued at that time. And yeah, I love the colours it produces, the low light performance. To be honest, I don't care that it 'only' has 20 megapixels and we all know that it is not a machine gun when it comes to "frames per second", but the camera is so enjoyable and the results still top notch, even in 2024.

I bought a 6D second hand barely used, liked it so much I changed my other two cameras and bought a R6ii. While I love both I still reach for the 6D when things are not so fast paced. It’s a keeper

thank you for this video man. I just picked up a 6D for $325. 13k shutter count, 2 batteries and the camera is in mint condition. I’m “upgrading” from a 200d, I’ve loved that camera but I’ve been wanting to jump into full frame for so long. My first lens with my “new” 6D is no other than the 50mm 1.8 :)

Offers 2 slots and much better Auto Focus.

(sorry for the bad english, im just 14 and from germany) For a first Video this has an awesome quality. Maybe this is normal for videos produced by photographs, but it definetly got an perfekt, filmlike look. Now my question, should I eather buy a 6D, a 5D Mark ii or a Olympus OM-D E-M1. Im looking for good image quality and some good video aspects (not for vlogs, more like animal and hobby filmmaking and maybe TikTok with a view on the table like unboxing)and mostly a budget friendly price. If your not into that business, you don’t need to answer. Keep on with the videos, I’m definitely a subscriber.❤

Coming from Fuji APSC (older models XT-1 and XT-20) which I will keep as long as they work, I have to say since getting a 5D Classic and Canon 6D Mk1, their FF image quality is stellar - they produce exquisite photos using affordable Canon glass.

I've been a 6d user since around 2016. I shoot primarily nature, still life, landscape and portraiture/events with it. It is a balanced and reliable tool of expression. Learn its nuances and it will reward you with the expressiveness of film, balanced with the efficiency of digital. It's a gem. I also shoot a d800/800e which is sort of Nikon's 6d with more resolution. These cameras, but especially the 6d are artist's cameras, that can also do the work of daily grind commercial photography.
I use my 6d mostly with old manual focus vintage glass, which i feel adds to the whole vibe. It adapts marvelously to old school m42 format lenses.
The 6d is just a great camera - sure it has flaws, but learning how to circumvent flaws with technique just makes you a better photographer in the end.
Maybe its not for everybody, but it will take great photos if you learn it's ways.

I bought mine simply because my 5DS R isn't great in low light, I do wish my 6D had a few more pixels on the sensor, but! what it does do is do everything exceptionaly well. Produces amazing images in low light and very, very rated as an astrocamera. Fantastic camera, a keeper.

Cool images. Recognise Brixton skate park, that's my endz. Can't go wrong with a 6D. I've just repaired a jammed top wheel on one of mine. Also have the mk2 but it's not as good at shooting pictures in low light. Was thinking of upgrading to an R8, but can't justify the cost. "Stick with a 6D, till you're Sixty!…" That's my new phrase!… 😎

well worth putting a 6D screen protector if you can still find them. Almost cuts all the gloss glare from the back plastic screen and makes working outside much nicer. Also plays nice with Magic lantern and you can have your screen send you back false colour or other options to judge exposure etc at a glance. Its often overlooked also that you can still operate this camera with your phone via the canon app and put it in awkward places.
Battery lasts for many days shooting - no idea how long - feels like i charge it once a month and use it daily.

Great video! And from one 25 year old "old scrooge" myself, signifies why I myself don't need shinier and better cameras. I bought an R6 and found myself selling it back to the retailer I bought it from with the justification that what I had was good enough for my type of photography. I don't shoot sports. Rarely shoot portraits. And realised that I had all these extra features for about $3400? Compared to $400 AUD for the 6D or $300 for my 70D. It's a massive difference in price, and one that I didn't think was worth it. Compared to a better lens.

I had an R8, and whilst it is an amazing camera, i felt i just didn’t use 90% of its capabilities. The AF was fantatic, tracking etc. Video specs i just never used, once. I think the camera was just too much for me , personally. I got some great shots but putting it on single point centre AF and recomposing, as i have always done got me thinking i just didn’t need it for my style of photography!
Maybe if you’re a working pro then it makes everything easier and the flow, faster. I did however, keep my 6D; the files still look great!

I don't know why I watched this video. I already own two 6D bodies and was briefly thinking about getting a third one today. Carrying two 6D's is perfectly fine. One wide and one standard or tele. But who could carry three? I have left the 6D behind, I think, three times already. First, there was an RP. Sold. Then another RP and R. Also sold. This year, I got a bunch of Olympus gear, which is very good and does so many more things than the 6D. But how come my last two lens purchases were EF lenses? The 6D seems to not only push its way into every assignment, but I check the CR2 files first after importing all the SD cards. The 6D works it way into my hands at almost every opportunity, even though I have very capable MILCs with great lenses. It must be a relationship thing. I just cannot let go! One glance through the OVF, and I am hooked again.
