    I think this guy and I were the only two people to buy that Tin Machine album. It was impossible to listen to - David wanted out of his contract. That album stack looks like it's all straight 80s. The White Album is a reissue. Those empty covers could be worth a few bucks too; people frame them. 15:26 The box is worth more than the contents. Happens. 19:24 Nope, not even plated. Silvertone posts. That Navy pin is a sweetheart piece. 22:01 ladies watch, probably gold-filled 22:18 WWII participation medal - you got one for being in the service. 22:37 stick pins, or hat pins if they're long enough. Originally for men's ties but we women swiped them later. The red one is gold-plated and rhinestone. The other might be real. 28:15 Maker's mark. Made to look like a Victorian one, but it's not. I'd say you found something good.

    I'm going to have to disagree with all the ones saying those pins were hat pins. They look more like the decorative lapel pins my grandmother had from the 1930s-1940s. Hat pins usually had to be long enough to stick through a woman's updo and the hat, so mostly 6 inches or longer. Hat pins also were not typically flat backed.

  • @baskervillebee6097
    @baskervillebee6097 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sometimes class rings were given as "going steady rings" and the girlfriends wrapped them with tape to make them fit.
    The lapel watch would be worn by a nurse or teacher.
    Please check on the hat pins because they are collectables.

    17:18 The Clash - 'London calling' double album in 1980 was very popular in that punk rock era, interestingly they traced their musical lineage directly to Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee. i'm into Jazz but quality musical genres imo was great back then.

    I know it's been two years but . . . I don't know what girls in high school do now but when I was in school, you'd wear your boyfriend's class ring when you and him were "going steady" (do they even do that anymore?) and would make it fit by adding yarn or tape. That's probably what you had there.

    The long pins are hat pins.The tape is on the ring probably because someone gave it to a girl and they would be going steady. The ring would be to big for the girls finger so we would put tape on it or dentist floss so it would fit. The Somali pin faith the chain is either a fraternity or a sorority pin.
