  • We continue to go through the vintage and antique abandoned storage unit in order to see what other cool storage unit finds we can uncover! There are so many cool items thus far, so I cannot wait to see what else has been hidden in this abandoned storage unit for over 20 years! Keep in mind that this stuff has been in this storage unit for 20 or more years, which means they probably paid over $20,000 for whatever is hidden!

    I LOVE you going through everything. As an older woman, I like to see the knicknaks, glass, china and such. The wooden thing is for those "placemats", but are supposed to hold bed linen in the olden days. The small antiques sign is adorable! Will you please put on your stuff on TH-cam, also?

    Those eggs are carved from rocks and are collectable. The figurine of the lady in the blue dress: 1835 is probably the date the fashion was popular.

    Yes makers mark. Vintage elf figurines are sought after by collectors. Occupied Japan is anything that was made when the US Govt occupied Japan. Those can be very collectible as they were only made when US was there for a few years. You guys hopefully look up comps on vintage items. The white wavey bowl is Fenton glass and that clear rim on it is called silver crest.

    I would definitely look up some of your items for sold comps on ebay. Some of the glass goes for decent money. The white bowl with clear edge is Fenton Silver Crest. You also have the blue trimmed bud vase also Fenton. Your bumpy one is called Hobnail. Also Fenton. Your red glass basket is probably Viking Glass. And the German Porcelain Doll figuring may be worth looking up as well. Andria by Sadic too. Anything marked occupied Japan is desirable as well. Good luck 👍

      @baileealligood7862 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      50's Glass is on it's way out, more is available then there are buyers anymore. Collectables are mostly sought out by the generation they are from or exposed to. Most all fade into obscurity as people get older. As people get older they are usually trying to condense their belongings and are not really buying more stuff that is not necessary. I cleared most of my glass inventory out. Like most books and clothes it isn't something to get excited about. Sure their are some valuable pieces. Not many anymore. I had to reduce what I had 70-80 percent just to move it from what you could get 10 years ago.

    23:25 is a Mosser Eyewinker Clear and French Opalescent flare top violet's vase. I can't remember if it is 1910s or 1920s .... but is over 100 years old so antique at this point. I am not sure if it glows in the dark or not because a very few of those French Opalescent ones did.
    If some of the needle work you see the XXXX design those are called Counted Cross Stitch or Cross Stitch.
    5:26 is milk glass, not common piece
    5:31 biscuit or dinner roll baskets
    5:50 Anniversary clock by Citizen from 1990s. Nice clock
    6:19 Goebel is the company that makes Hummel's, uncommon. goes for about $60 now BUT usually people are buying replacements and will pay up to $150 for them
    6:50 Gorham glass lamp covers, I THINK can't remember clearly but I THINK they went on silver candle sticks omg I hate this when I can't remember stuff or they could have been on sconces but I doubt it, Gorham didn't really do sconces I really think came as hurricane lamp covers for candles... see I am trying to jog my memory hahaha

    @22:26 you pulled out the "stick with the concrete"" that goes into the the brass covered bowl you pulled out in the same box. It's and old fashioned fireplace starter. Though that pot looks a little small for that wand/ might be not be for that exact wand. Some pots are cast iron and you would set them next to fire place. The wand would soak up the starter fluid( kerosene or whatever they would use back then)
