I'm so sorry for what your family and Peanut are going through. We have had animals for 50 yrs and experienced many losses. It never gets any easier. But we have learned it's ok to allow your animal to be relieved from the pain they are experiencing when there is no hope left. Holding them during their last breathe is the most loving act we can give them. Praying God will be with you when that time comes.

My daughter's dog got diagnosed with the same as Peanut. So they thought she would go soon,so they stopped feeding her dog food and now cook cook people food ground beef chicken and veggies and some fruit and it's been a year and she is doing ok. Hang in there ❤
Dani, OMG, had a lost for words, just hang in there and yes cook for her, we have always cooked chicken, beef and pork for our fur babies although it does not mean they will be diagnosed with something as horrible as cancer, and I know first hand how devastating it is to loose your best friend is, just love her and be there for her as much as possible.❤❤
A little over a year ago I lost 3 dogs older than 10 yrs, within a 6 month span. They were suddenly just going downhill in health. The following week there were multiple dog food recalls. Mine was on the list. I started getting my dog food at a feed store. And I cook meat broth and vegetables to supplement it.
TRUTH you actually can turn things around by changing the diet we feed our outs even after a bad diagnosis. Don't give up hun.Just switch her to a raw diet of ground meats with added herbs and vitamins. Don't ask the vet bc most are not holistic Drs,just like ppl Drs.
I am so feeling you Danni! The pain is so difficult when our fur babies aren’t well or we loose them. When my Maltipoo ,Natasha, died 11 years ago from eating chicken jerky treats at 5 years ago, I couldn’t go home for a month! I treated her like my baby, felt guilty for giving them to her. I was part of class action lawsuit! Nothing could make it right. Nine months later I finally called the woman I got her from to tell her. Told her didn’t want another dog. We spoke for an hour, never mentioned, but a day later she texted my had a litter of 3 females. She felt the white one should be mine. I opened my heart,as she was also born on my daughter’s birthday. Scarlet has the same beige on her ear as Natasha, with much of same personality. That was 11 years ago. I am keeping Peanut in my prayers🙏💝🐶

My 16 year dog died 2 nights ago. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer, 6 years ago. She had 3 strokes one night 2 years ago, but recovered well. She lived fully, confortably and very much pampered for these years. Don't focus on the the big C, keep doing what you have been doing and enjoying the great time together!❤❤❤

We've had 3 little gents live to be 16, and each one left a large open space of love for the next little guy. Little gent #4 is now 10 and brings us so much laughter and love. Don’t need to be sorry that you love your pets so much. They are family that you chose to spend your life with. I know exactly how you feel. When my big boy Pooh passed over the rainbow bridge I went to say goodbye as he had a massive heart attack at the vet overnight. When I was talking to him I told him how much I loved him, one of my tears fell on his leg and I thought he might come back to me. Stupid I know, but he broke my heart. My GSD is 8, now, and so is my rescue Husky.. I’m late to the game but for the past year I’ve been feeding them a large pinch of shredded carrots, and frozen green beans,with a raw egg over their dry food, will be adding frozen sweet potatoes next.. they are now getting a few of the green beans as treats.. in stead of their usual dog biscuits..they love them.. I’m afraid they are starting to show signs of arthritis, so new memory foam mattresses at Christmas.. my girls are such a huge part of life. Since I now live alone, in a very rural area,they are literally my support animals.. I’m Safe as long as they are with me.. at 70 yrs old, I have a heart full of the memories of pets from my past.. I hope that peanut is able to remain comfortable and you and he,both will remain in my thoughts and prayers ❤️❤️💔💔❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

As one fur mommy to another, I understand your heartache. When Nova got diagnosed with terminal kidney failure, and then three months later my sweet boy Zorro was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I lost both my babies and still cry. My heart breaks for you hun.
I have 2 dogs that are over 16 and I dread facing their deaths so I hug on them all the time so they know how much I love them every minute I can. Aww so sorry 💔💝🙏I lost my Beagle hound last June. He was running in the streets in the neighborhood because he was abandoned by someone but everyone who took him in ended up kicking him out because he would bite. We kept and loved him for 14 years. I'll miss him forever. Hang in there and keep loving on your baby he knows you love him.

Oh Danni, I am so very sorry to hear about Peanut's illness and decline. Enjoy every moment you still have with her. 12 years is a wonderful stretch for doggies. I have always had large breeds, and they just don't have those long lifespans. I am almost 80 now and down to one doggie. And 7 kitties. My eldest daughter will take them over in case they outlive me... No doubt, the 4 kittens I fostered and then adopted this past year will live long after my departure... Unless of course I live past 100 LOL!!! All the animals I have had throughout my life add up to a small zoo! From Hamsters to horses and exotics... all have left enduring memories and joy in my heart.

I'm so heartbroken for you! I dealt with that recently and will again within a year or so. I started sobbing when I saw your video. It's such a huge loss because they are so full of love and give so much happiness. There is not much worse than losing a pet. The joy they give is as deep as the sorrow after the loss.
I am so very sorry for what you are going thru with Peanut! My heart breaks for you! Currently I am dealing with the terminal diagnosis of my 12 year old Doberman, Emmy Lou. There is nothing that can be done. I spoil her rotten, give her lots of love and make sure she is in no pain. There are good days and bad days. We just try to enjoy every moment we have with her. We never had kids so our dogs are our kids. It’s rough but we do the best we can. Peanut is in the place she needs to be, with you! Just love her and be with her when the time comes. They know. I know so many others have commented about sweet Peanut. I know your pain. I've experienced that before myself. I had a cat years ago that had a similar situation and she was so strong and so elegant in her demise. I gave her so much love and support and then one day I couldn't find her. I knew she had found somewhere to die. I finally found her and she had passed and I wrapped her up in a satin pillowcase and buried her in my backyard. I talk to her every day. She broke my heart, but she also gave me so much strength because I thought about her love for me. She was amazing. It's hard to lose our babies. But. You're doing all the right things. I’m so sorry! It’s weird because a lot of dogs have been coming down with cancer within the past 15 years. I recall in 2013 a specific dog food brand was being recalled , made in China, because it had cancer causing chemicals in it. Since it was made for dog food China didn’t bother disclosing certain chemicals used in making the dog food. Later, it was discovered and there was a dog food recall order in USA. The same goes for foods made for humans. We have to read the labels and buy organic or grow your own vegetables because so many ppl are getting cancer as well. More young ppl, who never had been getting cancer in such high numbers, during the 1970’s & 1980’s. Be careful what you eat, read the labels and if you cannot pronounce it, don’t eat it.

Danni so sorry, peanut is a little love bug.You can tell. I know you were just devastated. We almost lost our little chewy almost 17. He has some type of seizure because of his heart and kidney function not being great. He's on 2 medications, and the vet said he may hang in. For a few more months, probably no more than six months at the most, if not before. But we have to remember we gave them so much love and they gave us so much love and enjoyment. Every dog should be that lucky. Prayers and hugs🎉
Oh Dannie I’m so sorry 😢. We just had our 15 year old dog Jack put to sleep, he could barely walk anymore 😢. We had him cremated he was brought home in a beautiful wood box his paw prints in something white not sure what it is. He was loved SOOO MUCH. 🥺🥺😭😭😭. Hang in there I still catch my self calling for him. 😢😢
My yorkie will be 16 in march if she makes it that far, she is blind has a lots of other problems sill knows when its time to ÷at and still eats well most of the time . God bless and prayers, its hard 😢

Its always so heartwrenching when are babies grow old and become sick. We are never ready. Animals don't fear death. They know and remember spirit life. They don't want to make us sad. My 16 year dog died 2 nights ago. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer, 6 years ago. She had 3 strokes one night 2 years ago, but recovered well. She lived fully, confortably and very much pampered for these years. Don't focus on the the big C, keep doing what you have been doing and enjoying the great time together!❤❤❤

I'm very sorry for the news about Peanut, Danni. For pet lovers, this type of news and then loss, is so painful. We've had 3 little gents live to be 16, and each one left a large open space of love for the next little guy. Little gent #4 is now 10 and brings us so much laughter and love. It's just so darn hard to let them go .Prayers for you and the kids.

Don’t need to be sorry that you love your pets so much. They are family that you chose to spend your life with. I know exactly how you feel. When my big boy Pooh passed over the rainbow bridge I went to say goodbye as he had a massive heart attack at the vet overnight. When I was talking to him I told him how much I loved him, one of my tears fell on his leg and I thought he might come back to me. Stupid I know, but he broke my heart. My GSD is 8, now, and so is my rescue Husky.. I’m late to the game but for the past year I’ve been feeding them a large pinch of shredded carrots, and frozen green beans,with a raw egg over their dry food, will be adding frozen sweet potatoes next.. they are now getting a few of the green beans as treats.. in stead of their usual dog biscuits..they love them.. I’m afraid they are starting to show signs of arthritis, so new memory foam mattresses at Christmas.. my girls are such a huge part of life. Since I now live alone, in a very rural area,they are literally my support animals.. I’m Safe as long as they are with me.. at 70 yrs old, I have a heart full of the memories of pets from my past.. I hope that peanut is able to remain comfortable and you and he,both

Aww so sorry 💔💝🙏I lost my Beagle hound last June. He was running in the streets in the neighborhood because he was abandoned by someone but everyone who took him in ended up kicking him out because he would bite. We kept and loved him for 14 years. I'll miss him forever. Hang in there and keep loving on your baby he knows you love him.

Oh Danni, I am so very sorry to hear about Peanut's illness and decline. Enjoy every moment you still have with her. 12 years is a wonderful stretch for doggies. I have always had large breeds, and they just don't have those long lifespans. I am almost 80 now and down to one doggie. And 7 kitties. My eldest daughter will take them over in case they outlive me... No doubt, the 4 kittens I fostered and then adopted this past year will live long after my departure... Unless of course I live past 100 LOL!!! All the animals I have had throughout my life add up to a small zoo! From Hamsters to horses and exotics... all have left enduring memories and joy in my heart.

My heart is broken that he is still young and the vet has told us to watch him carefully for any changes. I cannot imagine life without him. I'm so heartbroken for you! I dealt with that recently and will again within a year or so. I started sobbing when I saw your video. It's such a huge loss because they are so full of love and give so much happiness. There is not much worse than losing a pet. The joy they give is as deep as the sorrow after the loss.
I am so very sorry for what you are going thru with Peanut! My heart breaks for you! Currently I am dealing with the terminal diagnosis of my 12 year old Doberman, Emmy Lou. There is nothing that can be done. I spoil her rotten, give her lots of love and make sure she is in no pain. There are good days and bad days. We just try to enjoy every moment we have with her. We never had kids so our dogs are our kids. It’s rough but we do the best we can. Peanut is in the place she needs to be, with you! Just love her and be with her when the time comes. They know. I know so many others have commented about sweet Peanut. I know your pain. I've experienced that before myself. I had a cat years ago that had a similar situation and she was so strong and so elegant in her demise. I gave her so much love and support and then one day I couldn't find her. I knew she had found somewhere to die. I finally found her and she had passed and I wrapped her up in a satin pillowcase and buried her in my backyard. I talk to her every day. She broke my heart, but she also gave me so much strength because I thought about her love for me. She was amazing. It's hard to lose our babies. But. You're doing all the right things. I’m so sorry! It’s weird because a lot of dogs have been coming down with cancer within the past 15 years. I recall in 2013 a specific dog food brand was being recalled , made in China, because it had cancer causing chemicals in it. Since it was made for dog food China didn’t bother disclosing certain chemicals used in making the dog food. Later, it was discovered and there was a dog food recall order in USA.
The same goes for foods made for humans. We have to read the labels and buy organic or grow your own vegetables because so many ppl are getting cancer as well. More young ppl, who never had been getting cancer in such high numbers, during the 1970’s & 1980’s. Be careful what you eat, read the labels and if you cannot pronounce it, don’t eat it.
SO SO sorry to hear about Peanut 😭 with you in prayer. You have been a blessing to her and have given her a great life and she's given you the same ❤❤

Danni so sorry, peanut is a little love bug.You can tell. I know you were just devastated. We almost lost our little chewy almost 17. He has some type of seizure because of his heart and kidney function not being great. He's on 2 medications, and the vet said he may hang in. For a few more months, probably no more than six months at the most, if not before. But we have to remember we gave them so much love and they gave us so much love and enjoyment. Every dog should be that lucky. Prayers and hugs🎉

Oh Dannie I’m so sorry 😢. We just had our 15 year old dog Jack put to sleep, he could barely walk anymore 😢. We had him cremated he was brought home in a beautiful wood box his paw prints in something white not sure what it is. He was loved SOOO MUCH. 🥺🥺😭😭😭. Hang in there I still catch my self calling for him. 😢😢
My yorkie will be 16 in march if she makes it that far, she is blind has a lots of other problems sill knows when its time to ÷at and still eats well most of the time . God bless and prayers, its hard 😢

Although I’d love to give you some advice for dealing with this sad time, all I can say is to give that little baby lots of love and hold dear, memories of all of the good times you spent together once she’s gone. ❤

Its always so heartwrenching when are babies grow old and become sick. We are never ready. Animals don't fear death. They know and remember spirit life. They don't want to make us sad. Two friends lost their dog to Cancer in last 30 days. One only 5 yrs old and other 8 yrs.. To grieve is price we pay for LOVE. ❤
