The immediate standing ovation was totally warranted, and I am pleased that the audience did recall these wonderful players back for a second bow. Then, I bet there was probably a very glee- ful reception for those who could stay for some extra congrats!
Sometimes I feel indifferent to Felix Mendelssohn, and then I happen upon a performance of his chamber music such as this which reminds me he was a genius! The work of a genius realised by eght more geniuses! This makes me glad to be alive! 😁
And wonderful playing, what an intensity. Sorry to say I miss all information about the members of this group, and place, and country, and so on. Better up, Isaac King!
