It really blesses me to see how Lester is with these kids. You can tell he really really cares about them. When I was younger in school there was this one teacher that made a big impact in my life and I see Lester being that teacher for a lot of children. Lester, thank you for this video..my dad passed away this past May and I was DEFINITELY a DADDY'S GIRL, I'm having a hard time getting through life now without my dad. He was also a bus driver and he LOVED everyone of his kids!! He KNEW them and there family, so every holiday he always did something special for the kids, but their birthday was ALWAYS made very special for them!! If their birthday was during a break, he would go to their home with their present and cakes!! He drove the bus for the special needs kiddos and they loved him so much!! Thanks for reminding me of that special time my dad gave to so many little kids!!
Ma and Pa did an ace job of bringing up their son. He was kind, empathetic, honest, true to himself, selfless, funny and a down right thoroughly decent chap. Yes you guessed, his name IS LESTER!!!!!!!!

As one old fart to a younger guy, never ever be ashamed of your love for those kids or the love they give back to you. So drop the 'man up' doo-doo. Never worry about the emotions that love brings, go with that flow. Love is the most powerful thing we, as humans, have to hold. Just think of it Lester, you, YOU were in that young child's thoughts as he crossed over and came to know your lost babies, Meg, Peeps, and all the others. Lester! I hope to God that you read this!!! I too was a School Bus Driver before I became disabled. I have many stories as well! One particular sad story that I will NEVER FORGET! I took a little girl home one afternoon she was only six year’s old. I was uncomfortable allowing her to walk up to her Apartments on her own. Luckily I had an Attendant! So she remained on the bus with our other kid’s and I walked the Child up to her Apartment. When we got to the door she just walked right in! And in doing so she left the door open. The only piece of furniture was a very old dining room table with a couple of chairs. I know that she wasn’t the only Child that lived there! It broke my heart in two! That School year I was able to gift her family with a few things with the help of my Attendant. I love your big heart! Those that give love! Get love! That’s why you’re so blessed my friend!

I love you Lester for who you are and by no means a lowly bus driver, you are a Saint. School bus drivers are Saints! I worked for a school district for 32 years as a librarian and know how much you mean to all the students. We all did, I had high school kids with horrible hardships. Students that were in special classes because their personalities did not mix with other students nor authority figures. One in particular would come to the library to sleep off his frustrations and get away from everyone. He would hang out with me. Staff always knew where to find him. So many things that we dealt with. Kids needing so much attention and understanding. I know! God Bless you and your beautiful family as well as those farm creatures that we all love so much too. I am confident I am not alone when I say a man that can show true emotions is very attractive. Otherwise they have as much compassion as a rock. You do not hide or run from your emotions, you 'keep it real'. Think about it, your students are obviously drawn to you. Children can be very intuitive - they can usually spot phony people. There's nothing phony about Lester. You often tell on yourself. It is very endearing. The loss of Angel had to be tough on everyone. It was obvious he enjoyed your attention and shoulder ride. Angel is now truly an angel.

Just lost my brother on January 20th and we were supposed to have his funeral yesterday and they postponed on us as we were on the way there because of the awful weather here in Texas that caused the mass pileup in Fort Worth yesterday morning. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. All we can do is hang in there the best we can and uplift one another as much as possible. May your brother rest in eternal peace in the presence of our Creator. I will be praying for you and your family tonight before I go to bed 🙏

It was a battle he fought for nearly a decade - he had cancer for more years of his life than he didn’t - and it really started to take hold in May 2020. He got a new tumour in his leg and it caused him so much pain, which was really difficult to watch. It’s been a month and a half, and I was doing okay, but this week, I couldn’t get Ruairí off my mind. I’m sorry for your loss 😞

Lester... You remind me of my very first schoolteacher from 7 - 10 years old. She was so great. Learnt me a lot. I named my grandparents wood boat after her when we moved and I had to change school, her name was Laura. I doubt she is still alive today since she was about 60 years old at the time in the late 70's. BUT I'll always remember my teacher Laura that taught me so much in a way that made me remember it still to this day. A good foundation to life. 💜 //C~🇸🇪

My daughter is a teacher so I understand perfectly what you are saying. Most folks don’t understand what you go through on a daily basis, sometimes it makes you so mad you just want to ring someone’s neck, sometimes you would love to scream from the rooftops, sometimes you wish you could cry buckets, but most days you are so full of love for these kids, your heart hurts. Thank goodness these kids have someone like you who truly cares, you may be the only one who does. ❤️

I love this. My wonderful Daddy in law was a bus driver and a grounds keeper for the private school my husband went to! He just recently retired and the kids had an official day for him. He’s a die hard Dodgers fan and it was a dodger themed day. Ever single kids and faculty member wore dodger blue! You not only touch these kids but our lives as viewers too! Lester! I hope to God that you read this!!! I too was a School Bus Driver before I became disabled. I have many stories as well! One particular sad story that I will NEVER FORGET! I took a little girl home one afternoon she was only six year’s old. I was uncomfortable allowing her to walk up to her Apartments on her own. Luckily I had an Attendant! So she remained on the bus with our other kid’s and I walked the Child up to her Apartment. When we got to the door she just walked right in! And in doing so she left the door open. The only piece of furniture was a very old dining room table with a couple of chairs. I know that she wasn’t the only Child that lived there! It broke my heart in two! That School year I was able to gift her family with a few things with the help of my Attendant. I love your big heart! Those that give love! Get love! That’s why you’re so blessed my friend!

I love you Lester for who you are and by no means a lowly bus driver, you are a Saint. School bus drivers are Saints! I worked for a school district for 32 years as a librarian and know how much you mean to all the students. We all did, I had high school kids with horrible hardships. Students that were in special classes because their personalities did not mix with other students nor authority figures. One in particular would come to the library to sleep off his frustrations and get away from everyone. He would hang out with me. Staff always knew where to find him. So many things that we dealt with. Kids needing so much attention and understanding. I know! God Bless you and your beautiful family as well as those farm creatures that we all love so much too. You are a Very SPECIAL man!

I am confident I am not alone when I say a man that can show true emotions is very attractive. Otherwise they have as much compassion as a rock. You do not hide or run from your emotions, you 'keep it real'. Think about it, your students are obviously drawn to you. Children can be very intuitive - they can usually spot phony people. There's nothing phony about Lester. You often tell on yourself. It is very endearing. The loss of Angel had to be tough on everyone. It was obvious he enjoyed your attention and shoulder ride. Angel is now truly an angel.

Just lost my brother on January 20th and we were supposed to have his funeral yesterday and they postponed on us as we were on the way there because of the awful weather here in Texas that caused the mass pileup in Fort Worth yesterday morning. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. All we can do is hang in there the best we can and uplift one another as much as possible. May your brother rest in eternal peace in the presence of our Creator. I will be praying for you and your family tonight before I go to bed 🙏

It was a battle he fought for nearly a decade - he had cancer for more years of his life than he didn’t - and it really started to take hold in May 2020. He got a new tumour in his leg and it caused him so much pain, which was really difficult to watch. It’s been a month and a half, and I was doing okay, but this week, I couldn’t get Ruairí off my mind.

You remind me of my very first schoolteacher from 7 - 10 years old. She was so great. Learnt me a lot. I named my grandparents wood boat after her when we moved and I had to change school, her name was Laura. I doubt she is still alive today since she was about 60 years old at the time in the late 70's.
BUT I'll always remember my teacher Laura that taught me so much in a way that made me remember it still to this day.

I love this. My wonderful Daddy in law was a bus driver and a grounds keeper for the private school my husband went to! He just recently retired and the kids had an official day for him. He’s a die hard Dodgers fan and it was a dodger themed day. Ever single kids and faculty member wore dodger blue!
