This is the reason why I haven't been watching your channel for some time is because the Galaxie project fell by the wayside when you were having engine troubles with your truck and then went out and got a clapped out 5.0 Fox Mustang. All the time and money was wasted this way instead of continuing on the Galaxie. Very glad to see it back on your channel again! Yes, you did very good body work lots of extensive metal work and I'm proud of you that the epoxy doesn't show horrible body work that you've done. Great job! I look forward to future videos of the Galaxie and am excited to see the blocking and painting the car will be outsourced. I really think the end results will be awesome!!
You can't beat and FE for power, performance and reliability. I turned 21 the year this car was built. My first FE was in my 2nd car a 57 Merc 362 ci. They called it a turnpike cruiser. It would cruise by every thing but a gas station. got about 8 mpg. This car is going to be a great example of a custom Galaxie.🤠 🏁
FEs make good daily street car engines you can make 400hp pretty easy with a common 390 and keep most of the stock bottom end in it. Plus at one time back in the 80s and early 90s the 390 FE was a prettty common and cheap engine at a lot of the wrecking yards as they came in early 70s pickups, and fords big cars like the LTD.
That Galaxie is looking great, Craig! I just got a 66 Mercury Montclair in November, hadn't run in 6 years, maybe longer. Put a battery in it, some gas down the carb, and some in the tank, it fired up and idled. It still fires up with one pump, and I haven't touched the autolite 2100 on that 390.
Finally! I thought you had given up on that car. The excitement in your voice for this project is fantastic. So cool how she started up right away...she wants finished too!
Glad to see the Galaxie again I ve been waiting. Those FE are really dependable. I had a cousin that had a 64G with a 390. We would go on road trips and come home with two quarts of oil left in the engine. Put three in and do it again. Never left us stranded.
A friend of mine had one of these in high school, around 1973, light blue, with slot mags and Thrush side pipes. Always loved that color on these Galaxies, and his also had the 390 in it. Looking forward to seeing this car finished!
its not going to be fast if you want it straight... ;) And you do, no waves allowed! no surfs up! LAZER STRAIGHT. no faulty reflections over door gaps, looooots of filler primer and wet long blocking. wet lets you see the waves and imperfections in the shine. Been waiting for this car to return to your channel for a long time now. Car looks great.!
I am so glad to see your car back I started watching your channel because of this car and then we went dirt cars Ford pickup which is really cool and the fox body but I am so glad to see the Galaxy Pack and one color can't wait to see it done good luck😮🎉
Excellent thank you for the update! I looks really good. I’m glad to see all the work you did is paying off. Glad to see that you still have them. I’m excited to see you finish them thank you!!
I came to this channel for the galaxie, been waiting for it to come back. Gives me great motivation to get my 66 fairlane in decent shape, noticed you got a 67 fairlane, looking forward to seeing that as well great stuff man 🤘🏻
Just put new lower coilover brackets on the rear moved in 2 to 3 inched per side and it will lift the rear. The angle of the coils now is less than ideal anyway. Looking good.
Just saying the other day i wish you would bring the Galaxie back so we could get away from that dump truck sounding truck being revved to death lol. The Galaxie is what brought me here because it was cool to see somebody your age dive in and do it vs saying they dont know how, really impressed with how it came out with as much cutting and patching that you did to it.
You need your own NINEONINE Shop (mechanical/autobody) without any interference from other's In your way. Independent space for yourself to get things done. Enjoy the content, Thanx!
I would love to have one of these. There are several for sale in my area, but most are pretty far gone. There are a couple that look pretty easy to get road worthy, but the price reflects that.
SO sorry for the not car related question. the pole tent over the Galaxie. How well has it held up to the elements? IF you were to recommend it what brand or where did you get it? Thanks in advance.
Sweet to see it's back in the queue! I get how it's a problem to have the rear so lowered but, man, that car's body lines look so good with that high front low rear rake. Like how the designer intended it almost LOL.
Good to see it back! Excited to see what color you choose. At first I thought you had gone with one of the newer Toyota matte finishes. Definitely would be different. No matter what I'm sure it will look great.
I'll be shocked if you really get to enjoy this Galaxy once you have it painted... with all of the attention to tiny details, I foresee it being "too nice" for most occasions when it's all said and done.. ending up garaged, "in the way", and eventually in to storage to avoid any damage from working around it. Then it'll sit for full seasons because it's in storage away from being able to easily drive it, then it'll make it to a show or two per year, then eventually someone will just offer up a price enough for you to justify moving on it because "you never use it anymore". I hope that's not the case, but it's a rinse and repeat story for soooo many hot rodders. I sincerely hope you prove me wrong!
Love these cars but you should have a parts list or brands you use on your best site. My reason is like me I am restoring a truck and I get ideas from you and it’s always helps knowing what some ppl are using these days.
So once this gets finished (hopefully this year), you have the choice to make....which one of these makes the trek for HRPT 30th next year? Going to make a concerted effort to make my dentside 150 ready for the tour.
Don't forget to grab your apparel & decals here! This helps out A LOT with the Galaxie & the F100! Thanks everyone!

I can vouch deeply my 390 really is a monster no stroker needed

That Galaxy has nice looking long lines & that epoxy is a sinister color I like it.

Good to see it back man galaxies are one of the best cars ford has made
Just saying the other day i wish you would bring the Galaxie back so we could get away from that dump truck sounding truck being revved to death lol. Funny how the parts car became a primary build lol love the galaxy happy to see it back Craig.

Scuff it and spray three coats of urethane high build. Block one panel at a time
Galaxy is going to be awesome.
I’m in the middle of doing the body work on one of my crew cabs for the first time and I hope mine turns out that good after epoxy! Great job.
Thanks Matt! Love watching yours come together.
That galaxie is ALREADY bad to the bone. Can’t wait to see the end result! 🤙🏽🤙🏽

Great progress there. Just goes to show how good the red one will look now seeing this
Hello Craig. I like the butterscotch color of the Galaxy. Is there any thoughts of adding a brandywine or root beer scheme for it?
So once this gets finished (hopefully this year), you have the choice to make....which one of these makes the trek for HRPT 30th next year? Going to make a concerted effort to make my dentside 150 ready for the tour.
