Imo the hardest part of exercise is often when you go static as opposed to attacks or even most patrols. When you get into a harbour, you're at the mercy of the elements, you realise just how fatigued you are, parts of you start to hurt more and you want more than anything just to sleep or get warm and sheltered. This documentary does a better job than most in show casing what actually makes Army life hard. Better than watching some spotty teenager crow it trying to iron his uniform in ITC.

Good old Brecon cattlegrid .. pressure pad for shiiite weather
This brings back horrible memories 😂 That captain seems very switched on.
He was bang average and a terrible Bn 2ic - he left the army half way through tne 2ic appointment. Wouldn’t follow him to a toilet
It's easily forgotten over the decades how f**King 'orrible Sennybridge and Brecon training areas were 😅😅
Fuck me, Id rather take full on snow drifts and minus 30 weather. At least you can stay largely dry. That looks absolutely miserable.
Ah, the misery of it all - I’m glad I’m a civvie now ….
Episode 5 going to be uploaded?
How come you have Bertie from 9 Sqn on the front?
I know his brother Paul. I've just sent him this vid, but the rest of the vid has nothing to do with Dave.
