    Hard lessons were learned in Afganistan however the British soldiers were under no illusion it would be deadly and went in with unbelieveable courage and determination.

    one thing i notice is , the tv production company hoped to follow 4 lads from start to finish. Obviously 2 bailed some they lost half the show. From a company of 120 bods, every single one turned down the company. They were forced to follow the OC to make the end of the series. something in that

      Not covered up the exact details of what happend to Mclaren have been rightly kept out of the public as he was probably captured and tortured to death, his family know exactly what happend and that's all that matters.

      @@jamescoupland131I just looked it up poor lad suffered greatly! I'm not a soldier but I have been interested as of late to more learn about the Afghan Conflict. I know our Army has a huge issue of mass r's and bullying though very similar to America and Canada, frankly disgusting tbh but the Talban also are way worse!

      The lads never looked stupid they did their duty as soldiers.I don’t understand the political reasoning behind the campaign unless there is some resources in Afghanistan the west wants ie minerals something we don’t know about.

    The Brits didn’t really have any super dangerous areas of operations. US took all the high intensity areas and our companies wiped out taliban with heavy losses from IEDs

      Why is it the British army that are requested to train forces around the world and not American?
