Switching from macOS Sonoma to Ventura on Unsupported iMac

    Thank you for putting this guide together and making it short, uncomplex and easy to follow. I used an external SSD to try, firstly on a MacBook Pro 2013 and also an iMac 27.5" 2011, both to Ventura in one step. The only issue was the keyboard and trackpad on the iMac did not work until the process was complete so had to use wired ones until the end. Wonderful to have the latest features and patches I can rarely see any difference in speed even given I'm using this via USB2 SSD.

    Thanks for your guide. It's really understandable and i commend your efforts to humanity.
    Just a quick one. I have this exact imac and it's currently running high Sierra 10.13.6.
    I am planning to follow your guide to update it to Ventura. I would like to know if the OS can run efficiently without lagging. Planning to run music production softwares and video editing software on it

      It runs really well without lagging. But for software, you might need to check for hardware compatibility first since not all modern software can run on the hardware in its original state.
