You can also get a lot more use out of these old Intel based Macs with Bootcamp, allowing you to run Windows 10 or 11, in fact the 2010 -2011 models are even more up-gradable because you can change the processors and graphics cards, add 2 additional SSD drives instead of the HDD and CD optical drive, without all the stick down tape nonsense as the displays are held in place with screws and magnets. Thank you for making this video. I have Monterey on my 2011 iMac right now using OCLP. Did connecting the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard give you any issues? I had held off on upgrading because I thought I had read Bluetooth had stopped working in Ventura for our model.

One of the best 8.8 video on YT. One tip, use a block of wood between the housing and the pry bar to pry the carrier out the case. If you pry on the case the differential gasket is now prone to leaking.

I used Asprogrammer first and it failed at erase(with nearest chip) and I bricked my bios. When connected back no life. Because the programmer still detected the chip it was not cooked (you can right it million times) - then I used Neo programmer to detect it, as long it can detect the chip it will able to erase, right and verify. T470s is all working!

why dont you short out the pins of the chip and boot the PC like in the other videos

By the way, it's way better and secure using soldered bios than clamp. when you patch the bios file no need CMD, only drag the bios file to the patcher python app. gretings from Mexico Amigo
