Congrats, Malick, on getting LAX! 🥂 Nothing like being home based! I don’t even mind RSV. The worst that can happen is you get called out for a trip…and you may get lucky and spend the day(s) at home (with pay!). I like the spontaneity of it. I just assumed that being exhausted and sleeping all day when I get back home was just being older. I guess being west coast based does have something to do with it. I never go hungry anymore, and usually never spend a dime on food when on the road, because I meal prep. I love my own food, and being able to eat any time! My InstantPot, HotLogic, and cooler bag are my most prized possessions!
Congratulations on being based at home🎉 🥂 It is nice to live at home and your base is where you live. The commuting to work is not easy sometimes! And with weather being a major problem in terms of travel, it becomes really really hard many times. For me, back then at my former airline, I was glad I got based in Chicago right out of training. Also, back then for me New York and Washington DC were 2nd and 3rd selections in base assignments. I knew I had family in New York so, that was going to be a little easy staying with family not having to get an apartment for the first six months. Also, back then New York was the first base wanting new F/As but that bases only wanted 15 new F/As at that time. Then Chicago wanted about 15 to18 F/As. Then Washington DC received the rest from my former graduation class. I was glad I got Chicago where I already lived. I use to have 4 hours to come to work back then and Chicago was the HQ for the airline back then. Yes, you are right about becoming a "junior" with your seniority at your new base! But the main thing is that you are home. No commuting trying to get to work! You live at home and your base is at home!! Again, congratulations!🎉🎉🥂 😊
Thank you so much! Commuting can be crazy, now that I’m not doing it i wonder how I did haha! Happy you got Chicago when you started out. When I started I lived in nyc so was grateful just the same. Happy to be back living the based at home life.
You are such a dear sweet man! I used to be a dear sweet woman. I am 59 years old. I lost everything two years ago. My health is not good and I have to work full time to support myself. I now for the first time in my life have no medical insurance. Yada, yada. You are inspiring me to go back to being a dear sweet woman again. Life situations have hardened me and I don’t like it. I am on a mental journey to be the woman I once was and am really meant to be. Much Love ❤️
ahhh have been to el paso once funny enough it was on my mind - would love to visit again. nice to meet you and thank you for the kind words from los angeles :)
Malick what a great vlog I am so glad you're based in LA and your trips are better for you. You have the best energy this vlog came at the perfect time today I went to the gym and now winding down. And the book you are reading can you get it at Barnes and Noble? That book sounds very interesting and I would like to read it. I have driven myself crazy in my head over stupid things where I need to decompress. Keep sending those positive vibes because its very comforting. Congrats on getting your line.
Randy :) this makes me so happy to hear! Glad it came at the perfect time 😌 yes I imagine you could get it at B&N the title is “the book of healing” by najwa zebian if not maybe Amazon? Same with me sometimes I just need to chill rather than drive myself crazy. Sending you good vibes 😎 we got this! And thank you for the congrats!
Loving the content! Walking past Pink's Hot Dogs brings back memories of standing in that line at 3am after a night clubbing to scarf down some amazing chili dogs.
Malick, is it not wonderful to be free of that hassle of back and forth transcontinental just to start work!, Glad for you. Am from Los Angeles (Silverlake and Echo Park). And saw the short clip of your being at Pink’s on LaBrea. Miss it very much. Love the slaw dog. We would take our basset with us there. She was welcome to dine with us outside in the back. Stay well. You will adjust to the red eyes east if keep doing them. Also happy you hold a line fir eNext month. By the way how many FAs more or less are based at LAX? Your friend, Herman
Hey malick, how are you ? I love your story telling, the way you present what your saying. Being on reserve seems more taxing on your body than you would think. I would love to see a video from you on manifestation too.. and waw that sunset was out of this world, so beautiful..have a great day/weekend ❤
Shaun! thank you :)) yes definitely a crazier lifestyle imo! working on the manifesting video ☺️ and my roommate actually took that shot, stunning! have a great weekend! ❤️
You transferred? I thought you said the LA flight attendants don't go to places as exciting as the JFK-based flight attendants? But at least you don't have that commute anymore! :)
yes but LA fas are going pretty interesting places too imo -- these things change all the time! soooo nice to not have the commute. happy you're here Derrrell!

Hey Malick! Congrats 🍾🎉 getting LA based flight attendant! Great vlog! At your airline, what are your junior bases? If one doesn’t get their 1st choice of base, when can you transfer to another base? Also during training, how is seniority award? Would it be better if I email you my questions? If so, May I have your email address please? Thanks!
Frederick! thank you so much for your congratulations and for being here again 😊 happy to help if you're thinking of becoming an FA? can you send me a DM on instagram? @classymalick!
