Everything I've ever learned about wrapping has been from CK. I'M still not very good but with practice it's getting a lot better. First my little hotrod speedboat. Next one of my old British sport cars. This is fun and addictive. Great teacher Thank you !!!!!
same here, just wrapped my truck by myself and wrapped my brothers truck with his help, and im pretty impressed as how well they both came out just watching tutorials and giving it a shot
There are a lot of people in the world and I have no question that there are many people better than me. I suppose the ones who have said that probably believe they're the best. There are many very large ego's out there. I just do my best, whatever that is to people then so be it.
I like this video because you re showing real difficulties and how to overcome them. Nice job closing the loops....once the edge is done, the job is done too!
hey man keep up the good work... you point out alot that people criticize your work, if they have a problem with how your doing it why do they continue to watch your videos? LOL its funny cos your methods have worked for me and its probably the most efficient and effective method to wrap. I'm using Chinese vinyl also so your method does work. Thanks for the videos
A big hello from Germany. Now this man know what He do super info at all. Thx for All the help. No Bad music at the background and the vid cut is realy cool. Thx man.
I’m doing the wrap job on my e92 m3. It’s the first wrap I’ve ever done. It’s taking me forever but I’m almost done. The rear bumper was pretty difficult for me to wrap. Lots of curves. It didn’t turn out exactly how I want it. I’m not too happy with that so I’ll probably end up redoing it. I still need to do my front bumper and trunk. It hadn’t occurred to me to do inlays. I might just copy your technique and replicate the same inlays. I will say, mad respect to wrapping guys like you. It looks easy but trust me it’s not.
You killed it with the education. the raw video and even the uncontrolled variables ie temp. Helped show what a well balanced installer needs to manage and deal with. Keep it up homie 👍
Awww man I wished u lived over here on England UK Christian. I could sit there alday and just watch. Incredible work and u make it look so easy. Just wished I could do this for a living as iam really intrested in it. Top job mate
Your vids are spot on with helpin me learn. Tried wrapping my battery cover for my motor bike. It like a have egg shape. With indents and other bits. So i tried stretching it slightly and it shrunk onto it. Finished off not too bad for a first attempt. Had too cut the sides and over lap but it worked. Id love a purple chrome on my own car!
I just got a M2 front bumper all primed and unpainted. This is such a clutch video for me right now! Longtime channel subscriber and joining forum this weekend.
Hello at CK I was going to do a DIY wrap for my BMW 07 328i! Was wondering do I have to take the bumper and trims off but I guess not... This video has me rest assured that I can complete it with doing that extra part. Is this true or do I have to take them off?
I thought I would see him using more knife less tape being used for the inlays. I’m confused how he’s getting the giant bumper piece to match up with the inlay edge perfectly just by using his knife. To me it seems when you cut the big piece by hand when matching up the the inlay it’s either going to be doubled up or there will be a gap between the pieces. Can someone please explain this. Thanks
@@CKWraps thanks for the quick reply Christian. Got it. I’m a tool and die maker. I should be able to do this as a first timer. A lot of precision work for my day job. I want to do my 1993 Mazda RX7 with that flexi shield carbon fiber ppf that you really like. I think it will look mental
Well my bmw job today was horrible :( Did trunk first but did it from top straight down then tried to wrap edges. Wish I had seen this video first. Did it like a hood. Secure middle line then move to the outsides one at a time. Had so many wrinkles due to pulling it back off and reheating it to remove wrinkles I believe I was just activating the avery vinyl adhesive over and over. By the time I gave up it was hardly even sticky anymore. Side note when the vinyl arrived it was full of creases. The backing looked like varicose veins or little squiggly worms. The actual vinyl had cracks like if you were to fold it hard. As I worked the vinyl with the squeegee I left all sorts of scratch marks behind as well. I think it might have been dirt traces kicked up by the powerful ac unit, even though I cleaned the area I was working in. Will try again another day.
Dont use blower ... do a cold press first if you heat and pull you will strech and also activate the glue and best film 3m 1080 series for us beggginers..
It looks like he is using Vvivid gloss Smurf Blue. It is a thicker film than most. Therefore it can withstand more heat, before encountering problems. Cold stretch the film, and add heat as a last resort, instead.
sometimes you use a wrapglove. but not on this one. when is the need for it the most? in my mind a glove would be easier to move your fingers around and over the the wrap.
No voice at the end of ur video 😟 I have a question!! What kinda film r u using? Mine is kinda thick one and urs looks really good to me and looks thinner than mine which is looks awesome!!! So which one is better for u? Thick or thin? Thanks
Dont understand. Some suggest to almost never use heat gun as it compromises long term integrity of wrap and makes it more likely to unpeel later but he uses the heat gun everywhere here so whats the truth? Heat gun or no heat gun?
Do you use tack reducer on a body part with sketchy paint like that? The cold coming in must have been super frustrating and sketchy AF! Any great video...Thanks dude!
Dude is that your garage. Shut the bloody doors and switch some heaters on:))) ! I have a question . Im about to do my 7 series myself is the next shape g12 but still m sport and will need some advice on the parking sensors. Do i have to remove and wrap them or its fine to stay on the bumper? Thx and have a nice Christmas.
I actually have a video on doing them for this car. But you can just wrap over them and leave them uncut. It's easier for some people and there's no risk of messing it up.
I don't like doing bumpers by myself..Although I can. I know torches are frowned upon but for something like this I usually use two torches (one in each hand) and heat the film thoroughly top to bottom and have another guy help me get it glassed out in one shot.
I ordered 5’x70’ for my first wrap on my E90. I had a little left over but I made a few mistakes. It’s always better to have too much rather than too little.
Future reference on BMWs they mostly have 5 T20s two on the top one behind the wheel arch and two next too the headlight between the light and the rubber housing too the grills(or where the grill would be) Great content brother keep up the hard work♥️ Ps opening my own wrapping company soon🤙 KhameleonWraps🙏

I have seen some people say you are not a master wrapper but just an above-average one but that may be the thing that makes you a great teacher.
There are a lot of people in the world and I have no question that there are many people better than me. I suppose the ones who have said that probably believe they're the best. There are many very large ego's out there. I just do my best, whatever that is to people then so be it.
This is no doubt one of the hardest front bumpers to wrap. I still cringe when I get the M3 M4 style bumpers as jobs. Major props and good job.
I like this video because you re showing real difficulties and how to overcome them. Nice job closing the loops....once the edge is done, the job is done too!

Do you prefer this film or the Avery gloss light blue? I think I want to go with this color for my next aventador?
I'd go with Avery over this. I'm actually not sure if this color is still available from Vvivid.
I just ordered this exact color from VViViD for my 911!!!!!!! Can’t wait.
i feel your pain brother the cold weather and certain materials make it difficult to apply a wrap easily and good quality.
Grazie.

Wrapped my 1M like this. Did the inlays in exactly the same way. Looks just fine.
I'm wrapping my 1m and this is so god dam helpful
Does the wrap interfere with the parking sensors at all?
ASMR vibes in this video 🤤🙉👂🦻
This guy gives some good tips but really this is one of those things you either can do it through practice or you can’t.

WITHOUT^*
What temp you use heat gun?
Would it be easier if u had 2 people pull while heating.
What color wrap is that red?
finally. now i can learn how to do my own car :D it sounds like a really thick film compared to the matte and chrome ones you've done
Planing on wraping my Alfa Romeo 159 SW Ti in mate black, would like to get some directions ifpossi le. Thanks...

Knifeless tape doesn't serve any purpose other than not cutting directly on paint. 99% of the install requires skill to be able to cut accordingly.

Great wrap, i do this for a living also here in australia. Love your work man
Still wrapping Josh? Where are you located?
Thomas Davico yea i am, Ballarat Australia @thesignmill on social media

Cool. Cost to wrap a vf commodore in a matte colour of some description? For how long is the car required?
Thomas Davico if you would like to msg me privately on instagram we can discuss
I wish you wouldve done this a year ago, same exact car and same Vvivid smurf blue. Time to re wrap my front bumper :P
Thanks for helping me really wasting away a good hour of my life. I'm actually doing surgery right now.
Looks great. Its really similar to the vw/ Audi color "Nogaro blue." The 7er looks much better with the ///m sport stuff.

You dont need heat. Sounds like you destroyed the memory of the vinyl
Is it cold in there?
Would love to see you wrap a FRS/BRZ if you ever get to do one.
Wanted to see what you were going to do with the washers that pop out of the bumper...
YES! was waiting for a video like this
Stunning love this Christian brother 😍🇺🇸🇬🇧🏁
shit ton of bubbles in the wrap how u gonna get those out now?
I'd like to try some of this vvivid vinyl in Poland cause here we don't have any shop with it
You need your own Bay buddy!!! Up and temp changes sux
i have problems with inlays. idk how to lay them so the seem is hidden
What are your heat gun settings?
Awesome. Thanks for sharing Christian.
We lost audio at the end? :o
I've heard its not good to stretch the wrap unless necessary because it will shrink at edges. Is that truth or does it stick better with stretching?
Watch more vids.. can’t stretch to much
What’s the mint roll in the background? 😍
What film you're using? Most of the films i have applied cant hold the color perfectly when stretched and applied with blower
It's their own VViViD brand

Canadian best brand
Your heating it to much then. You need heat all the time. Your going to destroy your cars
Hey CK, if it is that cold, do you leave the car inside for a while before you give it back or do you let it go right after you done?
I guess on the bumpers it's ok not to use knifeless tape? If yes, why?
Hey Sir, what is this for a watch do you have, nice Thing.
Hey Christian, how many yards of vinyl was this car (ballpark)?
About 20
where can I buy that colour and get it delivered to the UK?
do you lease a space in some one else's garage ?
sometimes you use a wrapglove. but not on this one. when is the need for it the most? in my mind a glove would be easier to move your fingers around and over the the wrap.
Doesn't matter. Grow some man fingers other wise you might get a booboo
Heard of gecko patches? I heard they work
love the videos what squeeges do you use for gloss wrap to not scratch it up?
No voice at the end of ur video 😟
I have a question!!
What kinda film r u using? Mine is kinda thick one and urs looks really good to me and looks thinner than mine which is looks awesome!!! So which one is better for u? Thick or thin?
Thanks
How high is the heat when you’re up that close to relax the film to glass
THX for showing - also this video show is not always a smooth work to apply the WRAP ... ;) ...
guessing after this you have to go and change your vehicles documentation? or not?
Shut up
Dont understand. Some suggest to almost never use heat gun as it compromises long term integrity of wrap and makes it more likely to unpeel later but he uses the heat gun everywhere here so whats the truth? Heat gun or no heat gun?

why do you tape the headlights?
I’m guessing so he doesn’t cut into them when he trims the wrap before he tucks it in

how to on 2008 997 dr handles
how much wrapping do you need for a car like bmw ?🤔
I wrapped my f30 and used about 55 ft. I usually order 60 ft for every car I wrap
I ordered 5’x70’ for my first wrap on my E90. I had a little left over but I made a few mistakes. It’s always better to have too much rather than too little.
Very very good bro💪💪💪
Reminds me of when I wallpapered most of my old house.
You make it look so easy lol
Hi. I have one question. I use same heatgun, and please you say: how setup it heat and overheat, if it is no problem. Thanks (sorry my English)
Great instruction on this vid
"The car is not magnetic". What does that mean? I know absolutely nothing abt rapping, I have a feeling it's the temperature of the vehicle?
Is this a serious question? I’m not judging, just can’t tell if you joking
Bailey De Livera 🤣
magnets wont stick to bumper to hold the vinyl wrap up for him
is it safe to wax vinyl?
No
Yes
Best wrap
Damn. That looks like some thick pool toy level vinyl.
Why not use primer from 3m on the trashed bottom?
Because I don't use primer
CK Wraps aren’t you afraid of pullback on the bottom and with such bad paint that will just crack and flake further.
Primer shit, dude! I sympathize with your customers, if you use it.
How would you go about wrapping the front end of a c3 corvette? It has a single body panel that wraps around the front from wheel to wheel.
It's also the same for the backend. One panel from door to door.
one really big piece for each end

The last few minutes dont have sound.
well done sir. god bless
This also lets me know that when I start.... start off with the bumpers first 😅
Great video, great info just really annoying how much you complain about the cold weather
think of the heat gun as licking the blunt

Bro you have some surgical cuts
Thats seems to be a kinda thick and tacky film, but still nice outcome!
I COULDN'T DO THAT IN A MILLION YEARS , COOL BUT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME LOL
