Great job ! I worked with vinyl for over 30 years. There are so many types. Here's something you may not have known: The backing ( the slippery paper you throw away ) is run through what's called a release coater. Release is applied evenly on that backing. It then goes through a long ovens, temperature is about 250 degrees. The vinyl ( the face material ) is run through an oven @ about 225 degrees. That makes the vinyl softer and pliable. The backing then goes through an adhesive coater. The amount of adhesive applied is what's called a coating weight. The heavier the coating weight, the pricier the vinyl. It then goes through an oven again, then both the vinyl and backing are brought through a laminator. Once laminated, it transfer the adhesive to the vinyl. The standard widths of the vinyl are 54" or 60" wide. From there, it goes to a slitter, and is cut in designated widths that a customer has requested. There were four major manufacturers at one time. Avery, MACtac, Fassons and of course 3M. The thinner the vinyl the more brittle it is to work with. I wrapped my first car in 1988. People thought I had lost my mind. Until they saw the finished product. Ü Wrap on, Brother.
Hello Carolina, I wish everyone that's really interested in wrapping could see the vinyl manufacturing process. It's an incredible process. Christian did get to see a little of the process, but because of rules of the vinyl manufacturing process, they don't want anyone to see how the ' sausage ' is made. If there's anyone that I would love to have seen the complete process, it's Christian. He'd have been very impressed. If you cut me I'd bleed blood, if you cut Christian, he's bleed vinyl. I hope Christian's honesty, hard work, knowledge and craftsmanship comes through to everyone. Christian's character and dedication to his craft are impeccable. On top of that he's just really a nice guy. I put Christian in that rare category of " they don't make them like that anymore. " Thank you for writing, Carolina. Best of luck to you ! My best, Scott
watching it all come together when you start tucking and trimming away the excess gets me all giddy and excited! I can't wait to try wrapping my wife's car soon!
I'm Brazilian and I'm learning a lot from your videos. I work with automotive adhesives for 6 years, today I have my company and every day I discover new and technical things that are making my job much easier. Thanks for the knowledge and continue with your videos. One day I will go to your workshop to exchange knowledge. Good work.
You are a natural born teacher brotha! Just ordered wrap from Vivvid and your insta was on the packaging and I am so blessed from gleaning all your hard earned knowledge! What a fulfilling profession ya have there. You're a teacher and an Ar'Tist! Much love and I will share my wrap after it's done this weekend! Cheers brotha!
Pretty amazing how the stuff returns to its original shape after being stretched and wrinkled and heated and cooled and heated again... and how the adhesive pretty much only sticks when you want it to. Much more forgiving than I would have guessed.
its forgiving and not at the same time, there is a fine line of limit .you can stress it and make it do things you wouldn't expect but it lasting, is a different story . fun stuff .
This is the longest video on YT I’ve watched but never got bored at all. I even rewind it whenever I get interrupted. I’ve wrapped cars already and getting better and better just by watching your videos. Thanks for all your detail How to’s. It’s been helping me a lot. And I’m about to wrap my 5th one. You’re an Idol. 🐐
WOW!! You have skills on a whole different level! Simply amazing. EXCELLENT WORK!! Please show some more close up work where you tuck body seams and cut inlays. Thank You! Bill
Love your channel I’ve been watching you put on wraps for many hours man I don’t think that anybody does it better than you and I like the fact that your videos are long and you let us follow your steps through the whole video. Keep up the good work.
Brother you are really a good teacher. The way you explain every single bits. Very helpful buddy. Really appreciate it. Hopefully one day i will be able to wrap like a professional. Many thanks
Some people dislike it cuz they don't know how to make it work... Actually it fun for me when wrap the car. Reason why I want to learn how to warp cuz I want to change body's style of my Ford Fiesta 2014.
Just stumbled on this video series, when I saw you doing the rear subie trunk, I was like does he know what he's doing. After you had finished I thought WOW this guy is gifted for sure! I then watched a few more and have to say your a pleasure to watch, you seem down to earth and care about what you're doing a trait that hard to find sometimes. He the good work going A+!
Great Job. Very amusing learning video. You know how to keep newbies interested in the subject. Amazing ! Than you for sharing. Appreciate this very much. Keep up the good work !
Christian your videos are tremendously helpful. Very hands on and informative. I feel other installers show you snippets of there work ie before, during and after. All week I have sat for hours watching you work. One question for you. Do you go through a few heat guns? As sometimes you can hear it bounce off the ground lol. Keep them coming best videos on TH-cam by far.
I’m super confused how he wrapped the inside portion of the bumper. It looks like he cut where he was supposed to wrap so how did he lay down the inboard part of the bumper?! 1:19:33
Been sitting here going through videos and I would have never guessed you were up north in Toronto after the video the other day talking about it being 95 out.
This is the 10th of your awesome tutorials i have watched this week. Thanks a million. I have just bought a 200x500mm sample of chrome irridescent to try on my mirror caps (peugeot 207sw🤣) If it looks half as good as you have taught me ill do the whole car! And ill post a vid and share it with you. I am a pro car painter/beater so am quietly confident🤔
Love your videos. I work at a sign shop and use the same techniques when applying onto acrylic. Very cool to see it done on cars. Thank you for the excellent content. Keep it up. Subscribed.
Bro how are you going to look at the phone ringing and not answer?? It was me, and I'm watching you...🤣🤣 JJ, jj 🤣🤣🤣🤣 But seriously though, people don't realize how serious this wrap thing is. It can be time consuming to get it RIGHT!! And I like your work! Very detailed. That bumper would have scared some off! Awesome job!! Oh yeah, and I subbed!👍👏👏👏
i just saw this exact car at the chicago auto show today in that same color green. dont know if it was wrapped or factory paint but i think it was paint.
Hi Chris, I followed your channel since 2017, I was wondering if you could have the thermometer hanging on the wall so we can see the actual temperature in the room while installation wrap just for educational purposes. ( just a thought) 👍
I have a small roll of wrap and also have a telescope which suffrered some damage when it was shipped. How would I wrap just the tube? I've removed everything and I'm left with just a 7 inch radius tube. Will the wrap be able to be stretched around both ends of the tube? Or should I cut reliefs to make it fit? If it works I may tackle a few other telescopes.
How did you keep from getting the glue lines at the headlight area when you stopped and left it? Then came back? With 3m id have had a glue line galor right there i feel
Wondering if someone can help when you tuck the wrap underneath the bumper does it go all the way to the back of the lip and around the edge or just underneath to where you can't see it.
Can you put a link in here where to buy the best wrap - best brand etc...I purchased some and did a couple of things but the wrap is more plasticky than stretchy. When I heat it, it tends to melt..I'm sure it's just a wrap that isn't very good
CK Wraps, can you tell me about how much Vivid wrap I would need to cover a 2007 Dodge Charger? I really like the Vivid brand. I watch you use it all the time and it's a very forgiving wrap to work with and even a novice such as myself should be able to apply it. Please include any extra you recommend as I plan to wrap the entire car from bumper to bumper.
Chris you are an artist. What a transformation. What kinda pisses me off is you are busting your butt while how many other people are standing around laughing and joking around. I am really surprised that all the back ground noise does not ruin your concentration. Great job as usual.
Great vid bro, may i ask you what would be the best brand and black shade color for a white vehicle? I have white charger 392 and how difficult would be the hood wrap for a first timer like me
What does he mean by not flexing the lip too much so stones don’t come out? Is he talking about like sand embedded in the bumper from driving? You can wrap over that without it showing?
Joseph Kaufman if you look at his other videos, he doesnt take anything off. bumpers, trims, etc. everything is on the car. He does great work from what i can tell from these videos and that's why i asked that question.
what teperature did you had there?i remember on 14-15celcius i got cracked 3M.it was bentley bentayga rear bumper wich is super easy.so i go with cold minimum strech and it cracked...now i never work under 16-17 with 3M...in cold i think only avery is bit softer and not breaks
You make this look so easy. I've wrapped some of my cars before but with cheap ebay noname.. Got to redo a rear bumper and was about to pay for 3M (Newer 2080) have you changed your mind on the new 3M or still find Vvivid more forgiving..
What kind of felt do you use on your squeegees and do they scratch the surface any? Thanks for all your hard work showing us how to wrap a vehicle. James

Wow, I'm so glad I found this channel, great job! I didnt know wrapping was like this. Its amazing. I want to wrap my whole 96 suburban now 😆
the fact that this professional appears to have a struggle just shows how difficult wrap install can be. patience and technique is key.
the beauty of it is how bad it looks at first, and how well you can perfect it when its done .
Wow ,you are amazing! Great job, outstanding craftsmanship, perfect communication as you go.

Good job man, i can't belive how good it turn out. That was a really hard bumper to wrap...you did it perfect. God job again!
Excellent job buddy 👏 👍🏻
I’m super confused how he wrapped the inside portion of the bumper. It looks like he cut where he was supposed to wrap so how did he lay down the inboard part of the bumper?! 1:19:33
You have mastered the wonderful work beautifully
Been sitting here going through videos and I would have never guessed you were up north in Toronto after the video the other day talking about it being 95 out.
We are now more then a year beyond when you posted this video. Can we see how the car looks now?
The client would need to bring the vehicle by on their time. If it ever comes by I will do a video
All of the videos had 2 people working together. You did a great job by upload your video 👍
I'll give you an A+. Excellent video! Well Explained and in depth.

“Just so we can get in there DEEP” and then he held himself 😂🤣 Am i the only one with dirty a mind???
Thanks for all the vids! I’m gearing up to do a cla45 half roof for the first time and appreciate your advice and techniques.
Seeing it go from a piece of vinyl draped on a hood to a second smooth skin is what does it for me
I have a small roll of wrap and also have a telescope which suffrered some damage when it was shipped. How would I wrap just the tube? Pretty much my favorite new channel to binge on. Thanks brother!
How did you keep from getting the glue lines at the headlight area when you stopped and left it? Then came back? With 3m id have had a glue line galor right there i feel
I don't even like putting cel screen protectors on so wrapping an entire car seems like a nightmare but it's hella cool looking
Hey do you have a video on the best heat gun. preferably the ones that dont auto shut off or auto cool after using it.
Wow!!! Che spettacolo. Fantastico colore. Fantastico lavoro.
You are the best man, honestly best TH-camr their is

How do you fix or prevent bubbles popping up after a fresh wrap?
love this video great job👍
Wondering if someone can help when you tuck the wrap underneath the bumper does it go all the way to the back of the lip and around the edge or just underneath to where you can't see it.
Would knifeless tape let you dial this kind of inlay with more detail?
Hey is there a way to send you photos of wraps I done and you can point me in what I done wrong and how to fix what I’m doing wrong
Great job 💪💪💪 thank you very much for your vedio lessons
How did you do those corners under the headlight / fender if I may ask?
Can you put a link in here where to buy the best wrap - best brand etc...I purchased some and did a couple of things but the wrap is more plasticky than stretchy. When I heat it, it tends to melt..I'm sure it's just a wrap that isn't very good

Awesome work bro!
Anyone have recommendations for a vinyl wrap product that resembles the transmission blue paint color that is commonly used on the Hyundai Ioniq 6?
Brilliant video boss you have serious skills.
You Did Good My Bwoy!!!!!!
Chris you are an artist. What a transformation. What kinda pisses me off is you are busting your butt while how many other people are standing around laughing and joking around. I am really surprised that all the back ground noise does not ruin your concentration. Great job as usual.

how come you just didnt take the headlights off? wouldnt it be easier and cleaner that way? also the emblems?
He said it was a rental car, I guess the rental business didn't want him taking stuff apart.
Joseph Kaufman if you look at his other videos, he doesnt take anything off. bumpers, trims, etc. everything is on the car. He does great work from what i can tell from these videos and that's why i asked that question.

It was about 20°C in the shop
WOULD IT BE HARD TO WRAP A 90 CROWN VIC BEING THAT ITS NOT A CURVY CAR AND MORE BOXED.
That small tool u used to tuck the wrap into crevices is called a what????
what is the tape you have used to cut on the headlights?
Where is the final product!?? Good job but I would've loved to see the final product.
what is the protective tape you are cutting on? I totally agree on the "wrips easy" 3M
Your Amazing Bro! My wife wants a wrap on her Smart Car!
So one Question. Where do you ordered your wrapping vinyl?
You make this look so easy. I've wrapped some of my cars before but with cheap ebay noname.. Got to redo a rear bumper and was about to pay for 3M (Newer 2080) have you changed your mind on the new 3M or still find Vvivid more forgiving..
This is inspiring as hell! Definitely subbing! It looks super clean
Thanks for the video.
Which cutter do you use ?
Well you sure know what you're doing ...great job!!!!
Man U make this look easy
What kind of felt do you use on your squeegees and do they scratch the surface any? Thanks for all your hard work showing us how to wrap a vehicle.
James
What color and brand is the vinyl on that dark red car in the intro?
for anyone that does this often, was this done fast, slow, or average?
