    Here are some steps below to get you prepared.
    Step 1: Start gathering a down payment
    One of the most important steps to buying a house for the first time? Figure out your finances. Buying a new home (particularly for the first time) requires a mortgage, where a lender fronts you the money and you pay it back over time. However, in order to get a mortgage, you’ll need some sort of down payment. So how much do you need?
    Ideally a down payment on a mortgage should be 20% of the home’s price to avoid added fees, but if you don’t have that much of a down payment, don’t worry. A mortgage down payment can be as low as 10%, 5%, or even 0% for certain types of mortgages (e.g., VA Loan or a USDA loan).
    Step 2: Check your credit score
    Did you forget to pay off a couple of credit cards? Unfortunately, it’ll affect your credit score.
    In addition to having a down payment, a first-time home buyer will need a decent credit score. Minimum of 620 is best. This three-digit number is a numerical summary of your credit report, a detailed document outlining how well you’ve paid off past debts like for credit cards and college student loans.
    A lender will check your score and report in order to estimate the odds that you will deliver your monthly payment, too.
    In turn, the lender will use this info to decide whether or not to loan you money, as well as how much and at what interest rate. If a lender sees some late payments on your credit cards or other blemishes in your credit report, this can lower your odds of getting a loan with a great interest rate, or perhaps even jeopardize your chances of getting any loan at all.
    Step 3: Get pre-approved for a mortgage ( Most Important)
    Another one of the most important first-time home buyer steps? Seeking pre-approval from a lender for a home loan. This is where you meet with a loan officer. Each mortgage lender will scrutinize your financial background-such as your debt to income ratio and assets-and use this info to determine whether to loan you money, and what size monthly payment you can realistically afford. This will help you target homes in your price range. And that’s good, because a purchase price that’s beyond your financial reach will make you sweat your mortgage payment and puts you at risk of defaulting on your loan.
    As a buyer, just keep in mind that mortgage pre-approval is different from mortgage pre-qualification. Pre-qualify, and you’re undergoing a much simpler process that can give you a ballpark figure of what you can afford to borrow, but with no promise from the lender. Getting pre-approved you’ll have to provide more paperwork, but it’s worth the trouble since it guarantees you're creditworthy and can truly buy a home

    Second house is a mess. It’a disgusting to think someone lived in that house as is. Out of their mind on the price. Maybe worth 78k. It needs a solid 100k in remodel costs.

    This is the problem in Orlando, house #2 shows that perfectly. $350k for that!!! Maybe $200k, but even banks don't want to come to reasonable prices.

    YUK! House number 2 is on a busy, noisy street! Driveway is damaged quite badly. Taxes are way too high and price is way too high.

    House #1 needs reworked price as there is too much work to be done. #2 is practically a gut job, should be price at $160-$180.

    Hey Kaleb. Happy Sunday. 1st home. Like the front elevation and color. The side entry garage actually nice. $295🙌🏼. Let’s see inside. Ok. Would change the flooring and paint the dining room. Change the carpet. Update the bathroom. Nice size living room. Oh. A breakfast nook too. Update the kitchen. Laundry a good size. Good size primary with access to pool. Good size en-suite. Agreed. Upgrade. Ditch the tub and get a larger shower and linen closet. Covered lanai. Birdcage. Definite potential here. Not bad at all. 2nd home also like the color and front elevation. Needs work on entry. This one is more than the first but needs way more work. Laundry 🤢. Stopped commenting once I saw the laundry. Agreed with major work there is potential. This should be in the $200’s As at least $100k or more will be put in. Nice size backyard. 3rd home. 🤔. Not accustomed to seeing brick in Florida. Don’t like seeing the kitchen on entry but first glance is clean. Not tore up from the floor up like the 2nd. Kitchen small but clean. Guest bedrooms and bath ok. Living/dining ok. Spacious primary. Appreciate the 2 closets. Small en-suite but clean. The screened in pool and covered lanai ok plus more yard. Not bad Kaleb. But $400+? Can get new construction with larger primary en-suites for $275 to $400. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.

    Hi Kaleb. I pretty much agree with most of the comments for the houses. They are all too high, no more than $250 - $275k, for #1 & #3. They are nice properties. #2- that needs to be less than $200k for all the work needed, the obvious flood/water damage, and the busy street it's on. It does have potential though, especially as a rental property. Thanks so much for the video!

    Hi Kaleb, thanks for showing us these homes....LOVE house #1, the layout is great, bedrooms are a decent size, it does needs a bit of TLC but thats cosmetic, as you said - this one is definitely a contender & I love the backyard with the pool - a must for me! At $295k, is that firm or is there any wiggle room? House #2...a dump..period. Noticed you didn't touch much in that one... haha, don't blame you - I wouldn't either - and certainly not worth anywhere near $359k, too much work & $$ needed to be invested. House #3 seems overpriced as well, its clean, & fairly spacious ,but the kitchen is tiny ! the rest is a bit of an odd layout, but great back yard and pool space. I wouldn't entertain a $400k price tag - not for this.

    im still waiting for lower prices and they will come soon enough now I think house no 2 unless that neighborhood is bring in 500 plus that place is not worth that price at all its a total gut job gross pigs
    house 1 nice but not sure about area maybe middle of no where and 20 minutes to I 4 is far so i am presuming not near too much house 3 was cute but over price for me taste but area probally good and closer to things etc but like I said waiting for a better price balance

    Love your channel, the wife and I love watching. The second home is unreal. How does a regular employed person buy a house at the current interest rate and then add that hyper inflated price. The remodel is probably 200+ thousand, and that does not account for all the misc. The market will spiral into doom. Lord help us!

    #1 It’s a Yes
    #2 It’s over priced , and needs a Full Job inside. ( Over $ 125,000 ) Including Windows. Not Sure about the neighborhood.
    #3 It’s definitely way overpriced
    Must say that the prices in Central Florida are 100% better than here in Dade County. Houses are roomier and the association prices are not abusive. property taxes are much better.

    Wow! House #2😵‍💫. Looks like it flooded. The only redeeming quality is the 2 super cute light fixtures in LR & Primary 😅. I really liked #1 and 3 but the cost on the last 2 were extraordinarily high! Loved look on 3❤ but kitchen is tiny! I know, older homes 😁

    Hi Kaleb, okay house #1. Replaced all that ugly green Carpet, Repaint, Upgrade the Bathrooms, Upgrade the Kitchen as well. Repaved The Whole Driveway in the Front and on the side. They asking $295,000 should be asking $235,000, It's really not a Bad looking House. #2. House is a Total Disaster. Anybody that buy this Home for $359,000 needs they Head Examine. More likely $199,000, and even that's asking too much. #3. The Kitchen is way to small, Needs Turf Green Maintenance, The Primary Bathroom is just too small. Now I like that sitting area next to the Sun patio, But $440,000 is way to high for a 1985 home more likely, $320,000 would be within the Range, Kaleb Nice 👍🙂 Video 📸

    I would like to meet the people who lived in house #2 😡. What am I missing? House 1 appears to be an excellent buy (?), house 2, well, would have to be well under $240K, house 3, also very overpriced, more like $350K.

      Also see 2 repaired holes in the master walk in. The electrical switches are old style. All the furnace vents are filthy dirty. I wonder how only and poorly maintained the furnace and air conditioner is.

    The third house is a joke for that price. I felt closed in on how narrow the entrance and walk way was. Just horrible lol The second house has potential but that floor plan is horrible. The first house is PERFECT for me!!! The upgrades and reno is nothing. But I must say ALL of these prices are also a joke. I encourage everyone to stay put and BUY NOTHING until the market comes back down to their senses. Smh Thanks for Sharing!

      Hey! It all depends on the condition of the home. Most of these bank owned homes ( in my area ) will need work so it best to try to purchase them with an convention loan.

    The 1st home is the best PERIOD! The 2nd home is priced too high, needs a complete gut job to the studs & rebuild, lower the price & it would be great, definitely has potential. The 3rd home is nice but as stated has an odd lay out, very small but cute, priced too high!

    I love all your videos but this one house for $350 man,,, Ask if they gonna sell that house they should sell it up 150 for all the works that's gotta be done in the house that's sad for them to won't that kind of money $350000,, And please don't get me wrong I love all your videos I look forward to seeing them I still haven't call you yet and purchase the home and I need one but I'm looking for the right price and I'll look at your videos all the time,,, But the homes that have the small rooms in them they've won a lot of money some of the room looked to be so small so small that you can only put up a twin bedroom and maybe won't crazy money but it's one home that I like so much it's still on the market than the Orlando area but it have a pool I don't want a house with a pool it's a nice big house too it's very nice but that poo
