    Only reason I got the Saturn Pro XXL is because it's nice to have an even surface when you pull your keyboard up to you. So instead of having to type off to the side of your pad, you can just pull the keyboard up to you and not have it be half on your desk and half raised on your mouse pad. I also work from home so I have to type a lot for my job. Makes it worth it in the end tbh. Glad it exists.

    • @WARnTEA
      @WARnTEA ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just use my old mousepads underneath my keyboard to help dampen the sound and prevent it from moving around. Then I use a wrist rest and I don't have to deal with the uneven surface of the mousepad and table on the arm. My wrist rest is a bit of hack, its one of those rectangle award plaques that are made of wood with an engraved metal plate glued to the front of it. It works surprisingly well, the metal plate is actually pretty nice for preventing my hand from getting sweaty or too cold.

    • @ZWortek
      @ZWortek ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup its nice to have your keyboard on the same level as your mouse, it dampens keyboard sound (in a good way), prevents any possibility of the pad moving, feels nice, and looks good IMO. Currently using a Venus XXL but my Saturn Pro XXL will be here in a few hours so I can't wait.

    I made my own mouse pad out of a sheet of PTFE. I use ceramic skates on my mice. I buff in a small amount of Fluid Film on the PTFE every now and then, and my mouse will glide 3ft with a light push. I'm never buying a conventional mouse pad again. i must be crazy but the jet is amazing for me... It feels like laminated. It has easy start motion but the laminated feel can still give it a grippy stopping power. People saying theres no stopping power are wrong or maybe using smaller skates? im using the gpx larger skates. The durability is way better than the shidenkai. Not sure why you said that pad was better, its just not. the shidenkai falls apart and you feel the little glass balls on it.
    Overall the jet is not as fast as glass but faster than cloth pads. It still has control, albeit less than a cloth pad. It is a lot more friendly on your mouse feet than glass too.
    I liked it so much i ordered the desk size version

      @mickaz436 it has a little bit of stickiness to it. But I've never needed to use a sleeve with it. A little stickier than a cloth pad but no where near a full glass pad. I think it's a good alternative to glass pads in general. I've used mine for a few months now and it still feels great.

    I think your take on a mousepad like the jet is a bit unfair to the pad itself. Im not saying I am an expert but I do have a lot of experience in both tac shooters and aim trainers, not a radiant player on val but still at a 400rr peak so I think my opinion isnt instantly discartable. Fast pads if used correctly offer a very different experience but also very beneficial to certain aspects of aim, ive been working on using fingertip micro adjustments and this pad has been sop much fun to use for that, I did lower my sens form 0.12 1600 to 0.1 1600 just to get the level of control I wanted too but I definetly think I still have the control I want to have, Its a much more fun pad to play with compared to slower pads that I tried before like the zero, aqua control 2 and GSR-SE. It does genuieinly have a place as a tac shooter pad.

    I got the fnatic jet, very good pad, not "silly" in any way, that's the best pad i got, i use is with tiger ice v2 and corepad air mouse skates which are also very fast, i am able to aim well in static scenarios as well as dynamic ones, i used slow pads before, but decided to try some faster ones, i got myself a cordura pad at that time, and at the beginning it was very hard to control, but over time i would be able to control it very well, so then i decided to get even a faster pad just for training aim.
    I ended up using it not only for that, and the scores i get in static are as good as the cordura pad and better than the slow pads(before i got the fast ones i scored similar scores on both mouse pad types, but over time the results started to favor the fast ones), i tried to play back with the slow pads i got but i ended up playing worst in static scenarios, used it in csgo and it was absolutely fine for me, the grip style also affects the glide, since both claw and palm grip will push the mice against the pad making it slower, for fingertip grip it's probably way too fast, but the other 2 grips which create some more force work good, so since i use palm grip it might be the reason, but still at the beginning it was hard. I tried many times to switch back to a slower pad when i doubt my extreme setup, but i always ended up playing worst, didn't like the glide, and also slower pads i got are all vacuum magnets, really never looked back after i got these pads(the cordura and jet). they just require training and a longer time to adapt than the standard slow pads, but once you get it they are very good.

      Thanks, I have the feeling that boardzy is kinda negatively biased towards fanatic gear. I just bought a jet myself, can't wait to test it!

    • @albertofernandez4425
      @albertofernandez4425 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tex69420 The 2 problems this pad has is that it's easy to damage, by damage i mean scratches and marks from folding, they aren't visible but you can feel them a bit with your finger, so just don't fold it when you're cleaning it or putting on the desk, i got the xxl size and by accident i folded it, it's not a big deal but just be aware(it's not like it's easy to do, but because it's the xxl size in my case it got stuck between 2 objects when i was trying to take it off to clean and i just folded it by accident, just be careful and nothing will happen), also the package for the xxl size is as thick as for the smallest size which is kinds messed up, but it lays flat mostly, the 2 problem are the fingerprints, it's a magnet, you get used to it over time.
      This pad it's a very specific product, clearly for a minority, but it's very resistant to moisture, i can even put a lot of water on it and i will still be able to play with a very similar glide, which on any glass pad wouldn't be possible, you can also use it without a sleeve and it has the xxl desk size, this pad is the best alternative for a skypad or any other glass pad, the static friction is faster then glass and you can still use it with glass skates(but you need to clean the pad often with glass skates), this and the pulsar xxl glass pad are the only desk pads with this kind of speed, i was thinking to get also the vancer ice v2, but it's just 450x450 or something like this.
      I used a lot this pad and i still say that's a good pad, but not for everyone, you need to tolerate the problems it has, it's also the smoothest pad to the touch i ever tried, just pure pleasure to work on it.

    I have the fnatic jet xd. love it though it's still not fast enough for me lol. the static friction is still a little too much. And, you're right about how dirty this thing gets. It's an upgrade over my last mousepad for sure though so i'll keep using it for now. I use ptfe skates so maybe switching to glass skates could solve the problem. Anyone know else know good speed pads? I'm looking for 100% speed.

    • @albertofernandez4425
      @albertofernandez4425 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      man don't get yourself glass skates on this pad, if you get any sweat the glide will be much slower, it's a liquid resistant pad, and after i washed it for some reason with glass skates from time to time i would get glue like glide, it was that sticky that no slow pad i ever used was, it's weird because i used the glass skates for 2 days and had no problems, but after i wash the pad the glide consistency got better, but i would get these weird glue like glide incidents for unknown reason. Get yourself corepad air or tiger ice v2, i used them both and they perform well and are very consistent.

    • @albertofernandez4425
      @albertofernandez4425 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also glass in generic is very inconsistent on any pad that gets dirty, you would need 2 pads and wash them every 2-3 days during summer, unless they are non liquid resistant then the sweat will not affect the glide immediately but over time it will be a similar thing. On the jet the dynamic friction wasn't that much faster, i can't tell if it was faster or slower, but the static friction was faster(the glass wasn't used enough to break in, so over time it gets slower), the ptfe skates are better really, glass you can use on a secondary mouse from time to time but i recommend as i said the corepad air or tiger ice v2.
      "Anyone know else know good speed pads?" That's the world fastest pad, the dynamic friction is a around 4% slower than skypad, but the static friction is 20% faster, there's nothing faster than the skypad and fnatic jet, and fro from what i heard the vancer ice gets slower over short period of time, but this was just 1-2 reviews i saw, so not enough data.
      Lamzu energon i would recommend, but it's much slower, still in the fast spectrum, it's very smooth to the touch, liquid resistant, but unluckily no desk size available.

    Are glass mousepads are long lasting without any problem? I hate to see worn out of cloth mousepad that I use and I hate the see dust on it. Which glass mousepad do you recommend?

    • @Lethal_Bite
      @Lethal_Bite 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glass pads last almost forever!
      Your mouse skates on the other hand, do not. Glass tears them up so you have to replace them regularly or you end up with a scratchy and inconsistent feeling. Also, dust buildup is something you can actually feel and it affects your aim rather than just looking bad on cloth, so you have to wipe it down before every gaming session.
      If that's all good to you, the pulsar super glide or the sky pad are both great options.

    If you're looking for a thick and soft pad that is very comfortable for elbows / wrists, you may wanna have a look at Fusionstrike original limestone desk mat. Been using it for 3 years personally and my friends, so far it's been great so we made a whole batch of them. Currently ship within UK but could sort out international shipment too. The rubber is made from sustainable limestone rock (instead of oil/petrol) which makes it more environmentally friendly than most desk mats out there. It's laminated with super stretch smooth nylon so it's mouse compatible and very gentle to skin.

    You're going to start seeing more and more clones of mousepads in the future. Back when RJN was growing there was a lot of innovation in gaming mice, but then the market settled in on 2-3 shapes. The same thing is going to happen with mousepads.

    Saturn has noticeably less static friction than the Zero. Meaning it's much easier to start moving the mouse, and thus also less stopping power. The Saturn feels sloppier, and it's not as easy to hit flick shots due to the lower stopping power.
    Saturn is great for tracking, but I will always recommend a Zero over a Saturn for any tac shooter because it provides noticeably more static friction and stopping power. So... more control.

    • @tinocabral4201
      @tinocabral4201 ปีที่แล้ว

      I second this until I got my Saturn pro in xsoft. I still think it’s easier to get the mouse moving but it has more stopping power than my zero. Though my zero is in soft so maybe xsoft would be even better. Both great pads tho

    In my experience. It is best for games like cod, battlebit, battlefield.
