- The Massassi Group was one of the most pivotal Rebel cells in the fight against the Empire. Led by General Jan Dodonna, they operated from the ancient Massassi Temples on Yavin 4, unknowingly using a site with a dark Sith history. Their famous squadrons, Gold and Red, played key roles in battles like Scarif and Yavin IV, proving that the Rebellion could stand against the might of the Empire.
From early struggles to decisive victories, this is the FULL STORY of the Massassi Group.

When rebels and rogue one were all coming out and these stories were all converging with a new hope was the best Star Wars we got in years
@@IdiotLord123456 love that whole time period. Not just in star wars history but in having new widely loved star wars coming at us
Great vid as usual ! I loved how Rogue One was so tightly tied to Episode 4. Red Five being killed, giving the callsign to Luke in ANH, the whole final scene, the aesthetics, the toned-down story that doesn't try to go on tangent on every occasion. It's my favorite Star Wars movie after ESB.
@@WillowExpensive6636 they really did nail the placement and slotting it into the existing universe. That should be the template for future movies. Do your own thing while making it part of the thing we all love
So funny on how the early drafts and later finish products, the good guys end up hiding in Sith ruins or other darkside locals.
" Emperor's sight clouded it was. "
@@krispalermo8133 you'd think the evil energy would've affected them. At least Luke. Especially if you go the legends route and that actually happens later when Luke's using it for his academy haha
Cool. Love to learn how the rebellion fits together, lot of different groups. Sort of why I enjoy Andor and Rogue One so much
@@nutherefurlong oh for sure! I never loved the art style of Rebels but the setting and stories make it so worth it
@@imperialremnantpodcast The character design didn't hit right with me in places but I didn't have a chance to watch it until recently, and haven't yet because I'm trying to do it in order. I stalled out on the Clone Wars but will try to get back before long. I like the early rebellion time period though so maybe that'll be motivation enough to get back to it
@nutherefurlong definitely stick with it. It took me three attempts to get into the clone wars, the first season is very kiddy. Now I love it. Rewatch that and rebels at least once a year fully and revisit individual storylines at times
@@imperialremnantpodcast Also I really feel bad for the clones. There are a few episodes that make them more human that I've seen so far and I appreciated those
@nutherefurlong ooph. Some of the storylines are gonna hit you hard haha. I fully agree though. They get so well fleshed out
