- If you’re a parent of young children and you’ve had a cancer diagnosis, you’re probably worried about how they will cope! In this video Devin talks about what it feels like to be the child in all this! As you can see, the hair is the main thing!! 9 months later all is well again and he isn’t traumatized the way I had thought he would be! We also sent him to play therapy - just to be sure!

Hi Dee, I also have two boys and I was diagnosed back in November 2010, my boys were 12 and 2 yrs old (at the time), and the main thing they worried about (especially my oldest) was me losing my hair.... 😢😦 this video just brought me so many memories from back then. 😣

Bless you and your family. ❤️ I lost my mom to breast cancer when she was 38. I was 5. I always remember her being “sick”. I also remember when my mom lost her hair and it also was scary for me! She never wore a wig, my sister and I would just use the wigs for dress-up LOL. Thank you for sharing your journey. I hope that you are doing well, and continue to do well.

My son is 10 and one morning I couldn’t move and needed to eat and he grabbed a muffin, made his own banana pudding (instapudding) poured it on top and sprinkled grape nuts cereal on top “for a crunch” as he put it. My son is a blessing during this time for me. I am fighting harder for him!

Hi Dee, your kids are so adorable. Being a mom taking care two young kids is no easy job! You are true inspiration. Just want to check on you and also ask you ever changed your diet by any chance. I have a family history of Breast cancer now I am trying to avoid soy, grains and focus on cruciferous veggies like kale and broccoli. I hope you eat a lot of kale and broccoli ( cancer fighting food) ( better organic as well) we are what we eat. ❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕 love.

I don’t have cancer but was really amazed on how you were so incredibly brave to share your story with thousands of people and teach us what the real journey is like. You have taught me so much including the menopause symptoms re gaining weight. This is so me! By the way you are such a beautiful Soul inside and out including you with no hair, short hair and long hair. Your little Boys are so precious! Your eldest is so cute with the way he kept on mentioning his dislike with the no hair faze and his way of showing him crying with the wahhh wahhhh, he reminded me of this little face.😭 Lots of Love and Light to you and your Family 🥰

As a parent myself, this is so sad to hear x you must be beside yourself. It isn’t right and it isn’t fair when it happens to children especially! I wish children were exempt from serious illness. I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through.

Your son is so cute. What a lucky Mum you are. I had breast cancer twice so twice chemo. I will always remember my youngest son's first notice "you will be bald and I won't be abble to invite any friend at home". I think all hospitals should offer cold caps to every female patient. I could get the cold caps twice ans it was a success twice. Every health insurance should offer cold caps when hospitals don't.
