Auto Finesse The Big Detail No:5 - BMW e36

- We are back with another no holds barred, big detail at The Academy, breathing new life into another retro classic, this time, it's the turn of the BMW e36 328i.
It all started with us announcing a competition to find the next car to undergo our top treatment at the Detailing Academy on our social media channels. The competition had begun, and 1000s of people entered by putting their car forward. From the 1000s of entries, we whittled it down to 10 we felt we could work with and put it to the public vote. Zachs e36 in Techno Violet took the lead against cars such as an early Porsche 964, a Stingray and even an MK1 Ford Escort.
So the day had come, and our friend Ash from RCR cars went up to collect the e36 from where the owner had been storing it. Monday morning 9am, and that's where the video takes it from.

Literally, Detailing to another level
Well apart from the headlight glass lense not being sealed properly, everything was done to perfection! Good Job guys!
Hey we are proud of our work but not to proud to show when we don’t quite get it 100. As said when it was previously mentioned we addressed this after. It was a simple fix, they have 4 little breather holes at the top of the back of the light (they aren’t a fully sealed unit) and a drop of dressing had run in and steamed up on first start up. Lesson for next time. We are always learning

They are held in with green grommets and clips, easy to change if they break!!

Great video, very surprised you don’t own or used a undercarriage pressure wand to clean the undercarriage but besides that very nice and enjoyable to watch, such an amazing work and dedication to perfection. Wow best Detailers on TH-cam that I’ve watched
Amazing work well done, can only imagine how much it would be to have 6 guys on a car for four days ;-)
A paid job on a normal rate hourly, most of these jobs would bill at almost, if not more than the cars value that we are working on. But that’s kind of part of the joy of it for us, to get stuck in on cars that perhaps wouldn’t normally get such attention, to show what detailing is capable of and push the boundaries.
This particular car was done for free as part of a competition we ran on our social media pages. So it didn’t cost the owner a penny, not the transport, the exhaust, the screen, not even the wash. Although him, his girlfriend and his mum were kind enough to bring beers for the whole team, and enough biscuits to see us through the next 5 of these jobs. That level of appreciation is actually priceless to us.

Prices on all well kept retro cars are flying - ZS coupe is now a hefty price tag for a decent one

Good question! The price tag can be whatever you want it to be. We don't do these jobs for that reason, look in to us and what we do, its all about us putting out products to test at the extreme end.
