Restoring a set of my dream wheels for my E36! OZ Futuras!

- A few months back I had the opportunity to purchase this set of original 5x120 17” OZ Futuras from my good friend Sebashtian down in Atlanta, Georgia. The wheels were in rough shape, but they were the PERFECT candidate for a full restoration.
These wheels have been on my bucket list for a decade, ever since I saw the homie Matt Waln cruising coastal highway in Ocean City in his LWB E38 on original spec 2-piece 19” OZ Futuras. That image has been burned into my brain ever since.
I don’t want to do too much talking here, I’d like to let the work speak for itself but, I’d like to give a special thank you to my boy Brayton (@focusedandfitted) for the incredibly accurate recreation of the original OZ Racing date stamps. The fact that this specific set of my dream wheels was produced on my birthday is just mind blowing to me.

My man's out here doing one of the dirtiest jobs there is - polishing aluminum - in a button down shirt. Insanity. Beautiful work man, these wheels are gorgeous, and the details show.
Also, placing those stickers behind the spoke, instead of between the spokes where it seems more obvious, is such a perfect, detail-oriented move. It's counter-intuitive but allows for maximum viewing angle of the sticker, and it's such an amazing tidbit that exudes a lot of thought behind it.
I appreciate the kind words bro! And I’m glad you noticed that about the stickers behind the spoke, that was something that had my brain going crazy for about a week while I was waiting for the stickers to arrive in the mail.
Like you said, I didn’t want to to be too “in your face”, but I still wanted it to be visible. Hence, behind the spoke opposite of the valve stem 🙇🏻♂️

There’s two different calibers of restoration work. This is the upper 1% right here. Not a single compromise. Love it man - Keep after it. Always stoked when I see a new flic in the feed. Ive been following along for a hot minute and you’ve never once been the “good enough guy” - always driving it home the extra mile.
