Lamborghini Countach gets a huge detailing treatment at the Academy.

We all have our heroes, as they say, you should never meet your heroes, and whilst we all dreamed when it was time for us to be united with the poster car of all poster cars we envisioned it to be painted white, and winding through the Italian countryside, wearing some shades and driving gloves driving at ridiculous speeds. When the opportunity arose to get up close and personal on a week-long detailing treatment on a freshly painted flat black, 25th-anniversary edition. Well, we weren't going to say no, were we?

All that work, simply to induce micro marring at the final stage when buffing off the polish dust with a micro fibre. Need to use an air line or vehicle blower to remove it, before spraying down with an IPA.

🤣 sounds like you need to invest in some better microfiber towels. How do you buff off polish residue, with air? 🤷‍♂️

@@AutoFinesseChannel Not the polish residue, the dust left on the surface from the DA. Doesn't matter so much at the cutting stage, but with the refining you need to be blowing off the dust with an air line of vehicle blower before buffing off with a microfibre. Not sure if this was a two stage correction or not but I imagine it was a single stage, whereby you need to be doing it right especially on soft paintwork. Happy to help more if needed!

Nope 👎 wax is king for old cars - Fact. It looks better and let’s face it it’s not a daily driver so doesn’t warrant a coating in our opinion.
