    Your explanations are always spot on. Perfection requires an ability to be adaptable. When we don’t know we improvise. It’s what brought us Neanderthals outside the cave. Nice work. Now go catch some fish. And well thank you for the good work you do. Cheers.

    Nice set up. Had the same "meh" experience with a new 40v lite. Just returned it because it cut out at the bottom of the hole about 50% of the time.. Got a new Ion alpha plus and love it so far.

      Thank you! And I’m going to go buy the Alpha as well and do a video on it. Always loved strikemaster but they’ve been outdone

      I purchased a 40v razor auger at the ice show. I hope I don't have that issue

      @@NicoleStoneOutdoors I was shocked with the weakness of the 40v, more shocked how awesome the alpha is.

      @@bobbybrooks5846 hoping you don’t. Mine was super weak. Did a video on my channel on how it cut. Really disappointed with it. The Alpha plus is leaps and bounds ahead of that 40v.

    This video was perfect timing because I've been struggling wiring my graph up to my sled, which is the exact same sled as yours but a year older, and you touched on how you did yours. Im glad you mentioned why you ran it to a separate battery, because I would have hated to find out the hard way. If you dont mind me asking, how/where did you run the wires to get them to the back of the sled to the battery? I'm gonna look into buying a spare battery to do just that. Any recommendations? Thanks for posting this video!

      Took the side of the hood off and ran it under the seat to the box. I just have a standard 12V 12 Ah battery that I use for the box lights and the graph. Losing the electric start battery isn't the end of the world because you can pull start it easily, but it's still just crappy to lose the electric start when you pay for a new sled, you know? It's a nice convenience feature to have.

    If u sell the 24v strike master I would be interested if u end up doing any fishing in north central Wisconsin. And if ur using the one lb propane tanks get the adapter from harbor freight or Menards sonu can refill them off the 20 lb tank.

    Use a nylon lock nut on the auger clamp adjustment. Won't be easily adjustable without a wrench, but set it once and probably will stop it from vibrating loose.

    No complaints here! Ha, ha. What a sweet way to be mobile! Those power issues definitely are constant thorns in the side of many people. It just doesn't seem like there is any standard. It always comes down to 60% of the time it works every time kind of thing with power sports.

    • @NicoleStoneOutdoors
      @NicoleStoneOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! And yea in theory I thought the sled would keep the battery charged but it didn't and I always lost my electric start. Pull starting isn't a big deal with that sled but it is a feature a person wants to take advantage of.

    Nice rig Nicole. I just purchased a Ram 1500 limited and a 7x12 enclosed trailer myself. What size trailer is yours and is it steel or aluminum? Mine is steel and pretty heavy. I can pretty much see my gas hand moving

    • @NicoleStoneOutdoors
      @NicoleStoneOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ooo limited! I'm jealous! Mine is steel and yep it sure sucks the gas and already shows rust. Mine is 7X16

      @@NicoleStoneOutdoors i bet you're not jealous of the payments lol? Its a 2019 with 38,000 miles still almost $50,000 its a beautiful truck tho. In 6 months I'm going to trade my trailer in for a 7x14 or 16 aluminum. I just don't know what the cons would be if any

    Add another battery under the hood with a bypass switch that isolates it from the machine battery when fishing. It won’t kill the battery and then after start up turn switch on to charge both batteries while machine is running, nice vid though
