    During this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will lecture on cholinergic receptors and the organs they will target when stimulated by Acetylcholine (ACh). Cholinergic receptors fall under two different categories including muscarinic receptors, and nicotinic receptors. This video will continue to build upon concepts learned during the parasympathetic nervous system lecture.       I've always struggled with the issue of words being inadequate to express my gratitude. I learned that sometimes, there are no words and only actions can appropriately express said gratitude. In this case, specifically, if all goes well and you become a doctor, I think the best thanks would be to let him know directly somehow. Maybe a DM, email or find some way to let him know that you made it, and let him know how helpful these videos were in getting you to that goal. I could think of no greater thanks in this case. And this way you can be sure he will see the message. Even if he doesn't reply.
      Best of luck to you in your endeavours. I don't know you, but I sincerely hope you can realize your goal of becoming a doctor, despite the difficulties you've implied. You owe it to yourself to succeeed. You deserve it.

    excellent presentation! One little correction: while nicotinic receptors are indeed present in sceletal muscle, the sceletal muscle is not actually controlled by the ANS!

    Dude that was a great video, thanks I literally have been studying for my pharmacolgy test and everything felt so scattered. I knew there were relationships and similarities that group certain parts together but I just couldn’t connect the dots. After watching your vid I definitely feel more confindent of the material!     I prefer you cover all the important things than trying to do the video shorter. I think is better by far a 1 hour video with detail and nice explanation and complete info than a 20 minute summary.

    All M receptors are expresed in practically all the cells. But, one type of M receptor may predominate in a tissue or cell. Nevertheless, very nice video!

    At 45:24, you say that M3 allows for defecation, by relaxing the sphincters. However, M3 is a stimulating (+) receptor; therefore wouldn't it contract the sphincters, rather than relax them?
