Balancing preservation and development: French Guiana | SLICE

Faced with demographic pressure, the Guianese must now tame this forest that they have long called the "green hell." Researchers, scientists and Amerindians are all looking to the forest to take stock of its flora and fauna, discover the molecules of the future and transmit the knowledge of the past.
