I would speak to your dr just to confirm when would be safe for you but so far I’m now 17 weeks and baby is healthy. If you are RH negative then your doctor is supposed to give you a RhoGAM shot to prevent your immune system from attacking the baby if the baby is from an RH positive father
Khichuri ( rice and lentils) Put your lentils(100gms) in water for half an hour, then wash the rice(200gms) and those lentils. Hot oil~fry chopped onions, chopped garlic, ginger paste, salt, green chilli~ after stir in a little bit ~ put those rice and lentils~ stir them well for a while~ put small amount of water to boil. Being a French person, cooking lentils is one of my to go dinner when I'm lazy. First, you wash them throughly in cold water. Then you put it in a pot with clean cold water. The water should be a centimer above you lentils level. Make sure not to put to much lentils in the pot, it "swells" when cooked. Now put a whole (not chopped) onion in the pot and put 2 cloves in the onion. Add some laurel leaves (1 or two depending on the amount of lentils and to your taste). Cook on low heat until tender. Add sea salt at the end. If there's not enough water, add some and drain when cooked. You can eat it with smoked sausages or normal or vegan sausages. You can let it cool down and make a salad out of it adding tomatoes and cucumber for exemple. That's the easiest way to cook it. Otherwise, you can make a curry out of it, cooking it with coconut milk and curry paste. xx

Hi there! I’m about 5 weeks in. I’ve been super hungry, too, but as long as you’re eating small meals, you can have healthy snacks in between meals when you get hungry! Almond butter on an apple slice with chia seeds on top is a really good snack! If you’re like me, you can also munch on sardines with lime, salt, and hot sauce! Very good for you and baby!

@@jmiey mostly not, only gets a bit uncomfortable when baby squishes into your internal organs, like bladder/kidneys and stuff. But it's mostly uncomfortable, it's more amusing then anything watching your whole belly shift from one side to the other
7 weeks pregnant. we had to terminate my first pregnancy at 22 weeks last year cuz of the complications to the baby. It was so traumatic. We are blessed to get pregnant again and this time hopefully everything turns out well. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

Yay for lentils! My favorite way to incorporate more lentils in my diet is to just add them in any time I'm making rice with a meal ...usually I will just switch half of the amount of rice I'm using for lentils or quinoa (I prefer lentils and rice with Mexican or Middle Eastern cuisine and quinoa with East Asian cuisine) I also like adding lentils to soups

Here’s my favourite lentil soupe recipe: Bring to a boil 1 cup of red lentil (to 1L of water) Add 1 diced onion, 1 diced potato, 2 diced carrots, 2 diced celeries Boil all together then add your favourite broth Once everything is cooked blend it with an electric hand blender, salt and pepper. Optional: A little bit of butter Bon appétit!

It's so easy to cook lentils. Just saute with olive oil and chopped onion for few minutes, then add water, chicken, beef or vegetable broth. Let it cook until tender. Add salt, cumin power and any other seasoning you might like, but make sure to add the cumin because it help prevent bloating and gases. I add chopped chard and or chopped spinach to this soup for more nutrition and it actually complement the flavor. Some people add carrots and potatoes. It's up to you. I sometimes saute fresh chopped garlic and chapped cilantro in olive oil and add it to this soup at the end. To eat it, you can serve it with homemade bread/sumaq crotons. I like my soup on the liquidy side, not too thick. So, for 1 cup of dried and washed lentils, I use about 5 cups of liquid. Some of that liquid evaporates during cooking. The amount of spinach and Chard can be determined by you based on your preference. Play with the ingredients to see which ones work for you. Tip: in the middle east, we sometimes add fresh dough, pasta sheets like to this dish. You could also add any type of small pasta to it halfway during cooking, maybe after adding the spinach and or Chard.

Stir and start cooking. Boil till the lentil (at this point you can stir and chcek on the lentil if split/soft- it's ready!
2nd pregnancy, here- I'm about 6wks along. But I'm 43yo & my 1st child is 17. It's been so long, since I was a Mama to a little one... I feel so out of practice! But I'm in a much better place in my life, now, than I was during my 1st pregnancy & I'm beyond thrilled to be expecting, again! 😄 Oh, & as for how to cook lentils: soak & sort dry lentils (to make sure there's no pebbles) in water. Drain, cook slow & low in a big pot with chicken or veggie stock (3-4x as much stock, as lentils- so for example, 1 cup lentils plus 3-4 cups stock) & whatever spices you like. You can also add in minced garlic, diced onions, celery, carrots, bell peppers, etc. Delicious!
Hello! Thanks for the information, I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with my first! As for lentils, I love making these dishes. They are so healthy and a good source of protein! Lentils in general are famous in the Middle East, it’s called “the meat of the poor” because it is high in protein and more affordable than most meat options! **************** The brown colored lentils are boiled for 15ish minutes (until they are not hard and are eatable) then I drain them and and cook them again with rice (can use any rice you like) add the amount of water you would add to cook rice with salt and extra virgin olive oil(the more olive oil you use the better). For the topping you can make caramelized onion. For a side dish make a salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, parsley, all chopped small with fresh lemon juice and a pinch of salt). ***************** As for red lentils, I love to make soup. I first wash and let them set for at least one hour (this makes them cool faster) I wash them multiple times. In a pan I add chopped onions with some extra virgin olive oil and fresh chopped garlic. Then add the washed lentils and stir together for about 10 minutes. Add water and some chicken broth spices, some coriander and salt). Cook until the lentils are almost dissolved. You can make it extra smooth by using a hand blender. Once cooked to your desire, add fresh lemon juice. You can have a side dish of white onion or green onion or pickles or bread or you can have all of them! Sorry if my instructions are not clear or need more details!

I’m 10 weeks pregnant and this video helped a LOT! I’m having twins and the nausea makes it hard to eat certain things, like water. I read about the small frequent sips but for some reason water triggers my nausea. Which is weird since normally I drink lots of water, but it seems that now that I need it the most I can’t keep it down.

I started out my pregnancy trying to eat healthy, but my morning sickness was triggered by fruit, even fruit flavoured things and drinks. I ended up in hospital with HG, unable to eat or drink anything, on an IV only for 10 days. Now I'm in my 3rd trimester and I still can't handle fruit, even though it tastes so nice to me.

Easy recipe for lentils is: 1 lb of green lentils, 32 oz of chicken broth, 1 package of sliced, browned kielbasa & season salt & ground sage seasoning. After browning kielbasa put all ingredients in a crockpot and cook on high 3.5 hrs. May need to add a cup of water if starts to get too dry.
Vegan here! Lentils are a staple. I love to eat lentils in lentil soup! So good. As well as I buy red lentil pasta which is a really good firm pasta made with 100% lentils and is a more nutritious alternative to regular pasta.
This was great information and entertaining 😝 I am 36 weeks pregnant (getting so excited 🥰🥰) and I have tried to be super mindful of making healthier food choices. I have always loved whole grains and veggies. We are big meat eaters too. I think a big one for me was eating more variety. I tend to just stick with foods I enjoy. I am trying to switch it up a little more with different vegetables/fruit etc. During this pregnancy a staple "craving" or just a food I have wanted to consume every single day would be dairy & bananas. I have always had a little milk and cheese here and there. But after around 5 weeks pregnant I brought a high protien natural greek yoghurt to have every morning. And also just a regular supermarket block of cheese for snacks. And I am STILL eating at least 2 bananas a day 😳😅 Another "craving" that I have been experiencing since around 32 weeks is lots of healthy fats. I've been wanting to eat wayyy more avocado, tahini, walnuts and oily fish. Which I enjoy. Walnuts are my FAVOURITE at the moment. So I am just listening to my body and trying to make healthy food choices for myself & bubby based on what I currently feel like in that moment. Sometimes its hard not to eat half a tub of icecream! But thats when I stop myself (due to not wanting a sugar headache later on) and reach for some fruit and yoghurt or glass of milk! Anyways omg I have rambled on 🙊😅 haha but thankyou again for such a great video! x
My husband and I have been trying for about a year. It wasn’t until we had a health scare and completely changed our diet to a modified carnivore diet with low glycemic index veggies and fruits that I was able to conceive. Could have been the change for him or for me, but it was 3 months after the change that we were able to conceive. Blessings for everyone’s pregnancy journey!
I’m 36. I started the carnivore diet in February, began trying for a baby in June, and became pregnant on the first try. I credit our success to my diet and using the Premom app to track my ovulation. I used the app for about 6 months before even trying to get pregnant, just to gain a deep understanding of my cycle. How I make lentil is i saute onions, carrots, spinach and then add lentils... Stir then add vegetable broth and put the lid on.. cook at medium low heat and for Like an hour. It all depends on if it's wet or dry lentils from can will cook faster... obviously.

I would speak to your dr just to confirm when would be safe for you but so far I’m now 17 weeks and baby is healthy. If you are RH negative then your doctor is supposed to give you a RhoGAM shot to prevent your immune system from attacking the baby if the baby is from an RH positive father
Khichuri ( rice and lentils)
Put your lentils(100gms) in water for half an hour, then wash the rice(200gms) and those lentils.
Hot oil~fry chopped onions, chopped garlic, ginger paste, salt, green chilli~ after stir in a little bit ~ put those rice and lentils~ stir them well for a while~ put small amount of water to boil.
Now enjoy with an omelet.

Being a French person, cooking lentils is one of my to go dinner when I'm lazy. First, you wash them throughly in cold water. Then you put it in a pot with clean cold water. The water should be a centimer above you lentils level. Make sure not to put to much lentils in the pot, it "swells" when cooked. Now put a whole (not chopped) onion in the pot and put 2 cloves in the onion. Add some laurel leaves (1 or two depending on the amount of lentils and to your taste). Cook on low heat until tender. Add sea salt at the end. If there's not enough water, add some and drain when cooked. You can eat it with smoked sausages or normal or vegan sausages. You can let it cool down and make a salad out of it adding tomatoes and cucumber for exemple. That's the easiest way to cook it. Otherwise, you can make a curry out of it, cooking it with coconut milk and curry paste. xx

Hi there! I’m about 5 weeks in. I’ve been super hungry, too, but as long as you’re eating small meals, you can have healthy snacks in between meals when you get hungry! Almond butter on an apple slice with chia seeds on top is a really good snack! If you’re like me, you can also munch on sardines with lime, salt, and hot sauce! Very good for you and baby!

@@jmiey mostly not, only gets a bit uncomfortable when baby squishes into your internal organs, like bladder/kidneys and stuff. But it's mostly uncomfortable, it's more amusing then anything watching your whole belly shift from one side to the other

7 weeks pregnant. we had to terminate my first pregnancy at 22 weeks last year cuz of the complications to the baby. It was so traumatic. We are blessed to get pregnant again and this time hopefully everything turns out well. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

i just found out im positively pregnant just 2 days ago. way to go me. drank alcohol and ate sashimi during new years celebration, flew back from vacation with diarrhea and almost passing out at the airport, took sugary electrolyte to recover and did really pass out on the drive back home. now, having the big dilemma since ive never liked eating avocado since childhood 😂 ohh the joys of being pregnant.

Yay for lentils! My favorite way to incorporate more lentils in my diet is to just add them in any time I'm making rice with a meal ...usually I will just switch half of the amount of rice I'm using for lentils or quinoa (I prefer lentils and rice with Mexican or Middle Eastern cuisine and quinoa with East Asian cuisine)

Bring to a boil 1 cup of red lentil (to 1L of water)
Add 1 diced onion, 1 diced potato, 2 diced carrots, 2 diced celeries
Boil all together then add your favourite broth
Once everything is cooked blend it with an electric hand blender, salt and pepper. Optional: A little bit of butter
Bon appétit!

It's so easy to cook lentils. Just saute with olive oil and chopped onion for few minutes, then add water, chicken, beef or vegetable broth. Let it cook until tender. Add salt, cumin power and any other seasoning you might like, but make sure to add the cumin because it help prevent bloating and gases. I add chopped chard and or chopped spinach to this soup for more nutrition and it actually complement the flavor. Some people add carrots and potatoes. It's up to you.
I sometimes saute fresh chopped garlic and chapped cilantro in olive oil and add it to this soup at the end.
To eat it, you can serve it with homemade bread/sumaq crotons.
I like my soup on the liquidy side, not too thick. So, for 1 cup of dried and washed lentils, I use about 5 cups of liquid. Some of that liquid evaporates during cooking. The amount of spinach and Chard can be determined by you based on your preference. Play with the ingredients to see which ones work for you.
Tip: in the middle east, we sometimes add fresh dough, pasta sheets like to this dish. You could also add any type of small pasta to it halfway during cooking, maybe after adding the spinach and or Chard.

Red lentils are the most simple to cook:
Simply wash 1/2 cup lentils till runs clear then place lentils in a small saucepan
Fill the saucepan up to cover the lentils about 2.5cm above the lentils
Add 1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 chopped onion
1/2 Bay leaf or any other herb. Stir and start cooking.
Boil till the lentil (at this point you can stir and chcek on the lentil if split/soft- it's ready!

Oh, & as for how to cook lentils: soak & sort dry lentils (to make sure there's no pebbles) in water. Drain, cook slow & low in a big pot with chicken or veggie stock (3-4x as much stock, as lentils- so for example, 1 cup lentils plus 3-4 cups stock) & whatever spices you like. You can also add in minced garlic, diced onions, celery, carrots, bell peppers, etc. Delicious!

As for lentils, I love making these dishes. They are so healthy and a good source of protein! Lentils in general are famous in the Middle East, it’s called “the meat of the poor” because it is high in protein and more affordable than most meat options!

The brown colored lentils are boiled for 15ish minutes (until they are not hard and are eatable) then I drain them and and cook them again with rice (can use any rice you like) add the amount of water you would add to cook rice with salt and extra virgin olive oil(the more olive oil you use the better). For the topping you can make caramelized onion. For a side dish make a salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, parsley, all chopped small with fresh lemon juice and a pinch of salt).

As for red lentils, I love to make soup. I first wash and let them set for at least one hour (this makes them cool faster) I wash them multiple times. In a pan I add chopped onions with some extra virgin olive oil and fresh chopped garlic. Then add the washed lentils and stir together for about 10 minutes. Add water and some chicken broth spices, some coriander and salt). Cook until the lentils are almost dissolved. You can make it extra smooth by using a hand blender. Once cooked to your desire, add fresh lemon juice. You can have a side dish of white onion or green onion or pickles or bread or you can have all of them!

I started out my pregnancy trying to eat healthy, but my morning sickness was triggered by fruit, even fruit flavoured things and drinks. I ended up in hospital with HG, unable to eat or drink anything, on an IV only for 10 days. Now I'm in my 3rd trimester and I still can't handle fruit, even though it tastes so nice to me.

Easy recipe for lentils is: 1 lb of green lentils, 32 oz of chicken broth, 1 package of sliced, browned kielbasa & season salt & ground sage seasoning. After browning kielbasa put all ingredients in a crockpot and cook on high 3.5 hrs. May need to add a cup of water if starts to get too dry.

Vegan here! Lentils are a staple. I love to eat lentils in lentil soup! So good. As well as I buy red lentil pasta which is a really good firm pasta made with 100% lentils and is a more nutritious alternative to regular pasta.
This was great information and entertaining 😝 I am 36 weeks pregnant (getting so excited 🥰🥰) and I have tried to be super mindful of making healthier food choices. I have always loved whole grains and veggies. We are big meat eaters too. I think a big one for me was eating more variety. I tend to just stick with foods I enjoy. I am trying to switch it up a little more with different vegetables/fruit etc.
During this pregnancy a staple "craving" or just a food I have wanted to consume every single day would be dairy & bananas. I have always had a little milk and cheese here and there. But after around 5 weeks pregnant I brought a high protien natural greek yoghurt to have every morning. And also just a regular supermarket block of cheese for snacks. And I am STILL eating at least 2 bananas a day 😳😅
Another "craving" that I have been experiencing since around 32 weeks is lots of healthy fats. I've been wanting to eat wayyy more avocado, tahini, walnuts and oily fish. Which I enjoy. Walnuts are my FAVOURITE at the moment. So I am just listening to my body and trying to make healthy food choices for myself & bubby based on what I currently feel like in that moment. Sometimes its hard not to eat half a tub of icecream! But thats when I stop myself (due to not wanting a sugar headache later on) and reach for some fruit and yoghurt or glass of milk!

My husband and I have been trying for about a year. It wasn’t until we had a health scare and completely changed our diet to a modified carnivore diet with low glycemic index veggies and fruits that I was able to conceive. Could have been the change for him or for me, but it was 3 months after the change that we were able to conceive. Blessings for everyone’s pregnancy journey!
I’m 36. I started the carnivore diet in February, began trying for a baby in June, and became pregnant on the first try. I credit our success to my diet and using the Premom app to track my ovulation. I used the app for about 6 months before even trying to get pregnant, just to gain a deep understanding of my cycle. How I make lentil is i saute onions, carrots, spinach and then add lentils... Stir then add vegetable broth and put the lid on.. cook at medium low heat and for Like an hour. It all depends on if it's wet or dry lentils from can will cook faster... obviously.
