    I'd be SO pissed if I spent $2,000 on an iron set and the badges were dinged up already. Is that tin?

    Of course we've heard of them ... Crossfield never shuts up about them! :)

    I have seen them. Did like the look of them. Really liked the look of them. Then saw the price.

    I would rather play the srixon z series. Srixon irons cheaper and look a lot nicer at a much more affordable price

    I have heard of the brand, Mark Crossfield put the driver in his bag, or it was in his bag a while back.

    Those irons look nice, the ones on the XXIO ad look like box set clubs.

    Just about to buy the xxio 11's . Very popular with local warehouse company. They originally produced their clubs for the moderate speed swing golf - 85mph. I've tried all the other makes but I've gone for these because they specialise for my type of swing and they have been doing it for 20 years. Very big in Japan and S.Korea.

    Ordered these two weeks ago. 5-PW. I’m a 9.2 handicap, I’ll post my findings once they arrive and I’m used to them. Good video by the way. 👍🏻

      Just to follow this up. Clubs arrived late September and I’ve only played two comps with them. Came with Modus 120 shafts (depending on your club pro, they can be modified), and now down to 9.0. Monsters! Feel is fantastic and as much as they are a bit thick at the top line at address, they’re easy on the eye. Very easy to hit, as Alex says, and I’m hitting the 7i 165 yards average.
      If you have Shot Scope or Arccos, they still fit in the hole at the top of the grip, which was a concern for me as a commuted Shot Scope user due to the counter weight.
      For me they bring Srixon feel to Cleveland playability, and I highly recommend them.
      All in, delighted with them. They’re either for you or not, but definitely worth trying them out.
      I bought mine via @graemebellgolf at East Kilbride golf club.

    Look like my Yonex ezone Pb irons, circa 2011. Lovely clubs only replaced with irons with less offset. Nice sticks

  • @johnp8131
    @johnp8131 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Tried an early variant of this make circa fifteen plus years ago, I'm not 100% sure but I think they were marketed as Srixon XXIO at that time. They weren't classed as premium clubs at that time either but after trying them I wasn't that keen and went for MX23 Irons, which were of a similar price?

    Xxio are top brand in Japan. I play the xxio forged 6, ns pro 930 stiff. Once of the best irons for mid handi player. I am 7 handi and tired mizuno pro, Callaway apex, honma x irons, but always go back to xxio forged 6. It is hard to find ns pro 930 shafts.

  • @gerrys123
    @gerrys123 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is brilliant marketing. 10, 12 years ago you could buy Dunlop Xxio boxed sets from Big W or K Mart for $250. They were in the same league as Maxfli, P.G.F and Slazenger. I must have missed the memo that suggested to add 2 zeros to the price. Have a look on Ebay. There are some pretty old clubs with very high asking prices.

  • @mikeb1149
    @mikeb1149 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well those X Blacks go for $1500 CDN a set or about $1650 AUS dollars. Don't know where that sits against the average cost of a set of irons down under, but here it is quite competitive pricing against the major brands like TaylorMade/PING/Callaway.
    They look nice, definitely have snob appeal if you like flashing your brand name stuff around, but oddly don't have a reputation for being high performing clubs. The matching driver would be $950 compared to say SIM or MAVRIK at about $650 or F9 at $350.

  • @Grunt21Tennessee
    @Grunt21Tennessee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Too expensive. If you don't like them, you would get probably less than half of what you originally paid for them. No resale value.

    First time I ever saw the XXIO brand was when i got a bag of used golf balls because you can @#$! right off if I'm gonna buy a dozen new premium balls just to buy them back a week later from the guy that sells me used golf balls.
    Oh right we're talking XXIO, i just called them the gossip girl balls, had no idea how to pronounce the brand before this video.

  • @davep2945
    @davep2945 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yep, XXIO is great. But every year at demo days when the Srixon rep has them side by side with the Srixons there is no difference in feel or performance but there is a world of difference in the price! Last year I bought the Wilson C300 forged which surprised me more than anyone. But in a head to head with XXIO, Srixon, Callaway, Ping etc.... the Wilsons just worked better for me.
