Thanks for watching everyone! If you'll be in Chicago for the marathon, you can join us for our pre-race shakeout run on October 6th! More details here: instagram.com/p/CxqO7FngBAe/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Hi Jeremy! I really enjoy your content and look forward to more of your videos. I’ve just recently discovered your channel after getting into running myself. You are very transparent and down to earth person. I hope your channel continues to grow. Maybe someday I’ll join a Wednesday run in Austin Texas.
Jeremy you’re an inspiration! I will be running my first marathon in 2 weeks. The majority of training & knowledge I have received has been through your channel! I can’t thank you enough and wish you the best! Maybe one day we will be running together until then stay hard!
Enjoy these videos a lot! Especially as a new runner. I got my order in for some switchback electrolytes and grabbed one of the remaining hats! Shipped really quick, thanks dude! Would love to pick up your red hat if you ever restock it!
Dude, I don’t live far from you and I can not believe you’re not getting out there earlier. It’s been brutal regardless but once the sun is up it gets exponentially worse. If Chicago is cool temps you’re gonna crushhh it
I definitely like to intentionally wait until a bit later so I can get some more miles in the sun/heat. It sucks for sure, but will only make me faster for Chicago! One thing to note about heat training though-it’s really easy to over do it and you don’t wanna be redlining all the time, that’ll just lead to over training and slower recovery.
Training in the heat and humidity should give you an advantage in cooler Chicago. Current forecast on marathon day is high of 65 degrees. At bit warm for a marathon but you will be prepared for it. Great video!
I just started running. I've ran a consistent 5 miles pretty easy. I upped it to 7 miles and my right knee is in so much pain for a week. I got brooks stability shoes because I supponate or pronate and it helped a ton. Did I up my miles too fast?
does your watch give you accurate in the moment pace? i use an apple watch and sometimes itll take a while to give me my pace so i have no idea if im going fast enough or not!
@@jeremy.miller i know, right?! I was jealous lol! Also met one of your athletes in the fruit section of a supermarket 😆 Anyways, BEYOND excited for your Chicago race!!! 2:44 LETSGOOO!!
Only person I’m really competing against is myself lol. Realistically not sure that I’ll ever be in the sub 2:20 category. But who knows! Just gonna keep taking it one race at a time, chipping away at the time
yeah unfortunately didnt have any masking tape around the house to had to resort to duct tape. And sadly the humidity was too much for the duct tape so couldn't use it anyways
@@jeremy.miller yerr, have my first marathon in like 11 days. A run all my runs in saucony speeds 3s , do you recon buying a super shoe will make much difference to my time. Cheers
Interesting to see if you can hit pace at the marathon when you can’t do it now. I understand it’s hot but seems like it will be hard to hit pace on race day if you have hardly done it in training. Body is not used to it at all

Great work Jeremy!
Awesome work bro. Sending you good vibes from Canada
Great video.
Best of luck.
Wow! I missed out on the hats! When are you restocking them?
it won't be for a little bit unfortunately. Around 8 weeks. But I'm launching some new hats on my personal site next week!
you put me onto the 2before pre workout powder just ordered a sample of the caffeine based mix. can't wait to try
Good workouts!

Incredible. Just curious, what was your first marathon time? And how old were you when you started?
I ran my first marathon in January 2022. I ran 3:00:54. I started getting into running in late 2018
@@jeremy.miller That's amazing, appreciate you sharing. Good luck in Chicago!
does your watch give you accurate in the moment pace?
i use an apple watch and sometimes itll take a while to give me my pace so i have no idea if im going fast enough or not!
yes. But I just look at the lap pace, not my current pace
Have you noticed a difference in body shape since starting running
Saw someone with switchback in Berlin - super cool!!!
No way?! So cool 😆

Saucony Endorphin speed elites vs Nike Vaporflys 3.. thoughts? Good vid btw!
I personally prefer Saucony. Nike is too narrow for me. And I prefer the foamy/cushiony feel of the saucony’s
i wish the endorphin elites had more color ways / size availability, i would honestly buy them if they had a more neutral color way in my size
@@tyroneeasy9804I know right!
Are you palnning to be a competing marathon runner?

Anyone else catch Nike Bare pulling in at like 22:00💀
Duck tape seems a little aggressive, but I use masking tape and works great.
Good luck in Chicago!!

Have you tried them asics metaspeed edge plus mate
I've tried the Asics Metaspeed Sky+, love them

To make the video 24:05 in length is a small detail I appreciate
Where’s the hat from?
The black hat is by Switchback. We actually just sold out of them. The red is hat is mine, available on my website
Chicago is going to have a lot more hills than your cul-de-sac. Good luck out there
this is definitely false lol

"Puh-taders and sweet puh-taders"
20 miles with 75 degree dew point. haha, holy freaking smokes
It was gnarly lol. Can’t wait a cool, dry morning in Chicago
Shout out Nick Smith's milk and nuts
she needs to get a chuck eye potroast, rump is a worse cut
