I feel the need to reference the saying "We don't owe you anything." an all too common phrase when a woman is criticized for literally any flaws even if she lies and manipulates and cheats others to get what she wants. It comes back to the societal norm that women get to pick and choose the right man, and he has to be the absolutely perfect, manufactured, ideal mate while men are just expected to settle for whatever woman is interested in him.
"Men who cry are unattractive", "Men who don't earn six figures are unattractive", "Men who are under 6ft are unattractive", "Men who are less than 5 inches are unattractive", "Men who are nice guys are unattractive" but then gets dumped and regrets it later, etc. This is why a lot of women nowadays deserve to be single.
She's under the impression that women crying is attractive. It's not. Crying isn't supposed to be attractive. It's usually an indicator that someone is emotionally distressed. The natural response to crying is help the person to stop crying.
Yep. You got it. Crying is an unattractive trait in both genders. People who say you have to open more are most of the time illegible to deal with the mess and fix it.
I like that. I feel that as humans we are social my nature and are good at reading other people crying, smiling and basically any emotion is a part of how we talk to each other like what else were we doing before spoken language besides reading each other's expressions and feelings. We're actually cruel to each other because we became too smart for our own good of course in the past you wouldn't want someone in your tribe to be in destress because it affected you too. We actually needed each other to survive if you were not okay we would help you because it makes everyone's situation better now people don't even wanna acknowledge that.
Honey, if you want a man who is stoic and cold and unexpressive and unemotional, you can HAVE it. It's not hard to find. They're the ones who can smile charmingly to your face and hide the knife behind their back at the same time.

Hence why I don’t cry to anyone not even my mom. When I did get emotional my mom always said “you have no reason to cry because I have it worse” so I built up this thing where I can’t allow myself to be sad and hold it in because I’m afraid people might to take it as a pity game or I’ll be seen as weak. I never cried when at my grandmas and stepdads funeral and I could cry when my mom was “probably” dying from a panic attack. It sucks that it’s my socially ok for me to express myself without it being a stress case. I’m 21 years old and I plan on getting my masters in therapy soon, but I feel like I need to be in tune with emotions if I plan on bettering myself. For the guys who have people that are ok with you expressing emotions properly, I envy you.
My mom would call me a girl and tell me to stop crying 'cuz im a boy, "If you dont stop crying then I'll give a real reason to cry!" My mom would always say that, if I didn't stop crying then they'd lock me up in my room, sometimes even hit me. I only cry myself to the floor in the bathroom, or just anywhere as long as there are no people around me, if they did catch me crying, or even just getting a *little* stressed, they'd say that they had it worse, and that they're stressed everyday. They'd get mad at me when I complain a little or cry.
do not care about people who say something like "you have no reason to cry because i have it worse" they are probably the people that are the most toxic in your life, even if they had worse pain, you can still cry to express your pain, nobody needs to stop you from crying for a good reason, also nobody should gatekeep pain because everybody has a breaking point of pain which is emotionally, mentally, and physically
@@shoebox9869 well your mother is a toxic person, what i would do is to find an apartment that you can buy, then move there, and then do not talk about your mother or to your mother, then you'll have your life more cleaner from toxicity
Imo crying isn't weak but letting others dictate your emotions out of fear of criticism is. Live your life free as you want, even if the whole world is against you.
It's just moving the goal post to me. For decades we've heard girls say men should be more emotional and they love a man that can cry. Now that men started doing that you have women like this saying it's unattractive.
So basically feminism and every other activist group in history. Currently BLM and Antifa symbolise this the best, it's never enough. While in the past it was femisnism and LGBT activists.
I would say the majority of girls feel like that towards emotional men but they just don't admit it or flat out don't know But this is just a theory, a game theory
My god, that chick has some incel-level expectations of men. I hate it when women like this treat men like they should just be a bunch of emotionless robots while still bringing up the talking point that women are objectified in society. In the end, sexism cuts both ways.
Nah. I genuinely want someone to spill their emotions. Especially since I know what it's like to try to hide them out of fear, & bc I'm more of a listener. Guys who only shed tears without moving a facial muscle are what's creepy, as it means you don't want me close to you or you don't want me to help you. It's inhuman almost. Also... I'm just touch starved and would take any excuse to hold a person 💀.
Crying is a Sign of Strength, Not Weakness. Holding back your emotions because of judgement is weak. Truly Expressing yourself doesn't make you weak. Emotional development is necessary.
This why I hate double standard stuff like this. I want a man that are unemotional but as soon as you say ,you want a women that keeps her shape you get cancelled.

I know from being a shop(mainly in automotive, construction, manufacturing classes)kid most guys I worked with wanted a nice lady to work for and have a family in the future and seeing how some of the women slammed them for that is very upsetting. This girl I was dating, told me she's never seen me as vulnerable, so I opened up about how my grandmom's death affected me. I almost cried explaining that, and she told me the next day that she felt weird. This isn't so bad, but it shows they're not really sure about what they want on this topic. Another friend of mine shared his childhood trauma with a girl, and she used it against him months later to "win an argument". Disgusting stuff... Never share anything with a girl.... unless you've already put a ring on her. Even if you've done that, be very careful
ive heard somewhere take this with a grain of salt or an idea, but its that they say they want u to open up to test you and if you do open up then u fail the test. its like making sure ur not weak emotionally or something. probably not true and a dangerous way of thinking tho.
Women like men who lead. Being vulnerable shows weakness and not being the "leader" she wants in her head. Sad but that's just the reality. There are many examples of this online.
There are girls out there that are normal man, it all comes to knowing who are you dealing with. Dating someone isn't just bringing her/him to a cool place, it's a stage where you gather informations, is she a toxic person? Disagreeing with her means that we're in for a fight? Are our tastes similar? If don't, are we willing to at least not shame the other because of their tastes? Can I really trust her? If everything is okay, THEN you can think about starting a family with this person Someone that isn't willing of supporting you during a hard time don't deserve you, and specially not someone that is willing to bring up a trauma just to "win" an argument, That's disgusting.
Bro girls don't know how to deal with a guys feelings cause I think like the way they feel emotion and us it's different like they don't know what to do because they can only see it from their point of view like as a guy me talking to my homies we already know that he doesn't want to be smothered with ice cream and tissues he's just talking bout his feelings if a guy cries it just means it hurt him a lot but you just need to give him space to pick himself up cause guys already expect life to be harsh it's why we do the hard things in life cause we know it isn't nice. Girls are comforted because there not actually supposed to know just how cruel life is. It actually makes me happy to see a women just smile and not have to see just how black the world can be cause it's my job to deal with that reality. You can just enjoy you life knowing Imma do everything I mean I believe that's how nature wanted it to be. They shouldn't have to worry about how they're going to survive and I'm happy to do it cause what else am I living for then to make sure the ones I love live a good life.

Yet being the one to return home knowing that any moment, your loved ones could have never heard you again. That thought is truly something to cry about.
Women are always encouraged to show their emotions and when they do nobody can criticize them because you just can't. Same for men but the difference is we get laughed at and those same women who say we should be open about them are using them against us.
My ex-girlfriend once emasculated me for being too emotional after I broke down in tears in front of her after a particularly stressful day. She said it “turned her off” to see me that way... when previously she had told me it was okay to cry in front of her once in a while, since it’s something I never did. This is why we close up, why we’re scared to open up, why we never show soft sides, this stigma has to be broken down, we’re in an era where as man is not allowed to be human, emotions are emotions, bottling them up just makes our reactions twice as bad, from personal experience this is why we never show our soft sides to the world…. We must break down this wall of stigma to finally live as we’re supposed to…. There’s no point in ruining ourselves just because the world doesn’t like us showing emotion, let a man cry in peace without glances, without judging looks, or disgust, let us be HUMAN.
I don’t know if i can really talk about this seeing I’m not male, but honestly I feel really bad for guys when they are treated like this. I see all the time how these sorts of things happen, both in person and online- and it really pisses me off because it’s just simply not fair and it just doesn’t make sense. That’s all from me though, I probably shouldn’t be talking about this anyway.
@Incased_pol I suppose so, but it’s just that I don’t feel i have the same level of insight as some of you guys might have, that’s all. However you do make a point with it potentially being a good thing, I just don’t think it’s up to me to talk about it- mostly because the only experience I have with it from the male perspective is friends venting to me, and because I don’t have the same experiences to talk about as you guys might have. Besides, I am only in these comments to show support for those that need it and to let you guys know that someone is listening.

One correction: throughout history, there have been many points where men showing emotion and crying was not only acceptable but even romanticized. The whole romantic period in art is proof of this. Russian society was often very sentimental; ect...
Also, in ancient Roman and Greek literature crying wasnt necessarily connected to weakness, rather would it have been perceived as very cold-hearted and somewhat inhuman if a man didnt cry about a bitter fate, even about the bitter fate of someone else (at least until stoicism had become popular). And making the (male) audience cry is basically what the old Greek tragedy sought to do.
@@imbricitor yup! Literally in the first pages of the Illiad, Achilles cried to his mother. The context in which he cries however is manly, since he has given up his wife to Agamemnon for the betterment of the Helenites; and rightfully cries out at the injustice. This is why I don't date. Women prefer mindless automatons that give them attention and money I guess. Yet at the end of the day, they want emotional support from men.
I’m a guy who has severe depression. Every now and then I have nights where I cry, not for any specific reason, I just need to cry. Sort of a metal breakdown. If you find that unattractive, uhh mmm don’t care.
As a female that is emotional i say that it is alright to cry of course women like this aren't worth it and saying you should hide your emotions for the sake of being "manly" is unattractive to me
And then you have women worse than her. Many will say to a guy/their guy “You can be vulnerable with me” and then get turned off and say “See ya” after he has or even worse and use it against him later.
One correction at 3:00. She didn't say she'd be turned off for that. She said "I'd be turned off unless something traumatic happened like we were on the Titanic".
Some women need to learn they guys have feelings too if you keep holding in your emotions you will eventually just burst as an pretty emotional guy myself I have been affected by this a few times just remember is ok not to be ok.
The thing is, men hiding their emotions in the past and even now has lead to men becoming alcoholics and drug abusers. This ends up leading to a worse situation for the woman because that man could become abusive to her as well. I’m sorry that i want to keep a stable emotional state so that i don’t become a potential abusive husband.
Telling men that they shouldn’t cry, and that showing any other emotions other than manliness is a sign of weakness, is a reason why there is a high male suicide rate
I think having good control over your emotions can help in heat of the moment situations, but to learn how to control your emotions you've gotta experience them first, you know, cry out your tears until there are none left.
Personally as woman, men who are brave enough to show their emotions are attractive to me. I’d rather have a man who is open to expressing their emotions and feelings to me than have a guy who is emotionless and has no feelings. Everyone is human, everyone has the right to cry, be upset and angry about things. Men if anything need to do this more…. Because if I’m not mistaken they’re the ones raised to bottle up their emotions and suppress their feelings… it’s unfortunate but it’s true.
Oh boi😂here we go with the male tweets because Tod broke her heart and Twitter is the only place where she's able to cry in front of simps. If I'm emotional I might cry.
Thank you for stating the truth man, i'm really grateful that there're people that actually think like this. Keep up the good work, hope you get better fast :).
Tbh, let’s be honest. Even the woman defending men in this situation loose feelings quick when a guy shows emotions. It isn’t really an opinion, that’s just an unfortunate part of being a man trying to date woman

So I've met quite a few borderlines in my life. For anyone that doesn't know that just means someone that has borderline personality disorder. Despite the fact that it's difficult to maintain a friendship with a borderline, I don't regret it. It's taught me a bit about understanding, empathy, and not letting someone's flaws outweigh their beauty. And I don't mean appearances, I mean the amazing person that they are in spite of the instability the disorder causes. What is the point of me saying all of this? Well in my experience emotions are meant to be "attractive" or a "turn-on." They're meant as a way for the brain to express how it's feeling. You should neither ignore them nor let them control you, there is a balance. They are complicated and difficult, but if you let the minor bad parts hinder all of the good parts of a person then you are missing the point.
It's true. They claim we should be "sensitive" but the moment we express our pain, we're looked down upon. We don't get sympathy. That's why strength is useful.
I don't understand why this is a problem. Everyone has emotions, it shows their human. I personally find men who show emotions attractive. It shows that you have empathy and that your a human being. She doesn't deserve anyone.

I feel the need to reference the saying "We don't owe you anything." an all too common phrase when a woman is criticized for literally any flaws even if she lies and manipulates and cheats others to get what she wants.
It comes back to the societal norm that women get to pick and choose the right man, and he has to be the absolutely perfect, manufactured, ideal mate while men are just expected to settle for whatever woman is interested in him.
based
"Men who cry are unattractive", "Men who don't earn six figures are unattractive", "Men who are under 6ft are unattractive", "Men who are less than 5 inches are unattractive", "Men who are nice guys are unattractive" but then gets dumped and regrets it later, etc. This is why a lot of women nowadays deserve to be single.
How to get most girls to love you in a few easy steps?
1. Be a terrible human being.
2. Repeat.

If everything is okay, THEN you can think about starting a family with this person
Someone that isn't willing of supporting you during a hard time don't deserve you, and specially not someone that is willing to bring up a trauma just to "win" an argument, That's disgusting.

This but with my parents. Everytime i showed sadness or when i was angry and cried, i was told to be quiet or they made fun of me. This impact me to this day because i hold a lot inside me, so when it comes out, it comes out in a extreme level.
I am a man and I am proud to say I do cry. And I have a fiancée that encourages me to show my emotions. I feel lucky to have a woman like that in my life and she likes it when I show my emotions and has always been there for me when I'm having a bad emotional day
I feel so bad for men because of woman like this 😭😭
Thx :c
This is why I don't date. Women prefer mindless automatons that give them attention and money I guess.
Yet at the end of the day, they want emotional support from men.
Men and women don’t understand that they both get as much sexism as each other
This is why people give up on dating and love
I’m a guy who has severe depression.
Every now and then I have nights where I cry, not for any specific reason, I just need to cry.
Sort of a metal breakdown.
If you find that unattractive, uhh mmm don’t care.
As a female that is emotional i say that it is alright to cry of course women like this aren't worth it and saying you should hide your emotions for the sake of being "manly" is unattractive to me
As a woman, I think men showing their emotions is attractive
This ^
I think the same.
It's very attractive and everyone should be able to show emotions, regardless if it's "attractive" or not
@@qtaroluvr Right, there's no shame in that.
I have seen woman say this and end up feeling the opposite when it actually happens. I am not calling you a liar, simply pointing it out
And then you have women worse than her.
They will say we have “toxic masculinity” then say stuff like this, hypocrites
Bruh it gets so bad some men don't even know how to express their emotion at all, even to themselves or out loud
Yo genius, you missed the fact she said UNLESS you're dying on the Titanic.
Why is she thinking about turn ons when on a sinking ship that if you won't drown, freeze to death? Especially if you don't know if help will come?
Telling men that they shouldn’t cry, and that showing any other emotions other than manliness is a sign of weakness, is a reason why there is a high male suicide rate
Yup...
I highly doubt that a man would be thinking about the girl not finding him attractive when he's going through something that makes him cry
Definitely the last thing most women are thinking of as well 😂 When my BF cries, the last thing I’m assessing is his attractiveness. I just wanna help
I just wanna say these are the same people who complain about not being able to get a date or a “good man”
I think having good control over your emotions can help in heat of the moment situations, but to learn how to control your emotions you've gotta experience them first, you know, cry out your tears until there are none left.

Factual. I've always said if you need to get something off your chest, tell your best bros. Never tell your girl about your issues
She can live alone or marry a sociopath, but I think even a sociopath would have the sense to avoid her.
what if a friend has cancer? Is it ok to cry then because your worried to the point that you cant focus/concentrate
seriously, some people are dumb imo
So they want a sociopath pretty much....
Playing devil's advocate... she said UNLESS there was a traumatic event. Not If there was a traumatic event.
I don't understand why this is a problem. Everyone has emotions, it shows their human.
I personally find men who show emotions attractive. It shows that you have empathy and that your a human being. She doesn't deserve anyone.
Now if I or any other guy was to say
“This girls emotions are unattractive like I just went on a date with her and she crying to me about her dead dad like tf that gotta do with me I’m tryna relive the memories of all 3 spider men on screen” We’d be in the wrong 💀
As my mother always told me, "the biggest mistake to do when a woman is complaining is to solve their problem"
