Funny you should publish this. I created my first character and I made those skills high for the sole purpose of surviving by taking other peoples stuff. Since I figure everyone is hunting other people then I am safest if I am not sitting but actively hunting the hunters.
Your awareness goes up a slight bit for each new item that comes on your vicinity. So cutting bushes and long sticks to small sticks is the easiest way to level it up because there are so many sticks that comes in your vicinity.
You can increase your awareness skill by looking at any new pickable object. If you kill a puppet and search it, your awareness will go up as soon as the objects spawns around the puppet body. You can also chop the puppet and each new part will increase your awareness too. If you are really into leveling awareness fast, you can cut every little piece of clothing into rags and stripes after you search it... You can get around 100-200 points for every puppet. Trees will do the same. Basically, every time your character sees a new object, the awareness will go up.
Dude the guy at the end simply standing in front of the tree witha white outfit... Wow i couldnt see him at all when the giy asks but after pausing it you can clearly see him standing there thats so cool
Hey Ray, That clip is REALLY old (from alpha I believe). Also, I'm not sure if it's changed in recent updates, but leveling awareness was based on when your prisoner actually sees items in the world (indicated by the blue glow around the item). Leveling awareness used to be disabled in online servers (but it did level in solo games) because it was extremely easy to cheese level it just by killing an animal and butchering it up into the most number of items possible, which used to be a massive amount of items. Then you could log in and out repeatedly and every time your character registered those items, you'd gain 1 point in awareness for each item there. This may have changed in recent updates because the number of items has been drastically reduced as well as how items are loaded and despawned. I used to always give my prisoner max. awareness at character creation purely because it couldn't be leveled in online games. Leveling camo could be done by standing in a push for 6 seconds and then crouching for a second and standing up again, as well as just crouching in a bush would gain 1 point per second. As someone else said already, leveling stealth could be done by crouch auto-walking into the internal corner of a building. Cheers.
IIRC you can improve awareness more quickly by chopping up a load of animals and looking at all the individual pieces - each piece that turns blue as you scan across it increases awareness.

yeah. Easy skills to level (like survival) it's better to take basic level and grind to advanced, but grindy skills like camo and stealth it's not really worth investing a lot of time in, so better starting off a bit higher at character creation.

Game is still broken in many many ways. Item/inventory is super buggy. And many simple things are just too damn tedious and time consuming for no reason what so ever.
In focus mode you can also see blood trails from hunted animals, say you hit a deer with a arrow or spear and it runs. You can focus mode and it will show the blood splatter and the severity. I am not sure but it would make sense that searching the blood trails may help raise it because you can only see it in focus mode I believe. Will test in a little and return the information. Since last update animals and puppets have been barley around. Even maxed both and even took off puppets from spawning in buildings and still maybe 3 puppets here and there kind of a kick in the but as we were hoping for hordes. Great video!

Hey I know this is an older video but can anyone please tell me how the graphics look soo amazing? I just got the game in 2021 and on epic is doesn’t look this good!? What’s the difference or I should ask Raykit what graphics card did you use here or what settings!?!? I want to see this game like this too!
Settings both in game and through nvidia/amd providing your not running the game on a potato graphics card. Alot of these settings designed to make the game lòk better end up making the game look worse .
You can train awareness by dropping things on the ground. If you look in a box and find something. Pick it up briefly and let it fall to the ground. That gives you 5 points. If you have a backpack full of stuff you can take each thing out and drop it and it gives 5 points. Do it in a bush and I guess you train camo at the same time.

Stealth, Awarness and Rifles on Advanced with Camo on Medium + some basic tactical knowledge and you can easily wipe out small groups of people (3-4). With friend even bigger ;)
Camouflage is just so easy to level up, don't bother putting points in it at char creation, just gotta afk prone in grass at base and you'll have it in advanced in no time.

why did this guy not appear to me untill he was literally 5 feet in front of me that seem so stupid and unrealistic its not even fair I lost a kit id just spent 5 hours piecing together. I created my character with the highest possible awareness you can start with and still could not see him until he was right on top of me. And he was not crouched or anything he just popped out of thin air in the middle of the street in front of me
U haven't tested out what would happen with advanced/medium/basic awareness to see camouflaged player (also how its levels will effect it), how will it be looked like from the awareness perspective, the distances etc. Indeed this video should get copyright infringement because you almost did nothing to test it but got away with 15k views, lame.

Cool video, did'nt know how well this system worked, another reason why this game is the best out there. can't wait till it hits full release.

I did a double take at 7:00 and paused it, I was wasted...
I think camoflash can also go up when you lay on the ground and move around.

It's 25 XP per like 3 seconds, so it goes up pretty fast.
