    3 EASY HACKS TO LEARN THE FRONT LEVER - PROGRESS FAST
    This video shows how to learn/improve your front lever. Unlike other tutorials the 3 hacks you see in this video you probably haven't seen or heard about them before.
    The front lever is a shoulder extension movement. This means your lats are working the most to help hold you up. Developing a strong back will improve your chances of holding a full front lever. On the other hand even if you have crazy relative strength and can do heavy weighted pull ups you would still need to practice certain progressions to obtain the full front lever.
    Try understand the principles on how i train the front lever
    1. Mechanical advantage principle 0:14
    2. Regress to progress 1:25
    3. Pulling strength exercises 2:30

    This is what I love the most about calisthenics. There's always something to learn and it's all about progression like martial arts.

    The tucked "rows" combined with the explosive pull ups and low row "static hold" looks fantastic and REALLY gives me inspiration and a challenge in my Front Lever journey! Thank you! 👍🏻💪🏼

    Hey mann great video , I am currently working on front lever and here in India we have lockdown so we are mostly at home so can you give me a tip on how I should train . I mostly do pull- push and legs and core routine so should I practice front lever before my pull session or should I divide it and practice front lever In small session throughout the day like 12pm - 3 set then 3 pm -3 sets and 6 pm 3 sets . Which approach is better according to you

    • @AbnormalBeings
      @AbnormalBeings  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I’d say if you aren’t a complete beginner then yes smaller sessions through the day is optimal. This technique is called greasing the groove and it works really well for a lot of calisthenic skills

    do you do weighted pullups? Or only harder variations of pullups to increase strength

    • @AbnormalBeings
      @AbnormalBeings  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer weighted pull ups. Keeps it simple and I can progressively overload in small increments. Other various of pull ups are great too like assisted one arm pull ups etc.

  • @KastoeKrab
    @KastoeKrab 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Pro tip: skip the awkward tuck on straight bar with only touching the shins lol. Thats a really amateur move bro. Stick your legs upwards, like in a L position. This way you are still in a tuck position but piked instead of tucked, this way no legs will hit the bar.

    • @AbnormalBeings
      @AbnormalBeings  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No That’s basically the adv. tuck when you have your legs in an L position. So as a Pro tip I would recommend Shin to bar still or the parallel bar tuck rows

    • @KastoeKrab
      @KastoeKrab 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AbnormalBeings nah man i got to be honest with you: being in an inverted L like " ___| " is just like tuck except with your legs extended above you and not tucked into your chest. It only becomes more of an advanced tuck the second you decide to break the L shape and bring your legs more horizontal. Check out fitnessfaqs he also made the same mistake but corrected it :)

    • @AbnormalBeings
      @AbnormalBeings  3 ปีที่แล้ว
