I do love Dark's disregard for more players. He definitely seems like he has better things to do than play a full macro game against everyone but the top 1 or 2 players of any race. So he goes straight to some ladder cheese, and he closes games out with quick low effort play.
Hero really is the anti showtime. His defense usually lets much to desire and he cant keep zerglings out of his base for the life of him, but he does have great offensive capabilities. I just really wish he would put in the work and clean up his early game, that would help him so much.
I love how Her0 just fully understood he could get a few zealots in behind the wall, take out the missile turrets and just completely flip the game on its head with one warp prism. Her0 better than any other top-tier pro knows what its like to lose a game from leaving your wall open. I liked TY's strat if maybe he somehow got enough money to build the iron bank and kept the wall up maybe that tank heavy comp would work.
Sometimes you have to sacrifice units like zealots and stalkers in favor of producing other higher level units...they're Kamikaze units, so whatever damage they cause is just a bonus to their sacrifice
Hey Winter, here's a suggestion, can you cast old school sc2 games like way back then, with players like Huk, Stephano, MVP, Life and etc. Just like the Bronze League Heroes, you can call that segment 'Old School Classics" that would be awesome with you casting it.
I wonder if we could bring back the valkyrie attack from brood war for the liberators? I love/miss the rapid missiles. Just from a spectacle and love of over the top attack animations. Maybe take away the thor missile AA and give that job to the liberators? I too would like to see more siege tanks and vikings. Also, as a terran myself, I think ghosts are too strong because they have the answer to all matchups, from a design perspective. The snipe answers all (not efficiently against small mass produced but the autoattack kind of does) zerg stuff and some of the more dangerous protoss amd the EMP works well against the spellcasters as well. EMP is way too good against Protoss, IMO, because it takes out energy and shields, things lots of Protoss units need, and like I said before snipe takes care of some dangerous units as well. Nuke is good against what Terran is famous for, siege and defense. While this may not be what actually happens in most games it is a good counter to it, emp and snipe are less useful but have places. Its weirdly the only matchup that the ghost isn't the be all answer. This isn't a balance complaint because I don't actually play SC2 but I would like to watch games of TvP and TvZ where ghosts aren't the MVP unit. The ability to cloak on top of it is just kind of the insult icing on the injury cake. I think splitting up some of these duties to the raven would be ideal because ravens are good but not used as much because ghosts are so much better in these matchups. I like the ghosts having a snipe ability because it fits so well. I think switching EMP to something else would be ideal. Make them assasin units and give them a mine ability like a single target mine that prioritizes energy bar units or something so they have a usefull backline ability and give the raven the AOE stuff. IDK switch the EMP and interference matrix so the ghosts are single target and ravens are aoe. I just don't like the EMP against protoss because it's seems really lame to see the protoss making a push and then a couple EMPs force the retreat. I think if antiarmor missile from ravens gave a percent based damage increase to shields only and didn't have the antiarmor effect on shields it would be more interesting than EMP and it still keeps its regular effect once shields are gone. That way its an answer to protoss shields but for any unit comp but still favors rapid firing units for the hp part of the protoss. Doesn't change the other matchups either. I guess the loss of the ability to drain energy is annoying but it does seem secondary to the main effect. The place it loses is the answer to zerg spellcasters but snipe also does that. I think if EMP were gone it would open up the ability for snipe to be buffed/changed. Maybe it has a small target AOE, just for targeting not AOE damage, and it prioritizes the energy units and if there aren't any it targets the highest hp unit. It makes it better against the bio based spellcasters and keeps the utility of taking out high value nonspellcaster targets but doesn't require as much precision as I think that's why EMP is used against zerg spellcasters over just sniping them. I think SC2s biggest misstep was when LotV was so focused on those big micro spectacle moments. It was trying to compete with MOBAs constant action for spectators and MLG purposes, but I think it went overboard when combined with the starting worker count increase and lowered resource amounts on bases. I think that change was all that was really needed to make the game more exciting to watch because it sped up the start of the game and made it less likely for people to die from early eco damage so being more aggresive was much more viable. Combined with the need to expand more and quicker I think even HotS would have been much more action packed and achieve the more exciting broadcast games they wanted. Though I do not miss the era of PvZ swarm hosts vs carrier stalemates.
Average noob player thinking their experience with the game has any bearing on game balance. listen my friend the game has been rebalanced probably over 10000 times. Win rates across all races at all levels of play are literally even. You sit here whining that ghosts are good ( assuming perfect positioning perfect micro and that you aren’t looking away at the wrong moment since ghosts are literally made of glass) but the truth is without them Terran would have literally no answer to outdoing Pisstoss splash damage and high HP. Zerg can literally pull tanks out of positioning with their casters. Without counter casters terran has no chance. snipe had already been nerfed into the ground being interrupt-able. They already took our big EMP radius away making it impossible to actually hit any significant portion of the enemy army. Taking EMP away would give terran no answer to enemy casters (who are chock full of game ending spells) and make fighting high hp high shield pisstoss units go from difficult to impossible even with perfect micro
Actually you cant use spaceships/scvs in water, because the preasure difference inner and outer is only 1 bar to 0 bar. But 30 meter under water it is 1 bar to 3 var difference.😅
That f*cking prism... one should have a couple of Wraiths just to chase down these Overlords and prisms... you kill a fair few of those for Zergs and Protoss, and you can basically negate a massive strategy for them (potential Nydus and Prism warps into the Terran base)...

Asymmetrical balance is the key. And if all of these things are OK. I love the design of Liberators...for protoss. Should've been a protoss unit instead of Tempest. Maybe they could've brought back scouts and give them the 'liberator' siege mode upgrade. Get rid of the stupid phoenixes and give Toss liberators. Or, corsairs. Give Terran better tank armor. Its sad to see them get ripped apart by literally everything.
Speak for yourself - most players regard Phoenix as one of if not the best designed unit in the game, with a high micro ceiling & multi-purpose special ability.

Second Starport or second Factory after 8 Rax is normal and players face it all the time. What is weird is continuing with Factory 3 & 4 in the late game against Protoss... that's more of a TvZ transition... doubtful this will ever work at the highest level.

@6:10 Space SCVs normally operate between 0 and 1 atmospheres of pressure. Water has atmospheric pressure much higher than 1. Very realistic.

Today we learned that disruptors counter tanks. And that turrets can ruin the day of even the best players.
Most of the time Tanks counter Disruptors. Only when the nova doesn't need to be microed and can move in a straight line can it reach full range.
@@hivetech4903 Or there's other units in the battle to draw fire from the tanks. They don't have to be sniped to be effective. We saw that here.
Stalker range buff idea: give +2 attack on the next attack after blinking
