It's embarrassing to analysts like Peek that anyone with eyeballs could have seen that Edey was a monster prospect. She travels around the world and has to justify it by identifying exotic prospects.
Perhaps you could research this, but there appear to be NBA teams, GMs, coaches and hangers on like this woman, who believe that no one over 19 years old should be drafted. Witness the two skinny French kids, Riesling and Sour or whoever they are being drafted into positions where failure is a distinct possibility, and two years of playing time and growth at a lower level would greatly increase their chances of success. Question : are their NBA teams with a multi-year record of only drafting teenagers, and if so, how has it gone? (Don't draft that Bird guy, he's 23, he has no upside). Memphis is in "win now" mode. "Upside" is irrelevant🍼

I remember her saying something to the effect of this is the worst draft pick in NBA history, and as a diehard Grizzlies fan I will go on record saying that Edey isn’t even the worst draft pick in Grizzlies franchise history! I know y’all remember Hasheem Thabeet, and that’s just the one y’all do remember! Now I was not initially a fan of the pick (I have definitely come around on Edey before the SL game) but even at that moment I couldn’t sit here and say Edey was the worst ever.

I wanted to see Edey again last night, but he couldn't play back to back and rested. Unlike many other summer league players have played back to back Kessler's late bloc of Edey's dunk attempt won the game for Utahj
The grizzlies aren’t playing most of their team back to back. One play doesn’t change the fact that Edey clearly outplayed Kessler.

@@itsdame20allows for increased playing time for rookies who have not had the time to adjust to the nba whistle, allowing them to acclimate to the league better. Kind of the whole point of summer league

Watched whole game. Zach Edey got 14 points and 13 rebounds and 3 blocks. But at near the end of regulation he missed an uncontested tip dunk and later Kessler blocked another dunk attempt. Zach failed to rebound late when he was very close to the ball. He seemed to tire late 4th and overtime, so I give him a B. The coasts hate the Midwest and the exhibit it over and over again. I knew Edey would not shoot 15 freebies in the National Championship . It was 14 and 13, inflate his stats.

He also did 14 points with almost no interior passes sent to him. His bread and butter is getting the ball passed into him in the low post but his teammates ignored him whenever he had good position. Most of his points were scored in transition or from putbacks. Considering he scored 14 points without hardly any post touches is pretty impressive
peek can pee anywhere
