When you push a car that is not as quick as the faster cars, you make mistakes. We didnt see it because lewis was half a minute down the road with Alonso, but lewis made loads of mistakes too and went off the road twice haha Leclerc used to make similar mistakes when he pushed his sub-standard ferrari past its limits. Norris was all over the place in the wet in what was realistically, the fastest car. Redbull have had the fastest car for 3 years and Mclaren have had the fastest car for 3 races. Mercedes are only just becoming competitive. Lewis fans will continue to be salty as he is regularly beaten this year, but anyone who knows anything about the sport knows how good Russell is and that podium was a great result.
lol🤣.. seems like You are the on who doesn't know much about the sport here. its not about making mistakes, its about the cost Of it... dude always makes mistakes when it really matters.. if he didn't collided with piastri he would have had the chance of possible overtake on lando for p2 with brand new mediums... nobody making fun of him just based on this race, everybody knows he makes mistakes when he should not. i mean look at last years Canada, Monaco, Singapore, zanvoort this years Australia. those were some costly points loose for the team. it might have costed them p2 last year but thanx to lewis consistency..
I think russel lacks experience when it comes to racing under pressure, similar to max in 2019/20 or lando in 21 give him some time and some more races like that and I think he’ll adapt, he is a very fast racer he just needs to keep his head
@@johnniejay Lets count up Coulthard's wins, podiums, poles and compare them to Russell. Based of stats Russell isn't even on par with Coulthard and if Merc don't give him a competitive car from 2026 onwards then he won't even reach Coulthard's level.
